“we broke up last night…” said Miho

“no need Dai-chan since I didn’t cry last night…I don’t know…it’s just that I feel that I was not hurt when we broke up…maybe because our relationship really doesn’t work…I know that I loved him but I just really felt that I was not that hurt and I don’t know why…” said Miho

Miho’s POV:

“Well, this is Daichan, my childhood friend…we knew each other since we’re five years old…he’s kind and caring especially to us, his friends…but he acts like a gangster when we’re outside…people misunderstood him sometimes but I knew Daichan very well so I trust him…and I also have my friend Rein-chan, we’re friends since middle school and she and Daichan gets along especially with boyish stuffs…she has her ever-geek and sweet boyfriend Kei Inoo…at first, I thought that they would not going to be with each other because of the endless fights that they’ve done before but in the end, it’s the two of them who ended up with each other…Rein-chan always tease me to Daichan since we were so close but I have my motto that childhood friends can’t fall in love with each other…”

After class…

“I told you Miho-chan, it’s Daichan that you’re looking for…!” insisted Rein

“now why did you brought that topic all of a sudden Rein-chan…?” asked Miho

“it’s because I can feel that the two of you share the same feelings for each other…that you like each other…! You’re just denying…just look at my example, you already had boyfriends before but that doesn’t last, you keep on saying that you’re looking something into a guy…then here is Daichan who never had a girlfriend before nor never courted a girl before…isn’t it obvious that you’re just waiting for each other…?” explained Rein

“Daiki, he went at Akazuya High…! Isn’t that the school where Shori is studying…? And he said that he’ll teach Shori a lesson…!” exclaimed Kei

“NANIIIII…?!!!!!!” exclaimed Miho then she run out of their school and followed Daiki

At Akazuya High…

“OI…!” exclaimed Daiki as he saw Shori

“doue…?” asked Shori

“how dare you broke Miho’s heart…?!!!” exclaimed Daiki and by that, he gave a hard punch on Shori’s jaw

“ittai~…hey…! What the heck are you doing…?! I didn’t broke her heart…!” said Shori then he also punched Daiki

“urusai…! She told me that you two broke up last night and it looks like she was not feeling well today…! Didn’t I told you before that I’ll wreck your face when you hurt Miho…?!!!” shouted Daiki then he kicked Shori at the stomach

“we both decided on it…! It’s our decision…! She also agreed to it and she looks fine when we parted last night…” coughed Shori

“bakero…! Now you’ll taste my fist…!” exclaimed Daiki as he was about to throw another punch on Shori but…

“DAIKI YAMETE KUDASAI…!!!!” shouted Miho which made Daiki froze

“Miho…” uttered Daiki as he looked behind him

“Shori, daijoubu…?” asked Miho

“not really…woah Miho, your friend really is furious…” said Shori

“gomenasai Shori, I didn’t know that this idiot would go here and would do this to you…” said Miho as she handles a handkerchief to Shori for him to wipe the dirt on his face

“I understand, he’s just concern on you…you’re lucky to have him as a friend…” smiled Shori and then he left them

“YOU…!!!!! BAKA…! Why did you came here…?! Didn’t I tell you that it was fine…?!!!!” shouted Miho

“I know you’re not ok, I can see that in your eyes…” said Daiki as he wipe the blood in the corner of his mouth

“now look what happened to you…tsk…” said Miho then he took Daiki at the park then she went at the convenient store

“ok, I’ll treat your wounds…” said Miho then she started putting cotton on the surface of the wounds of Daiki

“ittai~…” hissed Daiki

“endure the pain…besides, this is all your doings that’s why you got wounds…” said Miho

“but I just wanted to make that guy feel the pain that he gave to you…” said Daiki

“but I said you don’t have to since I really didn’t feel the pain…well, maybe a little but it’s not too much for you to react like that…I know you’re my best friend and you’re concern for me but really, no need to make a fuss out of it…” said Miho

“well, I guess I really am overacting a while ago…gomen…” said Daiki as he bowed his head

“ok~ now don’t be sad now Daichan, I appreciated what you’ve done for me but I think that hurting Shori was not a good idea…you really care for me…arigatou…” smiled Miho as she handles a Pocky box to Daiki

“eh…? POCKY…!” exclaimed Daiki as his face brightens up as he saw his favorite food, Pocky

“I knew this would cheer you up…” smiled Miho

The next day…

“ok~ so looks like you’ve been in trouble yesterday…” said Rein as she poked Daiki’s band aid

“ittai~…! Yamete Rein…!” exclaimed Daiki

“so how was it…? Did you beat him up…? Who won…?” asked Rein who looks very eager to know what happened yesterday

“of course I gave him a lesson…he’s no match with me…” said Daiki proudly and have a high five with Rein

“you two, would you stop that conversation already…? Rein-chan, you shouldn’t cheer on them fighting, you should’ve stop them in doing so…” said Miho

“eh…? Demo, I’m really cheering for Daichan, I know his capabilities in fighting…” said Rein

“stop acting boyish ok, and don’t tolerate Daiki being involved into a fight…” said Kei

“yeah right…so these two here were really KJ…” laughed Rein

“Miho-chan, someone is looking for you…” said one of their classmates

“eh…? Who…?” asked Miho as she went at the door

“anooo~ Miho-chan…can you come with me…?” asked Chinen then they went at the rooftop

“doue Chinen-kun…?” asked Miho

“anoooo~ Miho-chan, now how shall I say this…? I like you…” said Chinen

“eh…?” uttered Miho

“I really like you since before, but this was the only time when I gathered all of the courage to tell you how I really feel…I’m not asking for your reply already, now I just want to express how I truly feel for you…let me court you then when you’re ready to give me your answer, then just tell me…” said Chinen

“ha…hai…” uttered Miho who can’t find words to say to the sudden confession of Chinen

As she went back to their room…

“what does Chinen-kun wants from you…?” asked Daiki

“he confessed to me…” uttered Miho who still looked shocked to what had happened

“eh…?!!!! So he likes you…! Kyaaaaaaaaaaah~…! So he is in great timing since you just broke up with Shori now you can entertain new suitors…!” squeal Rein as if a fangirl flailing

“I don’t know, I think this was not the right time to have another boyfriend…” said Miho

“eh…? Now why not…? You need inspiration and besides, Chinen-kun looks like a nice person…” said Rein

“hey, it looks like you’re really rooting for that guy eh…and you’re flailing too…now I’m jealous…” pouted Kei

“eh…? Now why are you jealous…? Come here, you’re still the one and only person here in my heart ok…? So even if I flail over other guys, the one who’ll still makes my heart doki~ doki~ is you…” said Rein

“so did you already gave him your answer…?” asked Daiki

“not yet…he also said that he’s still not forcing me to answer him now, just take my time and when I’m ready to tell him my answer then I’ll just let him know…” said Miho

“demo, do you like him…?” asked Daiki

“hmmm…I don’t know…but he’s a nice guy…” said Miho

“so there is a possibility that you might fall for him…?” asked Daiki

After class…

“you…! Come over here…!” said Rein dragging Daiki

“doue…?” asked Daiki

“now how long are you going to do nothing towards Miho-chan…?!!” exclaimed Rein

Days passed by and the closeness between Chinen and Miho grew and that can be noticed by Miho’s friends…

“looks like you and Chinen-kun were getting along each other…” said Daiki as he saw Chinen accompany Miho to their classroom

“hai…! I learned a lot of things from him…! We had so much similarities…!” said Miho happily

“so, are you gonna give him your answer…?” asked Daiki

“yes…!” said Miho then she went on her seat

“now this is what I’m talking about…! SLOWPOKE(a character from Pokemon)…!” exclaimed Rein

“she likes him…what can I do about that…?” sighed Daiki

During their PE class, Miho’s section and Chinen’s section were both using the gym so they can see the activities of each other’s class…as the boys from Miho’s class were playing basketball, Chinen and the other guys from his class were playing table tennis…

“sugoi ne~ Chinen-kun is really great in table tennis…! I don’t know how to play that…” said Miho

“you’re cheering for Chinen-kun since a while ago…better cheer for Daichan also…” said Rein

“eh…? But I already know that Daichan is great in basketball so I don’t have to cheer for him…GO CHINEN-KUN…!” cheered Miho

Daiki keeps on hearing Miho’s cheering for Chinen and this made him distracted from their game…

“oi…! Daiki…! Look at the ball…!” exclaimed Kei as he saw that the ball was flying towards Daiki’s direction then *blag* Daiki, got hit by the ball straight in the face making him fall on the ground and his nose bleed…

“DAICHAN…!” exclaimed Miho worriedly then she ran towards Daiki and checked on him

They took Daiki at the infirmary…

“erm…” uttered Daiki as he gain consciousness

“Daichan…” said Miho

“Miho…?” asked Daiki

“Daichan daijoubu…?” asked Miho

“I’m fine…why are you here…?shouldnt you be cheering on Chinen…?” asked Daiki

“BAKA…! You’re injured so that’s why I’m here…! I’m worried for you…!” said Miho

“you are…?” asked Daiki

“of course…! You’re my friend so that’s why I’m worried about you…! What if something happens to you…?!” exclaimed Miho

“a friend…” uttered Daiki

“yeah…a friend…” uttered Miho, “and a very special someone…” she thought

The next day, Chinen fetched Miho at her house and asked her to go out with him…

“let’s rent a bike…” said Chinen

“ok…! I love riding bikes…!” said Miho

“anooo~ we’re renting two bikes…? Can’t I gave you a backride…?” asked Miho

“backride…? I can’t drive a bike when there is a backride…we might get in danger…don’t you know how to ride a bike…?” asked Chinen

“I know how to ride a bike…it’s just that I remembered someone who always giving me a backride when we’re riding a bike before…but don’t mind me…ikuzou…” said Miho then she rode her bike

After that, they went to stroll at the park then their feet took them at the playground…

“I haven’t been here for a long time…” said Miho

“eh…?” uttered Chinen

“when I was a kid, I usually went here…then we’ll gonna play all day long then our kachans would get mad at us since we went home with our clothes so dirty but the next day, we would still do it and we’re having fun…then when I got injured, he’s always there to stop me from crying…he would buy band aid and treat my wound then he will smile at me then the pain would go away…” Miho reminisced the times where she and Daiki was still kids and doing the stuffs that they are not doing now, then tears flow down her eyes, “oh, why am I crying…?gomen Chinen-kun, you saw me being emotional…” said Miho while wiping her tears away

“Miho-chan…I think I know your answer…” smiled Chinen as he hold Miho at her shoulders and wipes her tears away…let him know how you feel…” said Chinen

On the other hand…

“Daichan…! They went on a date…!” said Rein while banging the table at Daiki’s living room

“woah~ chillax Rein-chan, you might break that…” said Kei while trying to make his girlfriend calm

“now what shall we do…?! She probably gave him her sweet yes…” said Rein

“I think I can do it now…” said Daiki

“eh…?” uttered Kei and Rein

“I think I can confess to her already…” said Daiki

“well, you should’ve done that before…!” said Rein

“so what’s your plan…?” asked Kei

“here…” said Daiki then they move near each other while discussing the plan

The next day…

“Miho~…” said Daiki

“oh Daichan, you looked happy today…doue…?” asked Miho

“I’m gonna confess to the girl I like later…” said Daiki

“eh…?confess…? to the girl you like…?” uttered Miho as her knees weaken upon hearing those words from Daiki

“hai~ I should’ve done this before but I don’t have enough courage but now I’m sure to tell her how I feel…” said Daiki

“then who is she…? You haven’t told me about this… Why so sudden…?” Miho fired Daiki such questions as she felt like crying

“you knew her…you knew her very much…you’ll see later who she is…” winked Daiki then he walked away

“he’s gonna confess…so he likes someone else…why is it so painful…?” thought Miho as tears flow down from her eyes

All day, Miho was spacing out thinking about Daiki’s confession…that afternoon…

“Miho, please go to the dance studio later…there, you’ll meet the girl that I love…” said Daiki

“I’m not in the mood Daichan…” said Miho

“eh…? Come on Miho…you’re my best friend so I want you to meet her now…onegai~…” said Daiki in his ever sweetest voice

“oh~ ok…ok…I’ll be there…” said Miho who can’t resist the charm of her childhood friend

“he would confess to a girl at the dance studio…?is the girl a dancer…?then why did he want me to be there…? Great, now I’ll feel double the pain when I saw that the girl would give him her sweet yes…” thoughts were running on Miho’s mind while walking towards the dance studio

“Daichan…?” uttered Miho as she went inside the room, “why is it so dark in here…?” she said then suddenly the lights turn on and she saw her reflexes in every mirror that surrounds the whole room

“now I look like stressed…well, I’m not in the mood to fix myself today since I’m broken hearted…” she thought while looking at herself at the mirror

“hey Daichan, where are you…? Aren’t you supposed to confess to the girl you like…?where is she…?” Miho asked these questions

“she’s here now…you can see her in every mirror that surrounds this whole room…” said Daiki as he walked towards Miho

“Daichan…” uttered Miho

“yes, the girl that I like is no other than the girl standing right in front of you…the girl who’s together with me since we were kids up until now that we’re in high school…the girl that I like is you Miho…” said Daiki

Miho can’t find the words to say and she just let her tears flow in her eyes…

“I loved you from the start Miho…now I know why I didn’t court other girls before…it’s because the one who owns my heart is you…” said Daiki as he wipes Miho’s tears

“Daiki, now it’s all clear to me…that’s why my past relationships didn’t last is because I’m looking for something…no, I’m looking for someone…and that is you…you’re just beside me but I keep on looking from afar…now I know my true feelings…I love you Daiki…” said Miho as she hugged Daiki

“I’ll be your childhood friend and your forever lover Miho…” said Daiki and the next thing that Miho knew was she was sharing a romantic kiss with Daiki

“I love this guy and I’ll forever love him…” thought Miho
