Flashback

After 10 Years

It was a bright sunny day.

The warm sunshine shone on us, the kids playing at the playground.

It was there with my friends.

Our teacher had brought us out to the playground to play.

As i was walking around, admiring the gardens, i saw a butterfly.

"Oh! Pwetty! Come here!" I shouted excitedly.

I chased it and tried to grab it. However, it just led me further and further.

I did not know that I was further and further from my friends.

As I stopped the butterfly hovered in front of me.

I reached out to grab it, but it flew higher in the skies, until I counldn’t see it anymore.

I sulked, but then panicked.

Mu surroundings were unfamiliar.

The trees loomed above me.

It was rather scary to a child at the age of 7.

The sky soon turned a bright orange.

I knew my friends were going to go back.

Just then, I saw this bird.

A bird that was white from head to tail.

I sneaked behind it and grabbed it in my arms.

It did not panic, it merely settled in my arms.

I wanted to bring it home.

I then started looking for a way out.

I suddenly tripped.

The bird I was carrying was squashed by me.

I gave a squeal of terror, and placed it gently on the floor.

It did not move.

It’s limp, lifeless body laid on the ground as I broke into tears.

I did not care that I was having wounds and it was starting to bleed.

All I care was about this innocent bird I killed.

“Are you alright?”

Someone asked me.

I looked up.

He was a handsome boy, probably in his teens.

I sniffed and shook my head.

“Why?” He asked me.

His voice was surprisingly gentle.

“I kwilled this bird *sniff sniff* because I triwpped. *sobs*”

He carefully laid the bird in his hands.

Whispering “watch”, he waved his hand over the bird.

Magically, the bird came back to life.

I wowhed in amazement as the bird flew off.

He then took my arm.

“Look, you are bleeding.”

He rested his hand on my wounds.

After seconds, the wounds disappeared.

Before I could say anything, he offered to take me back.

~

“What is yowur namwe?” I asked the boy.

He smiled.

“Lay. What about yours?”

“Hye Su.”

“Very nice Hye Su. Do you know it means grace and beautiful?”

I did not know what was the meaning of grace, but did not feel like asking.

~

“Teacher!” I ran towards my teacher, whose face relaxed as she saw me.

“Come, we must go now.” The teacher led me away.

I turned around to thank Lay.

But, he was long gone.

Chapter 2: Ooo...the female lead knows of her powers, interesting. This is different from the usual storyline which has similar story settings. Except whereby the female lead knows nothing of her powers. A nice change from the norm. will be waiting for your update author-nim~~ ^^
