"i think i am fond of the rain."

"yeah?"

"yeah."

the two are sitting on kris' full-sized bed, looking out the rain-speckled window. they're both a bit drenched, bundled up in blankets in an attempt to dry themselves off.

"i have never really been out in the rain," lu han says, shifting a bit in kris' lap. "that was my first time in the rain."

"it's good that you liked it," kris replies, gaze moving towards lu han.

"yes, i am quite fond of the rain," lu han repeats, eyes still fixated on the window.

the rain is quite fond of lu han, too, kris thinks, with the way its lasting moisture causes his shirt to cling to his sides. the way the droplets still seem to tumble down his skin.

the rain wants to explore lu han's body. love every bit of his skin the way kris does.

it wants to hear the mechanic whirring where lu han's heart should be, and pretend that it won't affect their tomorrows.
