If someone would of told Kevin he'd become an Idol, have to move to the other side of the world, and be in a group in which a member would wind up hating him he would of declined but since he was naive and had the dream of becoming an Idol stuck in his head plus the fact nobody could see into the future here he was in South Korea, in a boy band with six other guys one of which seems to hate his guts for no apparent reason Kevin could think of. The guy is Kim Kibum yes the younger brother of Kim Hyun Joon of SS501. Ever since Kevin first walked into the practice room he got warm hugs and high fives from the other members well most of them Kibum simply looked at him like a lion sizing up his prey before simply turning away to either practice or talk to another member. It's been like this ever since and kevin was used to it used to the staring and the random bullying he'd get. Kevin had tried to comfront Kibum many times only to get no responce back or a simple shrug before he'd just up and leave. It wasn't until 'You Know U-Kiss' and their other tv programs came out did things become more uneasy and akward between the two. While the camera was rolling the boys would get the fan girls going. During this Kevin found himself attacted to Alexander and Eli keeping as much distance from Kibum as he could without netizens, fans, or anyone else noticing but of course people noticed and Kevin found himself being yelled at by the manger.


"You and Kibum need to start interacting more like the other members are doing people are getting the idea you two aren't close."


"Thats the thing Hyung we aren't close."


"Well you two better start acting close or else there will be rumors."


"But but Hyung he hates me!"


"No buts get out there and start doing some fan service!"


Seeing that he had lost the battle Kevin takes a deep breath and walks back into the practice room. But instead of going to Kibum like he should he walks back to the safety of the oldest member. Looking down for a moment then gently poking the older one's shoulder.


"Xander hyung can I talk to you for a moment its kind of important."


"Uh yeah sure thing Kevin whats going on are you sick?"


"No i'm fine it has to do with Kibum. He hates me hyung! Just hates me he doesnt speak to me, he looks at me sometimes but thats it its like i have some sickness that he can catch." Kevin found himself at a lose of breath. Closing his eyes he takes in a deep breath looking to Alexander hoping he would be able to help.


Blinking Alexander looks down for a moment running his fingers through his hair as he thinks of what to say to the boy and how he could be of help. He cared deeply for the younger boy as he did for all the members. After a while he finally looks at the boy placing his hand on the other's shoulder he gives him a soft smile.


"He doesn't hate you. You know how Kibum can be."


"Still Hyung atleast he talks to you and the rest of the guys. I did nothing to him."


Sighing Alexander pats Kevin on the head softly. "Look we need to contiunue with practice. Just try talking to him one more time. I'm sorry I can't be of much help maybe Eli can help you he seems to like you alot." Xander smiles and gives him a wink before skipping over to mess with Kiseop.


'Maybe he's right i'll talk to Eli hyung once practice is over with' Kevin thinks to himself with a slight smile on his face.


Once practice did finally end Kevin hung back waiting on Eli to finish getting his stuff. When he walks by Kevin quickly grabs the other's arm. "Eli hey um do you mind if we talk really quick?"


Eli's eyes widen slightly at the contact but slowly calms down when he hears the soft spoken voice of Kevin. "About what?"


"Uhm well you see I got yelled at cause apperently Kibum and I have to do fan service but Kibum hates me and won't even talk to me." At this point Kevin was about to break down into tears but decided it was best not to since Eli would probably just think he was more girl like then they already thought he was.


All Eli could do was stare at Kevin tilting his head here and there until the boy was finished speaking. "You know i'm not good with advice Kevin." in reality it was because Eli had feelings for the boy in front of him and even trying to hold a normal conversation with Kevin was hard for him. Plus the fact that the more the conversations between them went on the more he almost blurts out his true feelings.


Turning Eli so he was fulling facing him Kevin grips at his grip looking at him with pleading eyes. "Comeee on please Eli you have to know of something I can do!"


Looking away Eli scrunched his noise cursing himself for liking the boy infront of him. Looking back at the other he sighs and nods slowly. "Alright i'll help! I will go talk to him and ask him whats going on but then the rest is all up to you."


"Oh thank you so much Eli your the best!" Kevin jumps up and down before hugging Eli tightly and skipping off to the car. 'what did i get myself into?' Eli thinks to himself.


Looking around for and finding Kibum Eli walks over to him and pulls him lightly to the side. He decides to be straight up with the other instead of dragging it out. "Look why do you hate Kevin?"


Kibum didn't even know what hit him. All of a sudden he was being pulled to the side by an aggrivated Eli who blurts out that he hates Kevin. "Whoa wait what? I hate Kevin who ever said that?"


Confusion struck Eli making him scratch his head. "You don't hate him? Well he sure thinks you do. You never talk to him, give him the cold shoulder, and your hardly ever nice to him even when cameras are rolling and fans can see."


"I don't hate him. I just don't know how to talk to him. Everytime i try i get choked up and lose all my thoughts." Kibum crosses his arms and turns away hating the fact that his strong image was slowly being eaten away as he was talking to the other.


"You like Kevin don't you? As in more then a friend." the last words left Eli's mouth in a more angry way then he wanted. He liked Kevin if the fan services didn't already give that away.


Kibum couldn't help but blink at the tone in Eli's voice and stumble at the words he spoke. "No I of course not! He is another boy after all!"


"Your a horrible liar Kibum." Eli begins to walk to the door he was done talking to the other. If he didn't want to admit his feelings to Kevin. He'd do it himself.


"Wait! Okay I do like Kevin! But it seems that i'm not the only one." Running to the side of the other they begin their walk to the car. Kibum not taking his eyes of Eli.


"Your wrong. I did have a crush on him i'll admit but its gone now i've moved on." Biting his bottom lip he moves faster until he was to the car. Almost jumping in he moves to the back, putting his head phones on and blasting his music so he couldn't be bothered. As much as he liked Kevin and wanted him to be his. He didn't deserve Kevin. He wasn't good enough for the boy.


"Whats wrong with Eli?" Kiseop asks tilting his head asking Kibum as he gets into the car.


"Uh i'm not sure. He was talking to me one moment then runs off the next." In reality Kibum knew. He knew Eli was lying his feelings for the boy we're still there but if he wasn't going to admit it he wasn't just going to stand there and ignore his own feelings either.


When they finally made it to their dorms they all make their way to various places. Kiseop flops down on the couch along with Alexander who nags at him how gross it is to not go right into the bathroom to take a shower. Dongho walks into his room and begins to grab sleeping cloths complaining about how he is never the first to the bathroom and how its because he is the youngest. Soohyun makes his way to the bathroom evil grin on his face he loves messing with Dongho. Kevin moves to the kitchen to grab a drink he could feel eyes on him and when he turns around his eyes widen. Kibum was leaning against the wall looking at him with the same scary like stare but this time his eyes seemed to have soften slightly.


"Kevin mind if we talk?"


"Wow your actually talking to me thats a first!" Kevin says saracsticly walking towards the living room only to be pulled back into the kitchen.


"Look i'm sorry i have been so rude to you okay? It's not that I don't like you it is just that I um...I...Gah....You know what never mind im just sorry okay!" Kibum places his head in his hands cursing himself 'way to go kibum! Make a fool of yourself. I'm such a fool!'


Tilting his head Kevin listens and watchs the other not understanding some of what he says mostly because it came out in mumbles more then anything. hesiently he places a hand on the other's shoulder. "Its just what Kibum? You can talk to me." Kevin takes Kibum's hands away from his face smiling that bright adorable smile of his. lifing the other's gaze to his.


Gulping Kibum looks to him searching Kevin's face for any sign that he was joking or even making fun of the way he was acting. "Well you see the reason I have been acting the way I do to you is because.....because....I um.....Like you...And not in the way a guy should for another guy." Kibum lets out a deep breath he hadn't noticed he was holding his breath until just now.


Kevin who had been silent while Kibum spoke stumbled a bit from shock as the words spoken ran through his head a million times. Kibum liked him more then a friend? The forbidden type of like. And Kevin thought he was the only gay one in the group. Guess he was wrong. Taking in a deep breath he grabs Kibum's hand and pats it with his free hand. "You have an odd way of showing someone you like them you know. Why couldn't you just be up front with me Kibum?"


"Hush will you! It's not easy telling someone you like them especally when it is someone of the same as you!" Closing his eyes he calms himself down before beginning again. "Plus I didn't know if you'd feel the same way. I mean I kind of already knew you were gay no offence its just the way you act you know?"


"No offence taken and I guess I could understand that but you still shouldn't of been so rude to me. It really hurts my feelings."


"I'm sorry Kevin. So um how would you feel about going on a you know date with me?" Kibum looks into Kevin's eyes flashing his own adorable smile at the other.


Clasping his hands together Kevin smiles and does a slight jump. "I'd love to Kibum. How about the next time we have off?"


Smiling Kibum nods. "Sounds like a plan to me. Now why don't we go hang out with the others?"


Nodding Kevin takes Kibum's hand in his and laces their fingers together. Which makes not only him blush but Kibum also. As they make their way to the couch in sit down they get stares from the other's. A confused one from Kiseop and Soohyun, A knowing mother like stare from Xander, and a not really interested one from Dongho.


Eli who had been watching the whole scene from the dinning room table gets up and speed walks to his shared room and closes the door. He was hurt and angry. Hurt because he was losing the boy he liked to another. Angry because he didn't get to him first.


Everyone was startled by the little scene Eli had started. He rarely acted like that. Looking to each other nobody knew exactly what to do nor did they really want to go and ask. Kevin lets go of Kibum's hand and gets up. "Since none of you want to see whats wrong i will."


Walking to the closed door he knocks softly. "Eli is everything okay? May I come in?"


"Just leave me alone.."


"Awh come on let me in. Please?"


"Fine. But you can let yourself in I didn't lock the door."


With that Kevin opens the door. Closing it behind him he moves to the bed and sits next to Eli. "So are you going to tell me whats going on?"


"It's nothing really I'm just in a bad mood that all." Placing a hand on the top of the other's head to mess with his hair. Smirking softly.


"Yah! Eli stop that!" Kevin squeals softly pushing the hand away from him with a soft smile. "So I talked to Kibum he told me everything. He even asked me out on a date isnt that a turn of events?!" Kevin couldn't help but let another squeal as he thought of what happened.


Eli only nodded putting on his best fake smile. "That's great Kevin i'm glad things are finally turning around for you."


Smiling Kevin nods. "Yeah i'm actually really happy now that I know he doesn't hate me."
"Why don't you go out and hang with the rest of them I think i'm going to get some rest."


"Alright Eli I'll talk to you later then." Getting up off the bed Kevin gives Eli a small hug before leaving.


When he was finally alone Eli couldn't hold back the tears that were forming in his eyes. He hated how he had become so less manly in those last few moments. How he let the guy he liked slip through his fingers so easily. He didn't even put up a fight for him. rubbing the tears away he sighs. Kevin was happy his bright adorable smile was back.


'That's all that matters isn't it? That he is happy. As much as it hurts to see them together. I know that letting Kevin go is the best thing. One day maybe things will turn around for me and i'll be able to call Kevin mine...' Laying his head onto his pillow Eli curls up into a loose ball and closes his eyes. Hoping that sleep would take him quickly.
