Straight Through The Heart

Straight Through The Heart

Pitiful.” A voice called out with eyes glued on a tomboy named Amber. The girl with the boy-ish charms lifted her hands up in loose fists, barely able to stand. Her blonde fauxhawk was corrupted with the Earth's dirt. On the side of her bottom lip was a small cut which was the source of the thin trail of blood flowing down her chin. The rest of her face was masked with bruises that were mercilessly delivered. Her get-up made her look like a biker chick from the leather boots to the leather vest and the bandana around her forehead. All of it was tainted with drips of blood.

Then there was her opponent, Krystal. She looked completely fine, despite the one bruise to the side of her face. A lucky shot that the one named Amber managed to land. Krystal was the younger one between the two with long flowing brown hair that reached the middle of her back. Unlike the tattered enemy before her, Krystal was clean as a whistle in her mafia outfit. She even sported a matching black fedora.

Their staring contest lasted for a moment until the blonde fell to one knee slightly panting. Damn. C'mon body, cooperate with me! Her gaze was locked on Krystal as she watched the latter come into reaching distance. She watched the brunette bend over to come to the same eye level.

You know Amber, I'm starting to feel a little bad about all of this.” The younger girl stated. She stuck out her hand between them with a very small gap between her thumb and forefinger. “Just a little.” Krystal smirked.

The tomboy gritted her teeth as she found the smirk as more of a taunt. Suddenly her fist threw forward towards the younger girl's face, thankfully making contact and leaving another bruise. Krystal's hat was knocked right off the top of her head.

In reflex, Krystal quickly stepped back and held her cheek as she tried to get her mind back in order. Her gaze settled on the weak tomboy who had no energy left. Amber had a hand to the floor to keep her body up. Her head hung slightly, mouth agape, as her eyes were still locked onto the brunette before her.

Hmph. Nice punch.” The younger girl complimented as she rubbed her cheek to soothe the pain. She reached down and dusted off her fedora before replacing it back to position on her head. With an advancing step, Krystal gave the tomboy a quick kick to the face, causing the latter to grunt in pain. “But a servant needs to know their place.” The young one stated victoriously. Seeing Amber look at her with weak eyes, Krystal figured that it was okay to advance once again.

The tomboy watched the girl come closer and then crouch in front of her. She wanted to attack again, land another punch and paint Krystal's face with bruises just like she had done to her. The only problem was that she was too weak. Her body was unresponsive and all she could do was watch as a gentle hand reached out and wiped away the trail of blood from her chin. Their eyes never parted from each other.

Cleaning her hand on her pants leg, Krystal smirked again. “Do you still love me?”

The tomboy gazed deeply into the latter's eyes before nodding. “I do still love you Krystal. I will never stop loving you.”

Hearing those words made Krystal flash a toothy smile as she nodded. “That's all I needed to know.” With that, she stood up and pushed aside the flap of her jacket. Reaching under her outer clothing, the younger girl pulled a pistol from her waistband holster.

Amber's eyes widened at the sight of the newly acquired weapon. “K-Krys. What are you gonna-”

Her sentence was cut off by the sound of the gun's hammer sliding back and then snapping into place, the pistol's chamber now loaded with a fatal bullet. “Isn't it obvious?” She rose the gun and pointed it at her lover's forehead.

“Krys...” The tomboy's body froze as she now stared down the barrel of the gun. “I...I thought you said that you love me?!”

Krystal cracked a devilish grin as she tilted her head. “You're right.” Her hand lowered the gun so it pointed at Amber's chest. “Consider this...as an arrow through your heart.”

[BANG!]

The tomboy's body slumped forward, her eyes weakly fixed onto her love.

Ba-dump....Why did you do this?

…..Ba-dump.....I thought you loved me....

…......Ba-dump........Do you know?

[Player 2 Wins!]

Aww, see that was just mean.” The tomboy's voice mysteriously echoed. Amber's lifeless body was no where to be seen.

Krystal smiled and mimicked the motions of taking off glasses when suddenly her body frizzled out like a T.V. screen with static problems. Then finally, she vanished.

---Reality---

The long haired girl turned to look at the tomboy, who was very much alive. In both of their hands were similar looking black glasses, the words “Player Needed” written on the inside of both of the lenses in red. “Don't take it so personal baby. It's just a game.” Krystal gave her girlfriend a playful smile. They made sure to put the high tech spectacles on top of the little corner table next to the sofa against the wall.

“You didn't have to shoot me though! And through the heart!” Amber protested with arms flailing around in the air for emphasis.

Krystal couldn't help but giggle at how much her girlfriend was overreacting over the ordeal. “I told you! It was-”

“An arrow through the heart.” Amber mocked in a dreamy tone, clasping her hands together and fluttering her eyelids.

“Yah!” The younger girl suddenly lunged at her teaser. Both of the girls then ran around the room giggling and laughing. “Don't make fun of me you llama!” The long haired girl suddenly jumped on the tomboy's back.

Hooking her arms under Krystal's legs to keep her secure, Amber started to spin around in circles making the maknae latch to her back with an unbreakable grasp across the her chest.

The door suddenly swung open, but the two didn't notice with all the spinning. “Yah.” The person finally called out. Amber stood still so the duo would face the caller. Their visions took a while to adjust due to the slight spinning of the room until their eyes settled on Luna. “Victoria umma said to stop killing each other in here and to come out for dinner.”

The Kryber couple shared glances before both saying, “Nah~” Giggling when they saw Luna's little pout.

The messenger was about to leave when a thought came to mind. “It's Mexican food!”

Amber's eyebrows raised. “Mexican?” Seeing Luna nod, the blonde put down Krystal with pursed lips. A full on debate with either eating or playing video games was clashing in her head.

Judging by the look on the tomboy's face, Luna knew there was a war going on in her head. To reel in the blonde she quickly stated, “There's tacos!”

“Tacos!” The blonde yelled rushing out of the room with outreached hands. Both of the girls that were left couldn't help but laugh at Amber's dorkiness.

Luna looked over at Krystal and smiled. “Your girlfriend sure is something.”

Krystal nodded. “Yup, she sure is.”

“You coming out for dinner?”

As this was said, Amber's phone on the corner table rang a short tune grabbing the attention of both girls. Judging by the melody played, Krystal knew it was a text message. “Hold on a second.” She mumbled making her way to the door. Sticking her head towards the kitchen, the maknae hollered. “Hey llama! You got a text!”

The was a short pause before a response came back. “Can you read it and text back?” There was the sound of a crunch before a somewhat muffled, “Thanks!” was added.

Krystal giggled before facing Luna. “I'll be out in a minute.”

Luna nodded and headed off towards the kitchen.

[Krystal's POV]

I walked over to Amber's phone and unlocked it with the number code only we knew. Oh, it's Sunny.

[From] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] Yah! I've been playing that video game nonstop just to beat you! The next time we duel, you're going down!

I chuckled and shook my head. Maybe Amber just got lucky. I mean, she was no match for me, but Sunny beat me without even breaking a sweat! My thumbs worked their magic to reply that I had beaten Amber, but before I could send it... Buzz. Another text.

[From] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] And we won't stop playing until I finally beat you!

Finally?...Buzz.

[From] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] Even if it takes forever! Mwahahahahaha!

Wait...what does she mean by- Buzz.

[From] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] PS: Let's forget all of those rematches we had. Saying that I only one once out of 50 or so matches isn't very impressive...I will beat you!

No way! Amber beating Sunny at this game? I reread the text to make sure I wasn't delusional. Nope, not delusional. Those texts really had that written. Hmm...I wonder if...

[To] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] Krystal beat me at the game

I waited for a quick minute for her response. Buzz.

[From] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] Suuuure she did. That's cute that you let her beat you.

L-Let me beat her?! So Amber wasn't even trying?!

But when we duel, none of that letting me win stuff! No mercy remember?! I WILL beat you!

Knowing Sunny and her competitive side when it came to gaming, I concluded that she wasn't lying. Amber really did beat Sunny at this video game! Then my subconscious brewed up a quick reply to the SNSD member.

[To] Shortie Shi Dae

[Message] You're on!

Reading the text I just sent I tilted my head to the side a little. Did I text that as Amber or as myself?

There were soft footsteps before my silly llama poked her head in the room. From the corner of was a piece of cabbage hanging freely as she chewed. She really did look like a llama. My girlfriend used her tongue to swipe up the green vegetable before swallowing her food. “I heard my phone going off like crazy! Who is it?”

I smiled to her. “Sunny.”

Finally revealing her whole body and leaning against the door frame, I spotted the half eaten taco in her hands. “What did she say?” Crunch. Amber...eating like that really makes me believe you were once born as a llama in your past life.

She wants to play the video game with you the next time we all hang out together.” I answered honestly.

My llama girlfriend nodded her head as she swallowed her food again. “Cool. What did you reply back?” Crunch.

I tilted my head in a cute manner with a grin. “That I beat you.”

Her eyes widened as she heard my response, freezing for a moment.

Then she told me of how you let me win and that she wants to duel until she finally beats you.” Setting her phone down, I walked over to my silly llama who just swallowed her food again. “Amber,” I used some of my aegyo to keep her in the room. “do you remember what I told you before we started playing?”

The taco loving llama decided that the best way to avoid answering my question was to shove the rest of the taco in ! All I heard as a response was...I wouldn't even be able to spell it out for you! It was just plain gibberish! I took an advancing step, only to make her retreat into the hallway, but I kept right on her heels...or toes in this case. “I'm sorry baby, what was that?” Again my voice was filled with my aegyo.

Amber finally swallowed her food and chuckled nervously, the smell of beef and taco sauce infiltrating my nostrils. Aigoo, this girl. “Uhm. Didn't it have something to do with mercy?”

Mmm-hmm~” I nodded cutely. Amber knew that all of this cuteness I was showing her really meant either one of two things, either I wanted something my way or she was in trouble.

My girlfriend took a step back only to bump into the wall. “And how...I was supposed to...let you win?”

I'm not sure of what expression I made, but I knew one thing was for sure, Amber was gone! She dashed so quickly down the hallway I wondered if she had a time stopper. “Yah!” I managed to get out once I got a hold of everything. “If you do that again then I'll really put a bullet through your heart!” My voice echoed throughout the dorm as I chased after the blonde into the living room. “I told you not to go easy on me!”

Amber and I jumped around the living room, on top of the couches and over the coffee table a few times. “I didn't want you to get mad at me!” She tried reasoning.

Yah! Yah!” Victoria umma tried to stop all of our commotion. When we didn't comply, she quickly jumped in Amber's way with her arms spread out to her sides. “Stop!”

My dorky llama's feet fumbled with each other but she managed to duck under Victoria's arms and hide behind her for protection. “She's trying to kill me umma!” An accusing finger pointed right at me.

I let out a defeated huff as I stopped and stood there glaring at my lover. Our motherly-like leader between us. Seeing my expression made Amber hide behind Victoria even more, not wanting to meet my cold stare.

Our leader rolled her eyes and shook her head. “You two can kill each other in the video game later. Right now, it's dinner time. The both of you can continue this conversation after we eat.”

I opened my mouth ready to protest and lunge at Amber when my stomach growled. Curses. I let out another huff and folded my arms. “Fine. We'll talk about this right after dinner.”

Amber nodded and hurried to the table, quickly snagging Sulli's usual spot next to Luna. The both of them looked at our group rapper with a raised eyebrow. Lingering over to the dinner table I took my usual seat, glaring at my girlfriend that sat diagonally from me. For us, dinner pretty much went like this...

Crunch. Crunch. Munch. Munch. RUN!

The both of us dashed for Amber's room, leaving the 3 others bewildered at the dinner table. Thankfully I was able to stop Amber from slamming the door on my face where I then forced my way into the room. Just before the door closed I heard Victoria tell the other two, “Just let them be. We only have to intervene if we see Amber being dragged across the floor...again.” Click.

With the door now closed I was able to focus all of my attention on Amber. “You said you wouldn't just let me win remember?!” I advanced towards her, only making the latter retreat.

I know! I know! But I didn't want you mad at me if I won! It was a lose-lose situation for me!” Amber's voice rose as she extended her hands out to keep me away.

Silly amber, as if that will stop me. Again I advanced and her hands pushed against me on my shoulders. “That's sweet baby, really, but I'm madder at the fact that you think I'm not good enough to beat you!”

My girlfriend retreated again as I continued advancing until I had backed her up against a wall. “I'm sorry Krys! I'm sorry! It's just that today was our first game against each other!”

That isn't a good excuse you know!” I wrapped my hands around her wrists and slammed them against the wall next to her head.

Alright! Alright! I won't hold back anymore! I promise!”

Thinking that she was just bluffing I stared right into her eyes for a long moment. When her expression didn't change and she was staring directly into my eyes as well, I realized that she was telling the truth. “Good.” I smiled victoriously.

Amber let out a sigh of relief. Oh the taco breath. “On one condition though.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Which is?”

Amber slithered her hand free from my grasp and pointed to my heart, her hand in the shape of a gun. “I get to shoot you straight through the heart.”

I giggled and leaned over so our faces were only an inch apart. “Babo. You already did.”

N/A: Hey everyone! I FINALLY got this one-shot up! Phew! I would have had it up sooner but with all the technical difficulties I just couldn't get it up until now. Tell me what you think alright? ^^ Love you guys!
