He was doing it now, it’s now or never. How can he lie more? His conscience is killing him. Sungjong has been so loving, caring, loyal, and truthful, you name it; in simple words, he is the perfect wife a man could ever have, but what’s wrong with him? Why did he just have to look into another woman when his wife is already perfect? Has he gone mad? Maybe he was but is it his fault that his love for his perfect wife has………….faded away?
Myungsoo entered his cozy home and was engulfed but his angels
“Daddy, daddy, come faster, pali! Mommy has cooked you a magical dish” Myungmin, his 6 years old son pulled his shirt
“Just go dad; he’s really excited to see your reaction” Sungmin, his 9 year old daughter smiled warmly at him
“Arraso, arraso but please slow down, son” Myungsoo smiled at his angel
When they entered the kitchen, he was engulfed by the delicious aroma of whatever Sungjong was cooking
“Welcome home, L” Sungjong smiled.
“Huh? What did you call me?” Myungsoo looked shock and disbelief
“Nothing, it was nothing Myung” Sungjong smiled warmly
“But- but” he was going to protest and say that he has just heard his wife call him by his nickname. Since they were young, even when everybody was calling him L, only Sungjong has the right to call him by his real name, and he wasn’t going to change that, ever
“Daddy, daddy, eat now, eat now, pali” Myungmin jumped up and down
“Arraso, arraso” Myungsoo can’t help but smile when looking at his children, he can’t stop imagining what he has been through throughout Sungjong’s pregnancy, he was very strict of Sungjong’s whereabouts and diet, he can’t afford to lose an angel given by God, just like how God gave him his personal angel, his Sungjong
“So how’s my Kimchi Myung?” Sungjong’s smile seemed a bit forced but Myungsoo can’t see through it. Has Sungjong’s acting skills improved or Myungsoo just can’t read Sungjong anymore
“Come on Min, let’s leave mom and dad for a moment, arraso?” Sungmin, tugged his brother’s sleeve
“But I don’t want to, I want to see mommy feed daddy” he pouted cutely at his noona
“Daddy is tired from work and mommy has been so tired cleaning this house while fetching us from school” Sungmin reasoned out
“But- but they always do that, Minnie noona” Myungmin was in the average of crying for some reason
“People change Min, please understand” Myungsoo frowned at his daughter’s statement, has he been so obvious that even his children also noticed it? Was he that selfish of just thinking about his happiness? Maybe he is, just maybe.
“Hey, stop fighting now. See?” Myungsoo held a spoonful in front of Sungjong’s mouth and he complied
Myungmin eye’s shone in delight but Sungmin sent him a knowing glance and his smile turned into a bit force
“Go now kids, we’re going to have a long day tomorrow” Sungjong smiled at them and slowly went up the stairs to go to their respective rooms
“What was that all about?” Myungsoo frowned
“What was what all about?” Sungjong tilted his head
“Why was Myungmin like that? I mean, he’s not like that before” he continued eating
“Well~ he was watching a movie, in school, but I forgot the title and he said, it was all about a couple, then, he said they we’re fighting, then the girl just vanished without trace, then he cried” Sungjong tapped his chin
Myungsoo could only nod. Why does he have this feeling that someone important will go, but he just shrugged it off.
“I’m off to bed now” he stood up
“I’ll be there in a moment, I just need to wash this and make sure the kids are asleep” he smiled again. That smile, that smile that Myungsoo always see first thing in the morning, but why did it change? Is he seeing things again? Maybe he is, just maybe.
“I can tuck in the kids for you” he volunteered
“Okay Myung” Sungjong was already washing the dishes.
When Myungsoo was climbing up the stairs, he just noticed that since he came home, Sungjong didn’t call him any endearments, like Myungie hon, honey, yeobo, love, dear, cupcake, or any other pet names, it was just weird, Sungjong not calling him that and when did he even notice that Sungjong was calling him endearments all the time? He didn’t notice it till now, why?
When he was finished tucking them in, he went inside their room with a brown envelope and already saw Sungjong in their bed reading a book
When Sungjong noticed that Myungsoo came in, he tilted his head at the brown envelope
“I have to tell you something, it’s really important” Myungsoo said. Sungjong nodded once, telling him to continue some more
“I want to have divorce” he said slowly, almost hesitating. Myungsoo didn’t even made eye contact. Since he didn’t get some response, he looked up and saw Sungjong smiling
“Are you happy that I cheated on you?” he asked.
Sungjong shook his head.
“I’m happy when you are” he said
“Myungsoo handed him the brown envelope
“Here are the divorce papers; you can only have 30 % of everything that we own and the kids stay with me but you can visit them sometimes and you’ll be living in our house in Daegu, I will give that property to you” he said
“I don’t need any share Myung, and the arrangement for the kids are okay but I have a favor for you before I sign it…………” he said slowly, Myungsoo nodded, telling him to go on
“I want to ask you a favor” Myungsoo signed in relieved
“What is that?” he asked
“I want you to carry me in the house whenever you are home and also please give me flowers after you arrived from work” Myungsoo looked at him skeptically but singedsignedodded
