Lee Sumin is a mute. She was born not being able to speak which leads her to be misunderstand by everyone around her. She became socially awkward and doesn't know how to communicate around people because they never gave her a chance due to her handicap. Her parents try to help her in any way possible and try their best to support her, even though they have a hard time trying to understand their teenage daughter. Since Sumin is constantly being misunderstood and as a mute she feels she is living in a cage and leaves every aspect of social life to her imagination and her books. Sumin is a wondrous student and her teachers see great potential in her. Everyone that knows about Sumin's handicap are helping her fit in with the crowd, but will their attempts be in vain?
