Lethargic

prompt one hundred four (write like the wind) / one hundred eighty-seven words / G

Jessica's not the type to go out on a Saturday night. She's not the type to make out with her boyfriend on the couch. She's not the type to dance around . She likes sitting on the couch and sleeping. She likes to hold her boyfriend's hand as they surf the channels. Jung Jessica is the lethargic type.

"Do you wanna do anything?" he'll ask one day. The brunette would tilt her head sightly to the side and take a minute to figure out the answer. He'll run his fingers through her brown hair as she bites her lips and stare into his brown orbs. There's a moment when she'll say something, but she stops.

"It's okay, Donghae," she says. She lets go of her boyfriend's hand and lazily changes the channel to some American movie. Her fluttering eyelids halt their fluttering and close for good. She falls asleep in his arms as he sings her a lullaby. He doesn't mind it. He realizes that the girl is the lethargic type, slow and sluggish. Smiling to himself, he falls asleep as well. He's the lethargic type too.

Chapter 4: HI. OKAY. So I read your story for the writing contest and I thought it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and totally deserves being a runner up :) The way the timeline of the story just flowed together with the past and present, and how you described Minseok's and Luhan's characters so well is just sheer literary talent. I'm so glad you placed in the contest because I definitely voted for your story ^^ I look forward to checking out your other works, too, but I just thought I'd comment on this one now. Thank you for writing such a great story!
