Chapter 16

"Omo… Annyeonghasaeyo Ahjumeonim"

Kyu Jong's mother smiled as she saw Ji Eun stand and bow immediately upon
seeing her. She had taken a liking to this girl and had been wanting to meet up 
with her again ever since their brief meeting at the hospital. And she decided to 
drop by the office to check if she's doing fine after hearing her son lament that 
they haven't been able to meet up these days.

"Is everything alright? It has been hard on you"

"Aniyo I'm just doing whatever I can..."

The unexpected visit from Kyu Jong's mother put Ji Eun at ease somehow, 
even though she knew it didn't mean it was an approval from his dad. 
But at least his mother doesn't seem to mind her background that much.

"Ji Eun ah, do come over to our place for dinner when work's not so tight"

"Eh? De Ahjumeonim…"

"Please keep my schedule for this weekend free"

Kyu Jong gave his instructions to his assistant before heading off for the next 
meeting. It has been almost a year, since he left his business with Ji Eun and 
took over most of his dad's responsibilities in the company. Both Kyu Jong and 
Ji Eun's extremely packed schedules only allowed them to meet up for a day or 
two in a week, sometimes not at all.

"Received the flowers, komawo. See you this weekend "

Smiling as she put the phone away after texting Kyu Jong, Ji Eun looked at the 
flowers and the little note for a while before returning to her work. These little 
surprises from him never fail to brighten her day and give her a little morale 
boost whenever she felt worn out.

"Did you miss me?"

"Aniyo, I had too much work for company"

"Jinjja? Ah mianhae… you should have said so earlier then I wouldn't have 
arranged for dinner tonight"

"Kwenchana, I have to eat anyway"

Laughing at his girlfriend's teasing reply, Kyu Jong led Ji Eun into the restaurant 
which he had booked for their dinner. He had a surprise waiting for her and couldn't 
wait to see her reaction to it.

Ji Eun gasped slightly upon seeing Kyu Jong's parents as he opened the door and 
greeted them as soon as she entered the private room.

"You didn't tell me your parents were coming..."

Ji Eun whispered to Kyu Jong and hit his arm slightly as he took his seat beside her, 
and he responded with a chuckle. He had long hoped for this day to come and was 
sure Ji Eun would also be glad to finally receive his dad's approval.

Kyu Jong removed his coat and put it over Ji Eun as they sat down by the beach 
which they've not visited for months. Given their busy schedule, it has now become 
a luxury to be able to spend time together like that.

"You must be feeling a lot more relieved, your dad's finally well again"

"De, he can't wait to get back to work"

"He really should rest a while more…"

"Really? That would mean you'd have to continue working long hours"

"Doesn't matter, I'm already used to it"

"Mianhae…"

"Wae? Don't feel bad about it, it's also hard on you"

Ji Eun's words were interrupted by a pair of lips that suddenly gently pressed 
against hers, and she felt her face flush with embarrassment as Kyu Jong 
gazed at her.

"Yah why did you do that..."

Looking at the girl who had given him his utmost support without a single word 
of complain, Kyu Jong pulled her into a hug and whispered into her ears…

"How do I make up for it?"

"Mwoh?"

"Ji Eun ah, marry me…"

Kyu Jong reached for the ring in his pocket and held it in front her. 
He had been waiting for this day and was eager to put an end to it…

"But Oppa…"

"Abeoji has already given his blessings, unless you're not willing…"

"Aniyo! I…"

"I know... you can't wait to marry me"

Kyu Jong had the brightest smile on his face as he slipped the ring onto Ji Eun's 
finger and held her in his arms once again. 

For everything they had been through till this day, the both of them had one 
same person in mind as they gazed into the night sky, their hearts filled with 
their newfound bliss…

"This happiness that we've now found, komawo, Young Saeng oppa…"

"I'll take good care of her Young Saeng hyung, komawoyo…"
