At Yabu-kun’s house.

I helped her to the bedroom.

“Wait here. I’ll cook for you.” I said.

“Hai.” She replied.

I checked his temperature before leaving.

It got higher.

42 degrees Celsius.

I immediately went to the kitchen and started to cook.

Porridge is good. Easy to eat.

After cooking, I bought the porridge, a basin w/ hot water, a towel and her medicine (all on the tray) to the room.

“Here’s your food Koharu-chan.”

I helped her sit.

“Slowly, Koharu-chan.”

“Arigatou..” she said softly.

“Don’t talk. Just rest.” I said.

I fed her up. She had a hard time at first but she’s getting used to it.

She said she’s already full but I insisted. She needs to eat a lot.

After a while, Akira-chan arrived.

“WHAAAA!!! Koharu-chan!! I’m already here! I’ll take care of you!!” she shouted.

“Shhhhh..” I said.

“Gomen ne.” she whispered.

“Konnichiwa, Akira-chan.” Koharu-chan said.

“You feeling okay now?” she asked.

“Hai. A lot better. Thanks to Yabu-kun.” Koharu-chan answered.

“I think I should leave the two of you for a while.” I said.

I thought they need sometime together.

“Iie Yabu-kun.” Akira-chan said.

“You can stay” Koharu-chan added.

“Demo..” I said.

“It’s okay.” Koharu-chan said.

“Hai.”

“Koharu-chan you should get better soon. Sports Fest is coming. You wouldn’t want to miss that.” Akira-chan said.

“Hontou? I really should get well.” She said.

“You will. I’ll take care of you.” I interrupted.

They both looked at me.

“Naze? She’s my friend too! It’s normal for me to worry!” I shouted.

“That’s not right you should have said “I’m the reason why she’s like this right now that’s why I should take care of her” or something like that.” Akira said.

If only she knows how sorry am I right now.

I didn’t really mean to do that. If I should have known that I’ve been hurting her I should have stopped sooner.

“Gomenasai.” I said to Akira-chan.

“I don’t need words. Just pay for it. Even though Koharu-chan told you not to do so. She’s my friend and I am speaking for her even though she doesn’t want it because I know that it’s what his heart wants.” Akira-chan said.

“Got it?” she asked.

“Yes. Got it. And I’ll show all of you that I’m sincerely sorry.” I said.

“Good. Then I’m gonna leave now. Take care of her. I’ll leave her clothes here. I trust you Mr. Annoying.”

She went closer to me and whispered

“Koharu-chan gave you that nickname.”

I blushed.

I looked at KOharu-chan. She’s wondering what Akira-chan told me.

“Mata Aa.” Akira-chan said as she left the room.

“What was that?” Koharu-chan asked.

“Nandemonai.’ I said. Smiling sheepishly.

“Yabu-kun, I’m tired. Can I sleep?” she asked.

“Of course you can. I’ll just be right here by your side. Don’t worry.”

“Arigatou. And I want to teel you something..”

“What is it?”

She closed her eyes.

“Hmmmmm…..”

“What ?”

And I noticed that she’s already sleeping.

You should be flattered that I gave you a good nickname!

I checked Koharu-chan temperature every 30 minutes.

And it was slowly going down. By about 2:30 am, her temperature is already normal.

“Thank God.” I said to myself.

And then I slept at her bedside until it was 3:30 am.

I continued doing that until it’s 6:30 am.

But I accidentally woke her up.

I’m not planning to go to school today. I just want to take care of her.

“Yabu-kun.” She said.

“Ohayou ^_^” She said brightly.

“Finally..” I said.

“I’ve cooked your breakfast. You have to eat a lot.”

“Ima nanji?” she asked.

“6:35, naze?

“Eh?! We’re going to be late for school! How are we going to know the announcements for the sports fest?”

‘No need to go to school. You should just rest.” I said.

She still not that well.

“Minna-saaan!!!” Yamada-kun shouted.

“Hanazono-sensei told me that every class is required to perform an intermission number in the sports fest. Anyone who’s willing?” he added.

“Yaotome-kun!!!” Akira-chan shouted.

“I can’t! I have to go home early that day. I’ll help in the shop.”

“How about Neji-kun?” Yamada asked.

“You can do beat box.” He added.

“I have stage fright.” Neji-kun, the tall dark guy who’s always sleeping at English class said.

“Since when did you have that? Just tell us that you’re lazy…” Yamada-kun complained.

“Hey let’s just make Asuna solve math problems there!!” someone shouted.

*the whole room laughs*

Asuna is the math genius in the class. Almost equal with Yamada-kun. When she and Yamada-kun is talking to each other, it’s as if they’re saying some alien language.

“Yabu-kun knows how to play a guitar!” Koharu-chan shouted.

“Yah!” Yabu-kun shouted to Koharu-chan.

“That’s confidential” he said.

“Now it isn’t” Koharu-chan said.

“Aish.”

“Hontou?” Yaotome-kun said.

“I didn’t know you have that talent Yabu-kun.” someone said.

"Ah-- keke..I didn't know too.." Yabu said.

"Eh~~you've been hiding it from us and only Koharu-chan knows?Hmmm.. I smell something fishy in here" Another said.

"Give us a sample Yabu-kun!" Asuna shouted.

"Yeah! That's right!" another one added.

"Please Ichi-kun?" ~3~ Koharu-chan pouted.
