"Hi there! I am ___ and this is my best friend, Donghae.Say hi."I chuckled zooming in the camera in his sleepy face.

I am always visiting him every morning just wake him up.Haha!

"Yah! Stop recording it." He said covering his face using the pillow.

"Mister sleepy head told me to stop.Haha! I won't."I chuckled.

"Argh! I'm going to wake up as soon you stop that."

"Hah! All right."I rolled my eyes and stopped recording at once.

We both went downstairs and saw his mother preparing the breakfast.

"Breakfast?" His mother offered.

"No thanks! I already ate breakfast back in my house a while ago."I said.

"Good Morning, mother!" Donghae greeted his mom still sleepy.

"I'll go outside first."I excused and went outside.

Outside their house, I coughed an coughed.It happened to me many times these few days.

After a few cough while covering my hand with my mouth, I felt something sticky in my hand.I take a look at it.

BLOOD!

"You all right?" Donghae asked approaching me.

"Yeah!"I said not looking at him.

"I know you weren't"

I smiled at him to show him I am all right.Just to know that he is worried about me is enough.

I like him since we were young and until now we are old enough to marry but...I think he likes someone else.It was just what I'm thinking but what if it's true? What if he really likes Jessica?

Anyway, Jessica is the famous girl in our school when we are just students and she's also smart.

"You really sure you're all right?" he asked with her face full of worry.

"Sure"I said hiding my hands at my back.

"Then, thank you for waking me up." he said smiling at me.

"Welcome, anytime.Anyway, I need to go now."I said.

"Why?"

"It's just something."I said.

Once I got home, my mother told me to go to a hospital.I immediately obeyed not sure if it's good or not.My mother knew that I can't even have a good sleep with this blood in my cough.And I got night sweats and I always lost my apetite.

At the hospital...

At last! The examination ended but...

"Ms.___, I'm afraid to say so that you have...Cancer...A lung Cancer..."

The time seems to stop for a while.My eyes widened.Donghae will be worried.

"Is that mean I will die soon?" I asked and my eyes turned watery.

"No, no" The doctor assured me, "You just need to undergo into a surgery."

"But what if it wasn't successful? Will I die?"

"Uhmm..."

"No! I have many unfinished business..."

Like I didn't even tell Donghae how I go crazy just to think of a birthday gift for him when we are classmates.He didn't know that I like him, no, I love him.

Tears started falling and I walked out of the room.

The next day...

I woke up really late.Last night wasn't a good night at all.I didn't get much sleep.

"So, who's the sleepy head now?" I heard a manly voice chuckling and when I opened my eyes, it's Donghae.He was holding the camera I am using yesterday.

"Yah!" I sat up and pouted.He stopped recording and sat beside me.

"What's wrong?" He asked worrying about me.

I forced myself to laugh.

"Nothing at all.Hey! Aren't you suppposed to go at your work?" I asked.

"I thought that the two of us needs to bond sometimes so...Is it all right to spend a day with you?" He asked.

"Sure" I said.

After choosing clothes, I decided to confess.I told my self, "It's now or never."

The two of us decided to meet in the park.

"Hello!"I greeted.

"Hello!"He greeted and I approached him.

"Ice cream for you."He gave me an ice cream, vanilla-flavored, in a cone.

We sat down and enjoyed the cool breeze for a while.After eating, I cleared my throat.This is it.

"Donghae, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"I...I..." MY heart is racing but then, his phone rang.

"Excuse me, it's Jessica."Donghae excused and I smiled.

I sighed.Maybe, telling him is not a good idea.After talking through the phone, he faced me.

"So, what are you going to say?" He asked.

"Nothing important.Nevermind."I said.

After the short day with him, I went home but once I got home, I felt the shortness of my breath.

"Mother, help! I can't breath."I shouted and mother immediately walked towards me,

I can't breath.I fainted.

I woke up and I was already in the hospital.

"Where am I?" I asked my mother who is sitting beside my bed.

"In the hospital...You know that your surgery can't wait any longer..."

"But Mother, you know that if it isn't successful..."

"No, it will be successful." Tears fell from my mother's eyes and her tone of voice changed.

"Sure...But let me talk to Donghae...At least...If it's the last time."I said.

After waiting for like a few hours, Donghae arrived and my mother left the room.

'It's now or never, tell him.' I told my self and took a deep breath.

"Are you all right?" Donghae asked worried.

"Yes..I've got something to tell you."

"What?"

"I...I...I love you." My voice little by little faded away.

"I love you too."Donghae said looking at me with his sincire eyes.

"I thought you like Jessica."I mumbled.

"No, I like you.She's just...a friend."

Tears started falling from my eyes.

"Donghae, this will be our last conver-"

"No, you will live.The doctors here are all nice.Trust me."

I smiled but no, I have a feeling it won't be successful.

"Promise me that you won't forgot about me, huh?"

He just smiled and my mother entered the room.The next day, I undergoed surgery.

The surgery wasn't successful.

Donghae was left alone.

No more girl who will wake him up in the morning recording him.

No more friend who always visit her house.

No more day to spend with her.

REGRET! Why didn't I tell her at the very first?

Donghae kept asking himself.

He was coward to think that it will ruin their friendship.
