Description

A story of one ambitious and independent girl who thought a foreign, old fashion, desperate guy was anything but a business transaction.

Foreword

Lee had just completed her Bachelors degree and ready to move in with her college friend to begin their independence as career women.  However, things did not turn out quite exactly as she had planned.  Up to her neck with student loans, bills, and real life living, she turns to a flier advertising men willing to pay money in exchange for marriage.  What she thought was a desperate attempt to save her credit and independence, turns into a desperate plea for acceptance, love, and happiness.

Jai was living everyday to survive.  Growing up in a third world country, education was an honor, not an obligation.  Through his aunt and uncle living in the United States, he was able to attend college until his grandmother takes ill.  He returns to the village  and puts his education on hold to care for her.  Life speeds up in his life when tragically his grandmother passes and his uncle suggest he come to the United States to further his education.  He reluctantly agrees to post himself as groom in exchange for money.   It was nothing more than a contract to him, but without knowing it, the contract became a lifelong commitment of longing, hope, and acceptance into a world where he did not belong.
