Kyungsoo kept his glance to the girl in front of him, smiling widely, her eyes sparkles with happiness, kyungsoo smiled at her when she realize his glance. Hanin walk approaching him, the elegant white dress fit perfectly to her, kyungsoo could still feel his heart beating rapidly every time this girl approach him, that tingling feeling  he still have it, and yet here he is watching her slipped away for the last time.

-flashback-

Wouldn’t we face our eyes anymore?

Wouldn’t we communicate? Wouldn’t we love?

Tearing up to the reality that hurts

“I’m DO Kyungsoo, nice to meet you Hanin” kyungsoo flashed a smile, at first look he knew he’s attracted to the girl, a shoulder length black hair girl, well he always loves a girl with short hair and something tell him this girl is quite interesting.

“It’s nice to know all of you sunbae” she bowed again to the rest of the people in waiting room, ‘cute’ Kyungsoo’s thought, he keeps his glance at the girl that’s now blushing when Jongdae introduce himself to her, he raised his eyebrows ‘did she just blush ?’

“How come I’ve never seen you in school before ?” kyungsoo asked, trying to make a conversation with the girl, hanin glance at him and tilted her head, but before she could answer Luhan butted in and drag kyungsoo out of the room. Kyungsoo only smiled apologetically to her and waved his hand as he went to the other room to practice ‘way to go luhan’

Kyungsoo let out a long sigh, he stared at his phone closing his eyes repeating to the news he just heard

‘Guess what, my parents decide to make an arrange married for me’ kyungsoo frowned as he heard the girl voice, he was not expecting such a news at this time, it was really shocking to him but he guess Hanin was more shock then him

‘so, that means ?’ Kyungsoo ask still processing the words that came out from his caller

‘Kyungsoo oppa yah~ I’m engage’ hanin said in a low tone but loud enough for kyungsoo to hear her

‘well atleast I know who’s the person is hehe’ hanin said trying to break the awkward silent

 ‘who ?’ Kyungsoo furrowed his eyebrows, he definitely not hoping it was one of her scumbag friends

‘Chen sunbae’ kyungsoo was silent, this definitely not what he had in mind, of all people why Jongdae, why it has to be his own bestfriend

‘you’re not joking right ?’ kyungsoo said with a bitter smile, trying to steady his tone tho he felt as if the world just crumble in front of him

‘no oppa, aish we have to meet to talk about this. I have to go now’ Hanin said as she ended the call, all kyungsoo do was stared silently at the empty space, wishing that this was some kind of joke or just a bad dream he’ll forget.

Turning their backs while working while living

Kyungsoo silently staring at Jongdae who’s hugging hanin and her hair, he was envy he admits it, he just called hanin saying that they were in the hospital he didn’t expect hanin to be this panic, worrying about Jongdae while they’re here only because Suho. His heart ache when he sees hanin cries but he was hurt more knowing the fact that she was crying because of Jongdae, Jongdae wipe hanin tears, comforting her. Kyungsoo broke out from his daze when Jongdae called out to him saying that he will be heading off with hanin, kyungsoo only smiled at the couple and sighed heavily watching both of them leaving together.

Laugh, cry all together, holding hands meeting that feeling

Kyungsoo glancing at the clock that hung on the wall ‘I wonder where’s hanin is ? She’s usually here at this time’

He immediately turns his attention towards the door when he heard the door opens

“welcome ~ ooh jongdae ah ~ hanin ah” he smiled to the couple handing them the menu

“Oooh, it’s rare for you guys to come here together… Any special occasion?” he asked, chen grinned as a reply

“We’re officially engage!” Kyungsoo frowned

“Eeeeh~ I know that already hehe” Kyungsoo let out a little laugh trying to hide the bitterness in his voice

“No… it’s officially as in ‘official’,” she grinned too. Kyungsoo was silent for a moment but quickly flash them a smile

“Congratulations you two! I’m so happy for both of you…” he said

“Thank you Oppa~” Hanin smiled, his heart sulk more when he could see the happiness in her eyes

 “So for the new couple, I have a special menu today! Just yesterday I received this high quality lobster and you guys are the first one who’ll try my new creation!” Kyungsoo said trying to distract himself from his own thoughts

“Uwaaaaaa, sounds good!” hanin squealed making kyungsoo laugh at how excited she is when it comes to food, he turns around to prepare the food, his laugh died down and his smile turns into a frown, he glance back at the couple who is now laughing happily

“yeah… I’m so happy for you guys” kyungsoo mumbled with an obvious sad tone in his voice

“I’m always wondering why until now you still didn’t have a girlfriend~” hanin said giggling, kyungsoo raised his brows and silently looking at her for a moment before answering her question

“and why is that ??” he asked her, he shifted his gaze from her trying not to look nervous, hanin smiled to him and said

“Well… You’re a good looking, gentle man and also can cook! You’re like every girls dream boyfriend,” she explains in enthusiasm

“Remember Sunae from our high school? She used to likes you! And Joomi too!” Kyungsoo silently sigh and walk closer to her, without even thinking he suddenly said

 “Do you want to know why I haven’t got any girlfriend until now?” Hanin straighthen her position and nodded at him, enthusiast for the reason, she swings her legs back and forth making kyungsoo’s heart fluttered looking how cute she is right now. With a serious gaze kyungsoo said in a low tune but loud enough for hanin to her him

“It’s because the girl I like is engaged to my bestfriend…”

 “Ohh so who’s that… EH?!” Hanin eyes widened in surprise, kyungsoo move more closer to her, putting both of his hand in between her, closing the gap between them. Without hesitating his face moves closer to her and now the distance between them is getting smaller, hanin was surprised by his sudden moves she blushed and closed her eyes, afraid. Suddenly she heard him burst in laughter

“Yaaaaah !!” she hissed and hit his arm, kyungsoo continue to laugh louder, his face was red from laughing too much

“I’m sorry I’m sorry !! I was just kidding ~” he whined to hanin that continue hitting him and wiped his tears from his eyes.

There’s a wilderness of a self-desolated one

Loneliness increases as days go by

As human beings we can only be hurt

Kyungsoo shifted his gaze when he heard lay calling her name, he looks to the front door, hanin was waving and smiling at him, he only waved back to her and continue serving the customer. During the night kyungsoo will always glance at Hanin, today is Jongdae’s birthday but here she is sitting alone in his bar playing with her food or phone trying to look busy, tho Kyungsoo already realized that gloomy face the moment she entered the bar. It made kyungsoo hard to concentrate when he’s thinking about hanin. For the past few weeks Jongdae is always busy he understands why hanin would be sad, but today especially it’s his birthday, he just can’t think why would Jongdae still choose work over hanin, kyungsoo sigh knowing Jongdae’s habit.

The clocks showed that it’s almost past midnight, Kyungsoo decided to close the bar earlier than usual, he glanced at hanin who’s still sitting at her table. Trough the night kyungsoo couldn’t concentrate at all he keeps thinking how he felt guilty for hanin because of his work he couldn’t cheer her, he almost drop a glass while handing it to a customer. He smile when he looked at hanin approaching him

“full ?” he asked her while wiping his hand dry and putting the rage back, she nodded happily at him
“it was delicious” she said

Kyungsoo grab his keys and went out from the kitchen

“come on wear your coat, I’ll drive you home” he wears his jacket and walk to the door, but he suddenly stop when he realize that hanin didn’t move an inch. He walked back to her

“What are you doing ? Let’s go” hanin only stayed silent and look at the floor, kyungsoo sigh, he moved closer to her raising her face gently, Hanin shifted her gaze didn’t want kyungsoo to look at her now teary eyes

“what’s wrong ?” kyungsoo asked with a worried tone

“I just don’t want to see an empty apartment when I got home… It’s feels so lonely” hanin said in a low voice, she hung her head low, she was in the urge to cry but she still trying to hold back the tears she didn’t want kyungsoo to see her cry. Kyungsoo stared silently at her, he understand how she feel, he understand what it’s like to be alone, how silent felt like it could kill you, how aches it is to know that the one you love is not here with you, he knows cause that what he felt every time his own his own. Without having a second thought Kyungsoo pulled her in a tight hug, he could feel that hanin was surprised by his sudden action, he wanted to let go but he stop when he felt hanin hug her back and cry in his shoulder. Kyungsoo smiled and her hair gently, how he long for this moment, he just wish you weren’t crying because of Jongdae

“I love you” kyungsoo whisper in her ear, the word slipped out from his mouth like it was nothing, as if he doesn’t care about anything but cheering hanin and letting her know about his feeling. Hanin let go of his hug, kyungsoo suddenly regret but since he already said it there’s no turning back.

“I really love you hanin-ah. It breaks my heart to see the girl I treasure the most being hurt like this,” kyungsoo said while wiping her tears away, he pulled her into another hug, this time he won’t let go

“I really love you”

“see I told you the movie was great” kyungsoo said as he and hanin walk hand in hand trough the street, the weather is really cold today, Kyungsoo tighten his grip on her hand, he was happily talking to her about the movie they just saw when suddenly he felt that hanin didn’t move. He followed her gaze and saw Jongdae was looking at both of them from afar, when Jongdae turn around he felt the grip he had on hanin loosen, hanin let go of his hand and immediately ran to Jongdae. Kyungsoo was still in daze about what just happen, he was surprise to see Jongdae, his dazed broke when he saw a car speeding towards hanin. Kyungsoo ran trying to catch hanin but it was too late

“HANIN AH !!”

Kyungsoo froze when he saw her body lying helplessly on the ground, he saw Jongdae turn around and run to her also, Kyungsoo knelled beside her body, trying to call 911, the crows was surrounding both of them, in panic he could only saw Jongdae’s face who’s desperately calling for hanin’s name. ‘what have I done’ he thought

Kyungsoo only stared silently at the white wall, while Jongdae couldn’t stop pacing around waiting for any news about hanin, both of them already in the emergency room waiting for any news regarding about hanin’s condition. After pacing for a while Jongdae sigh and took a seat beside kyungsoo

“don’t blame her, it’s not her fault” kyungsoo said in a low tone, Jongdae could tell there was a glitch of guilty and worried in his voice, but he couldn’t care less, the only thing that in his mind right now is only you.

“I know” jongdae said, before both of the could continue their conversation, the doctor that took care of hanin came out and asking for them to enter her room.

Kyungsoo followed Jongdae from behind, his heart fell when he look at hanin’s unconscious body, hanin look really pale, but it make his heart more ache when he saw Jongdae’s face, he could see that Jongdae was really desperate, maybe the pain he felt now couldn’t compare what Jongdae feel. He silently saw Jongdae approaching hanin, Jongdae flash a bitter smile at her, her hands

“I’m so sorry…. It’s… it’s all my fault… I’m so sorry for what I did to the both of you” kyungsoo said, he was now in tears, jongdae was shocked seeing kyungsoo cried but he manage to maintain his straight face

“Let’s go outside” Kyungsoo was startled, he followed jongdae walking out of the emergency room. As soon as they were out Jongdae punch kyungsoo straight in the face. Kyungsoo didn’t held back his punch making him fell back, he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Jongdae didn’t even dare to look at kyungsoo, Jongdae straighten up and went back to hanin’s room leaving kyungsoo alone.

“Kyungsoo oppa ~” hanin smiled brightly at him, he return her smile with the same bright smile.

“You look beautiful as always” kyungsoo said making hanin giggled

“and your still single as always” hanin joke at him making kyungsoo laugh

“ahhh so much things have happen, and yet here I stand alone” kyungsoo said in a sad voice, hanin stared at him with worried, kyungsoo chuckled seeing her expression

“I’m happy for you both” kyungsoo said again, this time he was smiling to her making hanin smile back at him

“thank you oppa, for everything” hanin said in a sincere voice, kyungsoo heart felt at ease, he was happy seeing how happy you are today, ‘atleast I once makes you happy, atleast you’re happy now even without me’ kyungsoo’s thought

“you should go back to your husband, soon-to-be-ms-kim” hanin blush at his remarks, she turns around and jongdae who was looking at both of them smile to kyungsoo, kyungsoo waved at him and he waved back. Hanin walk back to Jongdae with a smile on her face. ‘You look gorgeous in that wedding dress’ Kyungsoo chuckled to himself, remembering he had fantasize that it was him next you on the wedding aisle

“Not fair hanin ah~, you didn’t even give me the chance to make you fall in love with me”
