Dreaming
Daejae: The Greatest Ship Ever to Have Sailed the Sea of OTP
“Youngjae, wake up. You can’t sleep on the couch. Yah! Babo!” Daehyun shook his head as he thought that if Youngjae wouldn’t even wake up when the fire alarm went off in the dorm during their training days, there was no way he was going to be able to get him up and into the bedroom.
“Well, don’t come crying to me when you wake up with a sore neck. It’s your own fault for falling asleep while sitting on the couch.” Daehyun realized that he was talking to himself and shut up, opting instead to shove Youngjae over a little and planting himself onto the small sofa next to the sleeping boy.
“Maybe someday the company will be able to afford a bigger dorm for us, one with a bigger couch. Or at least a love seat.” Youngjae chuckled slightly and Daehyun glanced over to him. Youngjae was smiling in his sleep.
“Yah, Youngjae-ah. What are you dreaming about? Ice cream? Jay Park?” Daehyun smiled as he . “I’ll have to remember to ask you when you wake up.”
“Deh…”
“Oh, talking now?”
“Daehh…”
Daehyun leaned in closer to Youngjae, straining to hear what he was saying.
“Daehyunnn…”
The older boy’s eyes widened as he realized that his friend was dreaming about him. Daehyun leaned over more, lining his face up with Youngjae’s, taking in his full cheeks and soft lips.
“Dreaming about me?” Daehyun slowly brought his hand up, and poked the fluffy cheeks gently. “Babo.”
Smiling quietly to himself, Daehyun lifted himself off the couch and retrieved two blankets off from his bunk.
“It’s chilly in here, I’ll give you the thicker blanket. Be grateful. It’s my favorite one. Don’t drool on it!”
He tucked the warm blanket around Youngjae’s sleeping figure and then settled himself down next to him. As he wrapped the other blanket around himself, he looked over to Youngjae’s sleep face. A smile still donned his lips.
“Goodnight. Youngjae babo.”
