Chapter 1: Dreams
Moonless
"I saw you walking and decided to rush." he says fixing his tie.
"Aish, your uniform is so sloppy." I scolded softly as I fix his buttons. He grins and shrugs.
"I was catching up to you. It's like that sometimes." The hair on my neck stood up suddenly and I tilt my head back to see if anyone was there.
"Ah, it's nothing. Let's get to school." I smile. The feeling I had in my dream was back and it made it seem so real. It scared me.
He stared at you with vacant black eyes. You can taste it on the tip of your tongue, his hunger, but could do nothing about it. You shiver as a grin slowly spreads across his emotionless features.
"P-please." You whisper,"Please leave me alone."
"I'm hungry." He says slowly looking at you before lu-
"Mihyun!"
I jerked up nd looked at my teacher.
"Since you like sleeping in class you can catch up on the lesson in detention."
Ms. Kim said standing over me, looking every bit as intimidating as she sounded.
"Mianhe." I whispered sticking my tongue out at my friends,"Yah! Don't laugh!"
"What have you been doing watching drama's?" Hye Ryung furiously whispered smacking me awake as my eyes began to droop.
"Just some nightmares." I said shrugging,"No big deal."
She shook her head,"I'll be with Minho for study hall, see you at lunch?"
"Ne ne."
"I have to go to a meeting, I can trust you'll be good while I'm gone?" He asked. I nodded, yet again, and closed my eyes,"Of course you can."
Almost instantly I fell asleep.
You slowly look around before bringing the jacket closer to your body. Normally
you wouldn't be out this late but your shift ended a little later than normal
and it would be stupid of you to waste your bus fair when your house was only 10
blocks away from the café.
Your heart thumps rapidly as you look around. You could've sworn you heard some
footsteps behind you but you shake your head. Its just your imagination Mihyun,
you tell yourself before jumping up in shock as a guy blocks your path.
"So that's where the scent was coming from." He murmurs to himself smirking
slightly. I take a step back.
"Um." You blink and bite your lip. Something about this boy didn't sit well with
you. He didn't seem....normal.
He chuckles and moves in front of you,"You smell quite delicious Mihyun."
"I...I don't know who you are." You whisper frightened. He chuckles almost in a
taunting manner,"It wouldn't matter if you did."
You take a step back and shake your had as he grins-
"Mihyun! Noona!" Jongup yells as I jerk up clutching my head. He grabs my hand
and taps the top of my knuckles,"Let's go. Don't you have to go to work?"
I nodded and yawned,"Y-yeah."
Even when I fell asleep it seemed I wasn't actually asleep. As we walked out of the school I turned around. I shook my head before blinking. I've seen those eyes before.
