"Hey!"

Tiffany turned around to see her friend running her way. He stopped right in front of her under the delicate pink blossoms of the cherry tree.

"Sorry, I'm late. Professor Park doesn't want to let me off early" He said between his breath, tired after running but still wearing his smile.

Tiffany chuckled "Take a breath, Taeyeon. You're not that late"

"So, what's the big news?" Taeyeon asked, his eyes shining with excitement.

Tiffany took a deep breath and looked Taeyeon in the eye. "I got a job in New York," she said. "I'm leaving in a few weeks."

Spring was in full bloom, and the air was filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers. However, the joyous atmosphere was shattered by the news Tiffany had to share with Taeyeon.

"New York?" he said, trying to keep the disappointment out of his voice. "That's so far away."

"I know," Tiffany said, her voice softening. "But it's an amazing opportunity, and I couldn't pass it up."

Taeyeon didn't know what to say. He had always known that this day would come, but he had never wanted to believe it. Tiffany had been his closest friend in college, and they had shared so many memories together. But now, it seemed like their time together was coming to an end.

His train of thought was interrupted when Tiffany suddenly hugged him, leaving him to freeze in his place.

"I'm going to miss you so much," she said, her voice almost whispering.

"M-me too..." he said slowly

"But this isn't goodbye, Taeyeon. I promise we'll keep in touch. I'll call you, and we'll visit each other whenever we can," Tiffany said after breaking the hug.

"I'll hold you to that promise, Tiffany. Don't forget about me when you become a big shot in New York," he teased, trying to lighten the mood.

Tiffany smiled at him, her eyes still shining with tears. "Thank you, Taeyeon," she said. "I'm going to miss you more than you know."

...

Three years had passed since that bittersweet day under the cherry blossom tree. Taeyeon had graduated from college and had moved to a new city to start his career. He had lost touch with Tiffany, despite their promises to stay in touch. Life had gotten in the way, and they had drifted apart. Taeyeon never forgot about Tiffany. He thought about her often, wondering how she was doing and where she was living.

But on this particular day, Taeyeon had just moved back to Seoul. He had just moved into a new apartment near a cozy café that he loved to visit back then. He had spent most of his days getting settled into his new place and was feeling a bit lonely. So, he decided to take a stroll to his favorite café and treat himself to a latte.

As he walked down the street, Taeyeon saw a familiar face sitting at one of the tables outside the café. It was Tiffany, his friend from college, whom he hadn't seen in over three years. The person that he never forgets about.

Taeyeon's heart skipped a beat. He always had a secret crush on her during their college years, but he never dared to confess his feelings. Seeing her again after all this time made him feel both excited and nervous at the same time.

Tiffany noticed Taeyeon standing by the sidewalk and waved him over. "Hey, you!" she called out, smiling warmly.

Taeyeon felt his cheeks red as he approached the table. "Hi, Tiffany," he greeted, trying to sound nonchalant.

"It's been forever! How are you doing?" Tiffany exclaimed, standing up to give him a hug.

Taeyeon hugged her back, feeling a rush of emotions. "I'm doing okay, just moved into a new place nearby," he replied, gesturing toward his apartment building.

"That's great! You know what, I live around here too," Tiffany said, taking a sip of her coffee. "I have so much to tell you. I've been living in New York, and it's been amazing. But I decided to move back to Seoul a few months ago. I missed my family, and I wanted to be closer to them."

"We should hang out sometime, and catch up on old times," Taeyeon said

Tiffany nodded, smiling brightly "I'd like that."

For the next few minutes, Taeyeon and Tiffany chatted and laughed over their lattes. Taeyeon couldn't help but notice how beautiful Tiffany still looked, with her bright eyes and sparkling smile.

Tiffany looked at her watch. "Oh no, I have to run. I'm meeting a friend for lunch in a few minutes. But we should definitely hang out again soon, okay?"

Taeyeon nodded, feeling a little disappointed that their meeting was so short-lived. "Sure, let's do that."

As Tiffany got up to leave, Taeyeon watched her walk away, sadness feeling overwhelming him. He had always wished for something more with Tiffany, but he knew that it was impossible.

Taeyeon sighed, gathering his things and heading back to his apartment. He tried to shake off the feelings of loneliness that had been nagging at him for the past few days, but they wouldn't go away. As he lied onto his couch, he realized that he missed Tiffany already.

The next few days went by in a blur for Taeyeon. He focused on his work and unpacking his things, trying to keep himself busy. But every time he walked by the café, he couldn't help but think of Tiffany.

One day, as he was passing by the café, he heard his name being called out. "Taeyeon! Hey, Taeyeon!"

He turned around to see Tiffany waving at him from the café's entrance. "Hey, what are you doing here?" he asked, surprised.

"I was just getting coffee. Do you want to join me?" Tiffany asked, smiling.

Taeyeon's heart fluttered. "Sure, that sounds great."

As they sat down at a table, Taeyeon couldn't help but feel a little nervous. He didn't know what to expect from this meeting. Would Tiffany still be the same person he had known in college? Or had things changed?

Tiffany sensed his hesitation and leaned forward. "Hey, are you okay?"

Taeyeon nodded, feeling a little embarrassed. "Yeah, sorry. I'm just a little nervous, I guess."

Tiffany smiled. "Don't be. We're just two old friends catching up."

"I can't believe it's been three years," Taeyeon said

"I know," Tiffany said, nodding. "It feels like it was just yesterday that we were sitting under that cherry blossom tree."

Taeyeon felt a pang of sadness as he thought about that day. He had missed Tiffany so much, and he had always regretted the way they had lost touch. "I'm so sorry, Tiffany," he said, his voice sounding guilty. "I should have kept in touch with you."

Tiffany shook her head "It's not your fault. We both got caught up in our own lives. But I'm just so glad we're together again."

Taeyeon smiled at his friend. "I'm so happy you're back"

For the next hour, they talked and laughed like they had never lost touch. They talked about their lives after college, their jobs, and their interests. Taeyeon felt his heart swell with happiness as he realized that they still had so much in common. "This is nice," he said, smiling.

"Yeah, it is," Tiffany agreed, sipping her coffee. "I've missed hanging out with you."

"I've missed you too," Taeyeon admitted. "Do you remember that time we stayed up all night watching movies in your room?"

Tiffany laughed. "Of course I do! We were such nerds back then."

Taeyeon chuckled, feeling more comfortable. "Yeah, but it was fun. I wish we could do that again."

"Why don't we?" Tiffany suggested. "I mean, not tonight, but maybe sometime soon? We could have a movie night, just like old times."

Taeyeon's heart leaped at the idea. "That sounds amazing. I'd love that."

"Great! I'll text you and we can figure out a date," Tiffany said, grinning.

As they finished their coffee, Taeyeon realized that he didn't wan
