Karina is by all means a beautiful and confident girl. An independent woman who needs no man.

Of course, ayaw naman talaga niya sa hatdog. 

Minsan lang niyang sinubukan pero like all other hatdogs, cancerous talaga sa love life ang mga yan.

Sakit sa ulo, sakit sa puso.

At the tender age of 22, she discovered her uality in the form of a beautiful lady: Mary Jane. 

Pero hindi na rin siya nagulat na magkagusto siya sa isang babae. Bata pa lamang siya, she has always been curious bakit yung mga idol niya noon ay puro babae. 

Her dad even caught her looking at a picture of Vanessa Hudgens sa family computer nila.

Karina was obsessed with High School Musical when she was eight. Sue her for being more attracted to Gabriella Montez instead of Troy Bolton.

"Tomboy ka ba anak? Bakit babae palagi tinitingnan mo sa computer?" 

Ang tanging dahilan niya noon ay Vanessa is half Filipino and she was merely idolizing her for being one. 

O diba. 

Ang galing niya gumawa ng excuse. 

Pero from then on, she became careful sa mga searches niya. Especially when she discovered the beautiful girls of kpop.

Hindi niya talaga alam kung bakit mas tinitilian niya si Fany, Fany Tiffany ng SNSD instead of the likes of beastdols like 2pm. 

Feel niya rin natatakot siya sa mga muscles ng mga hatdog.

Masyado kasing malalaki.

Sa isip niya, mas gusto niyang masipa sa mga long legged women kesa naman ma choke sa mga arms ng mga lalaki.

Ang halay. 

Pero that was it.

Karina has been repressing those said feelings.

Hindi niya alam na bading na pala siya noon pa.

Not until Mary Jane. 

College of Education, third year, second floor lecture hall. 

Sa higit isang daang students sa subject ng Astronomy, napansin niya si Mary Jane. 

Mary Jane who comes in 10 minutes before class without fail at palagi pa niyang kasama si Ateng maliit na may bangs at amoy baby cologne.

Si Mary Jane na palaging umuupo sa harap niya at si Ateng maliit who would always sit beside her, hinahawi yung buhok before niya kunin ang mga gamit niya sa bag at ilalatag sa table.

The sequence would go like this: laptop, notebook, book, pen, sticky notes. All arranged neatly sa harap niya. 

Actually, nalaman din ni Karina na mas preferred ni Mary Jane na tawagin siyang MJ. 

Grabe lang ang pagkacrush ni Karina kay MJ, halos buong klase ay nakatingin lang ito sa mahaba niyang buhok. Minsan napapansin niya sa kanyang peripheral si Ateng maliit na mahilig magpatawa.

Oo, ang funny ni Ateng maliit.

It's not like Karina is being nosy, she just overhears them. 

Plus ang ganda pakinggan ng tawa ni MJ. Sobrang mahinhin pa rin kahit si Ateng maliit ay kung pwede lang, gumulong na sa sahig dahil sa kakatawa.

Pansin niya lang that she always laughs the hardest at her own jokes. 

Karina was okay with admiring MJ lang. Her newfound discovery sa uality niya is something she shouldn't rush daw. She'll just let it flow because she doesn't know what to do with these feelings just yet.

That's what happens talaga pag tinatago ang kabadingan for a long time.

Ang funny nga ng pag come out niya sa mga friends niya. She wouldn't even call it coming out. 

"I like girls," sabi niya while she was hanging out with Giselle sa kwarto niya. 

"Me too." 

"No, G, I like like girls," she confessed again. 

Giselle finally looked up from her phone. "Okay and?" 

"I think I'm biual." 

"Ha? I thought you were already one to begin with?"

To say she was shocked was an understatement. She was confused. "Ano?" 

"Uhm, Karina, don't take this the wrong way and by no means am I being judgmental, pero you talk about girls a lot at isa kang malaking malandi sa mga babae. Hindi mo ba alam yun?" 

Again, shocking. "What?" 

"Girl, pati ako nilalandi mo kaya." 

Nanlaki naman ang mga mata niya, "hala G, sorry! Hindi ko naman sinasadya yun." 

"Sadyang malandi ka lang talaga?" 

"Okay, I admit touchy ako pero hello, I'm just being friendly!" 

"Ay Karina, kung alam mo lang." 

And that was it. Her other friends have the same reaction as Giselle. 

According to them Karina is one big flirt. Hindi na niya alam na maraming babae ang nafafall dahil sa mga sinasabi niya at mga kilos niya.

It also doesn't help that Karina is a walking tease. 

Hindi naman sa pinagyayabang ni Karina no but she knows she's beautiful and she's got something to flaunt so she flaunts it. 

Bakit niya itatago ang blessings na binigay ng Diyos?

Flaunt what your mama gave you, ika nga nila. 

However, when Karina told Giselle about her crush, Giselle could only smack her in the head. 

"Bakit ka nananakit?" 

"Isa kang useless na bading. Ang hilig mong lumandi sa mga kaibigan mo pero sa crush mo, hindi? Ask her out now." 

Karina could only roll her eyes at her friend. "Easier said than done."

"It is easy." 

"G, I literally just discovered I like girls tapos gusto mo ako ang maunang mag ask out? What if she doesn't sway that way?" 

Another batok, another mura from Karina. "So maghihintay ka lang ba na ikaw kakausapin when this Mary Jane girl doesn't even know you exist?" 

"Okay na ako admiring from afar." 

"Sayang yung pagiging maganda mo if you're torpe. Are you afraid na ma reject ka?" 

"Hindi naman."

"Then what are you waiting for? Treat this as a learning experience."

"Anong learning experience?" 

"Dating a girl, duh!"

That made Karina think. 

Giselle had a point.

Ano ba ang mawawala sa kanya if she just asks MJ out? Wala naman diba? 

She has been crushing on the girl for months. Mag sesecond sem na nga lang at hindi pa rin siya nililingon ni MJ.

Tamang-tama at Valentine's day is coming up. She'll take the chance to ask the girl for a friendly coffee date first.

And if it all works out, maybe she'll have a date on Valentine's day.
