The CEO of “Silver Penguin” Cho Kyuhyun was waiting in his car for his husband Lee Hyukjae to come downstairs. They had been married for 7 years now. Exactly one year older than the age of his software development company. Hyukjae and him possible the best team in the world. Well, at least for Kyuhyun. He is an award winning software engineer and Hyukjae is marketing genius. And love between them is so fitting that it helps their dynamic to a great extent. It took their blood and sweet to make their company one of the best in South Korea in these six years. So many sleepless night , frustrations, insults and so on. But they were determined and had each others back. Now they are successful and Kyuhyun is the youngest self made CEO in South Korean business world.
 Kyuhyun is thinking to take Hyukjae on a date trip to Bali as they just finished a big project . He looks outside and sees his beautiful husband in sky blue colored shirt , approaching him. He is obviously tired but Kyuhyun thinks this is the iest look a person could have. However, Hyukjae stops in the middle abruptly looking beyond kyuhyun. Being curious, Kyuhyun also looks to the side. He swears his heart clenches so hard that he could die right now. 
There is Lee Donghae , the handsome man, Hyukjae’s first love and Kyuhyun sometimes doubt maybe the only love of Hyukjae. It may be true that Hyukjae loves Kyuhyun. But the amount of love and  adoration Hyukjae has or ,preferably say, likely had for Donghae can’t compete with anything. 
Donghae and Hyukjae were known as “model couple” in the college. Both were average students. Hyukjae was an amazing dancer and Donghae was the song writer. Business major Hyukjae and Social Science major Donghae met in a club activity during the fresh year and somehow ended up being a couple. Donghae was the only son of a billionaire. Hyukjae’s family was middle class and Hyukjae had to do a part time job after his class in a coffee shop. Donghae persuaded him and Hyukjae eventually fall in love. Kyuhyun joined computer engineering department when both Hyukjae and Donghae were in their Junior Year. He used to study in the coffee shop and secretly fall in love with Hyukjae. 
Kyuhyun was always the nerd kid in school and university, people never bullied him but they were never kind to him either. Hyukjae was very kind to him and urged him to talk. Though Kyuhyun was hesitant and shy , he seemed to like Hyukjae’s presence. But Kyuhyun also knew his crush could never be his love. Everybody knows about The famous Eunhae couple. However, the relationship of Eunhae was becoming less important to Donghae. When donghae was getting matured with age, he started to treat as Hyukjae his buddy and started a new affair with the famous girl of the university. Reason？In Donghae’s language , his father , society and his inheritance. Hyukjae had patience and of course he loved Donghae a lot.  Hyukjae got an internship in the marketing department of Samsung and Donghae joined his uncle’s company. Donghae was getting more distant day by day and Hyukjae was trying hard to understand him. When Hyukjae’s job got permanent, he called Donghae to celebrate with him. Instead , Donghae told him they need to talk. They decided to meet at the coffee shop Hyukjae used to work. 
“Hae, have you been waiting long ？Sorry I missed the bus earlier, so had to take the next one”
“Hyukjae, let’s get to the point, please. It is important. And I want you to trust me.”
“Of course I trust you. What’s happening ？you are scaring me Hae.”
”I am going marry Alice. And before you get frustrated or sad, no, it is not my choice. It is my father’s. I have no option to deny it and I may lose my inheritance over it. But I promise I still love you. I will always be with you no matter what “
”woah Hae, relax and breathe. Let me understand what you said. You are going to get married ？”
“Yes”
“And it is not with me, right ？”
“Yes, but I will be with you. The marriage is just on paper”
“ Are you kidding me ,Hae？”
“No, I can’t live without you Hyukjae and I can’t lose my inheritance either, please understand. Only you can be by my side. Please “ -Hae was crying at that point. 
Hyukjae was confused and thinking hard. Seeing Donghae crying, was his nightmare and he didn’t know what to do. 
“Who is Alice ？”
”My uncles’s daughter”
“You will not leave me ,right Donghae？”
“Never Hyukie, I can’t live without you “. He hugged Hyukjae and whispered all kind of assuring words. Kyuhyun accidentally heard the conversation and was very upset for Hyukjae. He wanted them, more precisely Hyukjae to be happy. 
 After 3 months , Donghae got married to Alice. Soon after, they both enlisted for military service in different service unit. Their communication seemed to have the biggest gap in Korean Peninsula. Hyukjae was sad. He was counting his days and tried to contact with Donghae in many ways . In the two year of enlistment, Hyukjae met Donghae only once and the whole day was all about fierce than comforting talk. After 1 month of discharge, Hyukjae came to know Donghae was going to be a father and the baby was due in 4 months. Hyukjae felt the worst person in the world. He suddenly felt like the third person intruding in a happy family . Was he a bad person. He remembered Hae’s face and their love making moments. No, Donghae said he would die without Hyukjae . He could do anything for Donghae to be happy . Afterall, Donghae still come back to him. No matter how the situation looked, it was sure that they loved each other. Things got worse when Hae joined politics. Hyukjae became the secret of Donghae permanently. Korean society was not ready for same and a rising politician was always target of the camera. Hyukjae was getting into the deep hole of depression. A talented marketing executive was lagging behind in career despite having potentially . He couldn’t share his sorrow to anyone. He was missing Donghae badly. Fast forward to 2 years later, Donghae got his ticket to National Assembly. Hyukjae was struggling depression, became fully alcoholic and became jobless. He started to work as a stripper at night and during the day he swallowed his pain with alcohol. He had almost lost everything apart from his tiny apartment. He was lucky that his parents and sister didn’t need him to take care of them. At that time, Kyuhyun came to his life. Hyukjae had put up a roommate requirement advertise somewhere as he was behind the rent and Kyuhyun was looking for a cheap place to live. It was a mere coincidence or maybe the game of fate. Hyukjae was happy to see his dongseng but his happiness didn't reflected in his eyes. Kyuhyun settled down inthe apartment and it pained kyuhyun a lot to see his love destroying himself gradually. Kyuhyun tried to knock some sense in his hyung but couldn’t. After 1 month, one Sunday, Hyukjae was passed out on the sofa and Kyuhyun was preparing lunch after cleaning the apartment. He was trying hard for the last month to feed Hyukjae proper meals. Kyuhyun finished and woke Hyukjae up for lunch. Hyukjae groaned and went to freshen up. When Hyukjae checked his phone, he saw 17 missed call from his sister’s number. He sat beside Kyuhyun to eat and rang back his sister . Her sister didn’t pick up first . After third attempt, Hyukjae got hold of his sister to hear the most devastating news. His father died. Last night when he was drinking like crazy , his father had an heart attack and died before arriving the hospital. Hyukjae was already half broken, and the news broke him completely. He cried and cried. And Kyuhyun was there to support him. They immediately headed to Hyukjae’s home in Neunggok. The small funeral was held and Kyuhyun took care of it in a very decent way. Hyukjae was loathing himself . His misery had no end . His mother was also sick which he had no idea. After wrapping up the customary, Kyuhyun ,Hyukjae and his family headed back to their house at the midnight . Kyuhyun convinced everyone to have some sleep. At the dawn , Kyuhyun woke up with the sound of front door opening as he was sleeping on the couch in the living room. He got to the door and found it unlocked. Getting out, he saw  Hyukjae’s running figure. Yes, Hyukjae was running. Running away from the misery. Running away from the guilt. He would finish all of his misery today. He reached the quiet and most unnoticeable place near Bukhan river. 
“Forgive me appa. I am such a loser son. Forgive me omma, being an unworthy son. Forgive me noona, I am the most ungrateful brother. 
Lee Donghae , no matter how much it hurts , I still love you . I love you like a fool”. He cried and took out the bottle of sleeping pills . He also brought the razor blade. No one could save him, that was his goal.
Kyuhyun was right on time to stop the stupid fanatic Donghae-lover Hyukjae. Hyukjae was very agitated and was throwing his hands and feet’s to get rid of Kyuhyun. But Kyuhyun was determined . This time he would save his love at any cost . He was going to make Hyukjae his and his only. He abruptly and quite forcefully kissed hyukjae. Shocked Hyukjae stopped struggling and after some moments he started crying . Kyuhyun knew it was not the right time , but he proposed Hyukjae . Hugging him tightly. 
“Marry me Hyung , please. I can’t take it anymore. Marry me . Just marry me. From the days in the coffee shop, I just wanted you, but nobody wanted me. Want me hyung. Marry me. Be with me . If you can’t love me, do me a favor and marry me. Please”. Kyuhyun was crying too. He knew he was so much in love with Hyukjae . But this sudden proposal made Hyukjae almost motionless. After sitting there for several hours, they headed back to home. Nobody had appetite , but Kyuhyun made them eat . Kyuhyun had take a day off from his job that day but he couldn’t take anymore leave of absence. But he was reluctant to leave Hyukjae. Fortunately , Hyukjae’s sister told Hyukjae to go back to his job . Money could be needed in a lot amount in future. Hyukjae came back to Seoul with Kyuhyun. It was almost 9pm at night when they reached their apartment. Opening the door, they found Donghae on the couch. He saw Kyuhyun was holding Hyukjae on the waist and he immediately got up to punch Kyuhyun. Hyukjae was shocked but quick enough he regained his sense to stop Donghae before he could punch Kyuhyun again. Kyuhyun stood there with the bleeding lips and Hyukjae was coaxing Donghae. Kyuhyun didn’t know what hurt most that time. His face or his heart. He quietly left the apartment and sitting on the nearest park bench , he cried. He cried a lot. He wanted to stop the bleeding of his heart but no matter what , it hurt like insane. He thought he could die. After almost 2 hours , he headed back to their apartment. As he didn’t hear any sound , he entered the apartment silently . He peaked at their shared room and the room was dark. He switched on the only bed side light in the middle of their two single bed. He  found Hyukjae on his bed , his lower body was covered with the blanket and his upper body was decorated with love bites. Seeing Hyukjae like this , he thought would he ever win against Donghae？He sat beside Hyukjae and whispered “ should I stop trying to get you ？ Have I ever had the chance to at least try ？Was I an idiot to propose you like that ？But I love you , really Hyung. It is ok if you don’t give me a chance . But can’t you atleast see the worth of yourself ？”. He touched Hyukjae’s cheek and found it colder than natural. When he tried to fix the blanket , only then he found the cut on the wrist and the blood pool formed from that. Panicked Kyuhyun called 112 and after 10 mins , Hyukjae was taken to the hospital. Hyukjae was saved by the thinnest line of death. Kyuhyun took help from his mom this time and when he was in the office his mother almost baby sitted Hyukjae. When Hyukjae was physically fit, Kyuhyun took initiative to take care of Hyukjae. First he sold the apartment, well technically Hyukjae’s apartment . But he did it legally. Then he brought a bigger apartment so his mother, Hyukjae and him could accommodate easily. His mother also chipped in some money. Because of the emotional turmoil, Hyukjae had already lost the stripper job a long ago. After settling down in the new apartment, he asked Hyukjae to give him a chance and marry him. In South Korea, it might not be legal but they can go to Taiwan and legalized it. Hyukjae didn’t answer. Every night , Hyukjae could find Kyuhyun beside his bed as if he was afraid , Hyukjae would be gone without him knowing. After almost 2 months of their moving in the new apartment , one Saturday morning , Hyukjae sat in front of Kyuhyun , “ I want to say something “. Kyuhyun’s mother was outside for grocery shopping. It was a whisper from Hyukjae but Kyuhyun was beyond happy to see Hyukjae at least talking . 
“Kyuhyun , I am broken. Broken beyond repair. Your life is organized and it has a good future. Why you want to ruin it by marrying me ？”
“Because I love you , I knew you could never be mine, but I still made my whole life plan thinking you by my side. I thought you in my life. I thought you to be the other son of my mom. I thought you to be my spouse. Hyung you know, I always wanted to open my own company. Do you know I dreamt of you designing my company . I thought we could come back to home after work and do grocery shopping together, cook together, eat together. Then watching movie on the couch cuddling you. I know it sounds obsessive. I know it sounds like a drama plot. But I did love you and irony of my fate is I still love you. “
Hyukjae was blushing and tears was forming at the corner of his eyes. 
“Please Hyung , give me one chance. Just one. Please.”
“Is it fair to have you for healing my broken soul？”
”use me hyung. Mentally, physically, financially. At any cost, even if you don’t love me, use me hyung”
Hyukjae was silent for several minutes to sort his emotions. 
“ Be ready at 5pm . We will go somewhere and then I will give you answer.”
Kyuhyun was very worried. He couldn’t eat his lunch well. The calmness in Hyukjae was scaring him. Finally Kyuhyun was ready wearing his baby blue hoody and jeans. He came out his room and saw Hyukjae in black shirt and blue jeans. He was looking too much handsome and above all fresh. Kyuhyun was really tempted to kiss him but he of course had the best self control. They took a bus and went to a 5 star hotel. Kyuhyun was wondering why they were there. They went inside and a man took them to a room at the end of the third floor corridor. The hotel was vey lavish and Kyuhyun was really really worried. He tried to ask Hyukjae but the latter didn’t pay attention.After knocking the door for them, the man left . Kyuhyun got his answer as soon as the door opened. Donghae was there. His heart was hurt at the sight but he kept his posture. Donghae came out and hugged Hyukjae. “ you came Hyukjae. Thank you. It will help me a lot during the next election. The officials will be really happy to have you and they will recommend and fund me. Thank you hyukkie. Only you know what is best for me”.
Kyuhyun was smart enough what these could be meant but he wanted to believe he was assuming everything wrong. He looked at Hyukjae with questions in his eyes which was also reflecting a lot of sadness. Hyukjae looked at him and said, “ yes, you assumed right Kyuhyun, he wants me to myself for the sake of funding”. 
“ Hyukkie, don’t say like that. I love you. And that’s why I am asking help from you when I need it.”
“ Lee Donghae , I came here to say you something. Hear me loud and clear. I am engaged to this person here. Meet my fiancé, Kyuhyun. Don’t you dare contact with me after today. No matter how much you love me, I am done with you. And if you try to interfere , I will make sure to spread our couple photos all over the internet. I have plenty of them. If you let go, I will let go too. Do you understand me？ Now go and yourself there.” 
Hyukjae grabbed Kyuhyun’s hand and went out to the hotel without look back. He breathed sharply and Kyuhyun was in awe, more accurately dazed with Hyukjae’s new found charm. Hyukjae noticed the open mouthed non-blinking face of Kyuhyun and raised his brows in question. Kyuhyun said “you are too beautiful to be true”. Hyukjae blashed so hard and Kyuhyun laughed out loud. Hyukjae then took a bus and went to the memorial of his father with kyuhyun. “ Appa, sorry for the last time. I will live my life more happily. Thank you for being my appa. And meet Kyuhyun , appa. We may get married”. Hyukjae said feeling all shy. “ may？why may hyung ？you still have doubt？”  "I didn’t get an engagement ring yet, that’s why pabo. And also you need to ask permission from my mom.”
“Oh, ok. First let me take the blessing of appa. Appa, hello, I am Kyuhyun. I wish I could face you and ask for your son’s hand . But since I failed to do so, let me ask you now. Appa, let me take care of Hyukjae Hyung, I promise I will love and care for him more than my own life.”
“ more than your own life？”
”yes hyung. This is the only thing I have to bet”
Hyukjae blushed again. Kyuhyun was sure cheesy. They headed to Hyukjae’s house to see his mom and his sister. Kyuhyun asked permission to marry Hyukjae and his mother was happy enough to see Hyukjae happy. Hyukjae’s sister asked “ what about the ring then？”
Kyuhyun took out a chain from his neck and revealed a ring. He got on his knee in front of Hyukjae.
“This is a silver ring. I bought it with my scholarship money when I was in university and when I was already in love with you. Marry me Hyukjae Hyung, I will buy you a diamond ring later. But you don’t need to give me anything without a “yes”. You are the bestest jewel I can ever have.”
No matter how much cringy and cheesy it sounded, Hyukjae thought it was the best proposal ever. 
They got married. Hyukjae was searching for job but due to the gap in between , it was very hard for him to get a chance. Hyukjae also changed his number to avoid Donghae and lost some important connections too. Kyuhyun was taking care of the household. He was working in the office and also doing household works when he was back. Kyuhyun’s mother also helped. Hyukjae also did some works . But he was not ready for being a househusband. Starting life with Kyuhyun was hard but he could make it eventually. So his marital life was great . Kyuhyun and his mother pampered him too much. He felt blessed .All Hyukjae needed was a job to regain himself fully. But it was hard. So he decided to go back to be the waiter in coffee shop. Kyuhyun rejected. “ you are a talented marketing person, no way in hell you are going to waste it. I am not letting you to do that ”. After one year of their marriage, Hyukjae and Kyuhyun had a big fight over it. Hyukjae ended up crying. He was getting frustrated with himself and Kyuhyun. No matter how talented he is, nobody was willing to give him a chance . Also he had nobody but himself to blame. 
Two days after the fight , Hyukjae was looking for jobs in their bedroom. Kyuhyun came to him with two mug coffee and sat beside him. Hyukjae could feel Kyuhyun but didn’t look up. 
“ Can we talk a bit , please？” 
Hyukjae sighed and faced him. He took the coffee mug from Kyuhyun and both of them went to the balcony. After some silent moment , Kyuhyun started.
“ I always had a dream but never enough strong to start it alone . But only you can help me with this . I know you can but I am too afraid to ask.”
“ Could you please stop thinking me as something fragile？”
“FRAZILE！who？” Kyuhyun said with dramatic expression. Hyukjae hit him annoyed. Kyuhyun chuckled and said “ you are one of the strongest person I have ever seen. You struggled , you survived, you came back from the verge of giving up. You stood tall before the obstacles of your life. You loved yourself back. You are the most strongest person I could ever met.”
It was blushing time for Hyukjae. Kyuhyun smiled looking at Hyukjae and put their coffee mug on the small table. 
“ I am planning to open my own company. It was always my dream. During my last year in undergrad, I was accepted by the Naver. Finishing internship , I graduate and finished the military service. I worked in naver after that. I could have lived very luxurious life as you know my salary is really great. But I put together some money . I needed someone with sells and marketing. I can take care of the software development. I need your help to achieve my dream . Help me love, please.” 
And Hyukjae was beyond happy to do that . Kyuhyun didn’t immediately resigned. They planned about the company and brought their best friends in the team. Well , Kyuhyun didn’t really had friends like Hyukjae had millions. He called his one and only best friend Ryewook, who knew the most miserable parts of him. Anyways , upon arriving , first day was revealing Kyuhyun’s crush and obsession in university life mentioning the picture book, diaries, coffee order receipt etc. And of course it was all about Hyukjae . So the whole day was Kyuhyun getting embarrassed and Hyukjae blushing madly. As for Hyukjae’s friend , he didn’t have connection with anybody for long time . It was hard but he finally managed to get hold of his beloved Heechul Hyung and Leeteuk Hyung. He used to live in Leeteuk’s house as paid guest and along with Heechul, he was his university senior. Heechul was very good at making things pretty and Leeteuk was good at finance. So 5 of them started together. And after 5 years, they got their first biggest recognition project from google and awarded as best business startup . On the other hand, Donghae was struggling with politics after his father’s death. He ended up leaving politics and joined his uncle’s aka his father-in-laws firm again. 

Seeing Donghae now, Kyuhyun gets worried that Hyukjae would be upset along with the thought of being the second in Hyukjae’s mind. He looks to his side hearing knock on the glass window. Seeing Hyukjae, he rolls the glass down. 
“Dear husbandnim, can we have some fried chicken and beer ？Also , being a romantic husband , buy me some rose.”
“Fried chicken and bear is ok. But wait for the rose. It takes time to delivery.”
“Can’t wait. Buy me now “
“ where can I find rose now？there is no shop around here”
“ buy from that grandma and the little girl”
Kyuhyun looked at the direction Hyukjae was pointed and saw a grandmother and probably her granddaughter selling rose. Just beside Donghae. Is it believable that Hyukjae didn’t see donghae
“ so you stopped abruptly because of rose ？Kyuhyun was hurt because his husband was trying to be pretentious. 
“ No pabo. Look there. Your friend is eating up the mouth of our new sale manager. Finding Ryewook gay is shocking to me”
Kyuhyun looked and immediately covered his eyes. 
“Ewww, the most gross scene a person could ever see. My eyes are poisoned”
“ My eyes are double poisoned. “
“ Double, why ？”
“ Because I saw that gross scene of kissing and I also saw my gross ex Donghae”. 
Hyukjae was irritated and Kyuhyun was happy. 
“ get in the car . Let me get the flowers”
“ be quick, I suddenly feel like vomiting”
Kyuhyun chuckles and get out of the car after giving his husband a quick peck. He buys all the flower from the grandmother . He can feel Donghae’s eye. But Donghae is not alone . A little boy is clinging onto his leg. Kyuhyun figures it is his son. Anyways, Kyuhyun gets back to car, gives Hyukjae flower and gets a kiss from Hyukjae.  He drives back to the house . That night after beer and chicken, they watch movie while cuddling. Horniest Hyukjae made sure to ride his husband so good after that. Kyuhyun is sure now he has defeated Donghae and he is number one in Hyukjae’s mind. Well, he is not wrong. Hyukjae really made his husband number one in his mind and in his little world.
