'Tap, tap, tap.'

'Click, click, click'

 

Then a pause. After several minutes, the same clicking and typing sound can be heard again.

 

'Tap, tap, tap'

'Click, click, click'

 

" this! I'm so done."

 

She looks at her watch and notices it is almost 2.00 in the morning. She realize that she was in the room alone and couldn't help but chuckle again. She takes out her phone and starts to dial someone.

 

Adam

 

'Ring...ring...ring'

'Ring...ring...ring'

 

And the ring stopped. 

 

"Please. Pick up the phone."

 

She decided to call Adam again.

 

'Ring...ring...ring'

'Ring...ring...ring'

 

And the ring stops again.

 

"I guess I'm alone tonight."

 

After failing multiple times, she just give up. There's no point in calling someone several times at this hour. Of course, he's most probably sleeping soundly (or ing someone). He usually has no problem keeping her company whenever she's out being a night owl in the laboratory room. 

 

"He is ing someone, doesn't he?"

 

She decided to switch off her computer and head out of the room. 

 

Sara Brown. The 3rd year student at the University of Brookefield. She's majoring in Marine Biology, especially in marine turtles. It was always her dream to become a marine biologist since her first visit to the aquarium when she was 10 years old. She was mesmerized by all the fishes in the aquarium and she could just sit by the aquarium and watch them for hours. After the visit, her parents decided to bring her to the aquarium every year. But now, instead of going to the aquarium, she can just dive into the ocean and be with them almost every week.

 

The weather outside is chilly and Sara couldn't help but hug herself to warm herself.

 

"If only your jacket is here."

 

Sara has no problem waking up and still feeling energetic at this hour as she is a night owl herself. But tonight, something different. Something is missing. Something is not present. Oh yes. Him.

 

Sara is about to approach her studio apartment entrance when she decided to look at her phone again. 

 

Empty.

Silence.

Nothing.

 

She sighed and punched her key room and enter her studio apartment. Her studio apartment is cosy, simple and perfect for one person. It can fit two people too. White wall covers the entire building with a light pink line separating the ceiling and the wall. A single bed is placed near the wall with a vanity and a big tall mirror opposite the bed. A huge work desk is by the window overseeing the pretty ocean. Nothing too fancy and nothing too simple. It was perfect for her. For him too.

 

Though she is very tired from the workload since morning, Sara decided not to take any bath and just wash her face. She just wants to go to sleep. After all, tomorrow is the weekend. She plans to wake up in the afternoon and have brunch tomorrow.

 

"Sound like a plan."

 

She looked at her phone again that was placed on the bedstand near her bed and sighs again.

 

"Not a single call. Not even a text. Really Adam?"

At the other studio apartment 30 minutes away from Sara's studio apartment

 

The bed is rustling. A big growl. A scream of satisfaction can be heard. 

 

"That was awesome, Adam. You really are a beast."

 

"Wow! That was first. You know, I kinda feel hard again."

 

Both men's eyes stare at Adam's crotch and the other man can't help but feel lust and again. He his lips and stare at Adam's eyes seductively. Before Adam can jump into the other man's chest again, his phone rings.

 

'Ring...ring...ring...'

'Ring...ring...ring...'

 

Adam stop and immediately look at the clock that was hanging on the wall near his bed. 2 in the morning. .

 

He pushed himself up away from the other man. The other man is confused.

 

"I need to go."

 

"Why? Don't you need me now?" The other man pleads.

 

It's always like this. Without looking at his phone, Adam knew that it was always Sara that calling him at this hour. He missed her. They have not met since last week. He knows she's been busy with her thesis and he is busy...ing. 

 

"She's probably alone right now." Adam thought.

 

Indeed it was true. Sara is well-known among her peers as a person who likes to stay at the university until late at night. It was always Adam who will accompany her. But last month, everything changed. He met with this man, Daniel Smith and fell in love with him. He's gay yes but Sara never had a problem with them. She just smile and was friendly as usual when he introduced Daniel to her. It was Daniel who is envious of his relationship with Sara.

 

Daniel called it,

 

"You both are too close."

 

"Adam?" Do you want me or not? 

 

Adam shook his head and look at his boyfriend. Daniel is perfect. So y. There is no way he will reject Daniel. The sight of the man under him is just too tasty. Immediately all the thoughts about Sara were forgotten.

 

"There is no way, you gonna take him from me."
