Family gatherings can be the best event of the year, having fun with family members you couldn’t see for a long while.

 

There are also gatherings where you would just like to leave or hide in a corner, wanting your relatives to stop asking questions about your love life.

 

The Jang Family loves gatherings and does one in their mansion every season of the year.

Since their oldest daughter found a girlfriend with a huge family as well who also liked doing these gatherings, they decided to invite the Parks too and make the event bigger.

 

Later the Kims and Myouis tagged along, and it was a massive family gathering.

Each of their daughters has already found a partner, with some of them bringing their parents along from time to time.

 

Now the only question is if the gatherings belong to the best or worst day of the season.

 

 

 

"Are you ready Baby?"

 

 

 

"I don't know Yujin. Maybe I should wear something else?"

the older girl chuckled at her girlfriend, still not used to seeing her so panicked.

 

She got closer and made the brunette look at her

 

 

"Wony you look beautiful. It's just a family gathering"

 

 

"Yeah, a family gathering with too many people who ask too many questions"

the tall girl said with a huff.

 

 

"But we're not alone. Kazuha will be there with Yunjin, and your sisters are there as well"

Wonyoung calmed a bit down, thinking about the other girls in her age.

 

Yujin pulled her in a warm embrace moving them left to right a bit

 

 

"It will be fine. Last time wasn't as bad as you thought as well"

the younger girl nodded and pulled away, pecking her girlfriend's lip without leaving some lipstick on her.

 

 

"You're right. I also heard that Dahyun will bring her family with her and that her sister Minju has a girlfriend now as well"

 

 

 

"Wow, so many families are girl lovers. If your brother wasn't straight, your parents would never get grandchildren"

 

 

 

"What is that supposed to mean? They already have one. Also, he is not going to be at the gathering"

"You know not fully biological"

 

 

 

"Jiwon Unnie was pregnant with him”

 

 

 

“But your sister not”

 

 

 

“So you wouldn't love our kids as much because they are not biological?"

Yujin apologized with a pout, not liking to fight with her girlfriend.

 

She just wanted to make her think about something else but messed up. Wonyoung pecked the older girl's cheek after the apology

 

 

"It's fine. I get what you were trying to do. Let's get it over with"

Mina and Jihyo rushed to their bedroom, seeing Dahyun lying on their bed with a pillow on her face

the older of the two asked

"What?"

Mina asked with a chuckle after they couldn't understand Dahyun from mumbling into her pillow.

 

 

The pale girl pulled the pillow away but looked at the ceiling

 

 

 

"Jiu told me they won't bring Jonni along"

 

 

 

"Aww, I was so excited to play with him"

Jihyo said with a small pout, while Mina sat next to Dahyun on the bed

 

 

 

 

"And that's bad because?...."

the younger girl looked up at her girlfriend

 

 

 

"That means their whole attention will be on us again. Little Jonni did such a good job these last few times"

 

 

 

"Don't be so dramatic. Let them ask. We're together for four years now and the only ones who had some problem with it were Mina's grandparents from her mother’s side"

 

 

 

"Also there will be Jino to Baby around and other couples who will have their focus, don't you think?"

Mina said, caressing Dahyun's leg up and down.

 

Jihyo then also sat on the bed

 

 

 

"Is Minju bringing her girlfriend and family along?"

the three talked about more details about the party but when Mina looked at the watch she quickly got up.

 

 

"Dahyun fix your makeup, Jihyo, you can move to the car, and I will call Zuha to tell her we are on our way to pick them up"

Jiwon chuckled and walked closer to them, looking at her Baby

 

 

"You wouldn't survive an hour without him Gyul. Also, he is a good distraction for other grandparents"

"I bet the girls are happy about it. Wooyeon and Wonyoung asked me at least four times if they really have to be there. Slowly they should get it inside their head that our parents will do these events each season"

 

 

 

"And we have it double bad since both our families are there"

Gyuri nodded and finished giving Jino his food

 

 

"We should get ready now. I don't want your mom to scold me again"

Jiwon couldn't help but laugh at the statement, taking Jino in her arms and walking over to her wife to peck her cheek

 

 

 

"You will be fine. She just acts hard with you because she knows you are afraid of her"

 

 

"Why are all Parks, such bullies? Poor Jihyo had to put up with your parents and you. No wonder why she looks for comfort in two people"

Jiwon hit the taller girl lightly, before moving to the toddlers' room, putting him inside clean clothes, while Gyuri changed clothes as well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 "Do you think they will like me?"

 

 

 

"Of course, why wouldn't they? My sister's lovers were all accepted as well. Dahyun has two girlfriends, and my parents were okay with it. You really don't have to worry Yeji"

Minju said, putting her hand on Yeji's thigh since the older girl was driving right now.

 

 

 

"I hope Mom won't get sensitive. She reads words so wrong sometimes that she picks up a fight without a reason"

"I don't care. If I hear one more ist or homophobic comment from my grandpa or if someone wants Mina and me to show some ballet moves I will burst Yunjin. I'm serious. I'm so sick of those gatherings"

the older girl frowned at what her girlfriend said.

 

She then placed herself on Kazuha's lap

 

 

"Why can't you just ignore it, as your sister does? He doesn't understand it and that's alone his problem. The other girls will be there. It's been so long since we got the chance to talk to them"

she then leaned closer and left soft kisses on Zuha's cheeks, nose, forehead, and lips.

 

 

"Let's give it another try and have some fun"

Kazuha groaned but knew that there was some truth to what her girlfriend said.

 

She also doesn’t want to deny Yunjin having a great night, so she nodded.

 

The older girl grinned and pecked her girlfriend’s lips before standing up. Kazuha followed her but stopped when her phone rang.

“You know that I plan everything ahead. I make sure that your family likes me. Gyuri Unnie and Wonyoung already like me, so no worries”

Wooyeon smiled at the older girl and hugged her, realizing that she should see the positive aspect of going to the gathering, which is showing off her girlfriend.

 

She then pulled away from the hug to kiss her girlfriend

 

 

“What was that for?”

“For being an amazing girlfriend”

the older girl grinned and pecked Wooyeon’s lips

 

 

“Come on, let’s get going”

Since the two live just a five-minute walk away from Wooyeon’s parents, they could get ready without having to rush.

The first ones to enter the Jang Mansion were the Poly couple and Kazuha with her girlfriend.

It was a little awkward to get greeted by Mrs. Jang who was expecting one of her own children to be the first ones to come.

 

She lead the girls to the living room where the grandparents and parents were already seated.

Kazuha and Dahyun cursed inside their head already, seeing that they were the first ones.

 

Yunjin squeezed her girlfriend’s hand once before moving brightly to the older guests

 

 

 

“Yunjin darling, it’s so great to see you again”

Mrs. Myoui said, standing up to hug the girl.

 

 

Kazuha smiled while watching her girlfriend greeting everyone with this adorable smile she always had.

However, when she greeted her grandpa and got a cold treatment, she clenched her fist.

She wanted to say something, but her hand then was held back by her sister

 

 

 

“Don’t give him any attention. Yunjin is doing an amazing job”

Mina whispered to her sister who took in a deep breath before nodding and going to her girlfriend.

 

She also greeted her family and got to one of the tables where they would usually sit.

 

 

 

“Have you already decided which one of you gets pregnant?”

Mrs. Kim asked, making Dahyun glare at her mother.

 

 

Everyone’s eyes were on them but luckily the bell rang.

While Jihyo and Mina talked with their relatives, Dahyun talked to her mother that she doesn’t want to hear anything about it right now.

 

On the other hand, Wooyeon and Wonyoung met each other in front of the mansion and decided to get in together.

Nayeon and Yujin were chuckling at their girlfriends as if they were preparing to go to war.

 

When the door opened they could understand it a little, by how Mrs. Jang looked at her daughters

 

 

 

“Finally. Shouldn’t you be the first ones to be here? The Myoui daughters are already here with their girlfriends”

Wooyeon rolled her eyes and asked

 

 

 

“Is Gyuri Unnie already here?”

 

 

“Your sister has a son to take care of, so she doesn’t have to be early”

their mother replied and didn’t wait for one of her daughters to say something and looked behind them

 

 

 

“Yujin-ah, it's been so long?”

Yujin chuckled and hugged the woman back

 

 

 

“Mom, we ate dinner with you and dad a week ago”

Wonyoung replied, putting some distance between her mother and girlfriend before she will try to pinch Yujin’s cheeks again or poke her dimpled, something she likes to do since Yujin allowed it once.

 

 

Mrs. Jang then turned to Nayeon, smiling at her

 

 

“It’s great to finally meet you. I was already worried that Wooyeon would try to keep you all to herself”

Nayeon chuckled and shook hands with the woman, introducing herself properly.

 

 

The woman laughed and told them to get inside.

 

The two couples then greeted everyone, Wonyoung happy to see Yunjin and Kazuha, since they got along the best.

 

 

“Glad you could persuade her to come”

Wonyoung said to the older girl. Yunjin chuckled

 

 

“Did you think she would ditch this gathering?”

 

 

“Well after last time?!”

Her grandpa was drunk and very much open with his opinion about same- relationships.

The girls at the table had a little bit of small talk, updating each other about everything.

 

Next who came were Jiu and Siyeon.

 

The two were flooded with questions about Jonni’s well-being.

 

Mrs. Kim also told Siyeon to bring her mother along next time.
