After years of waiting, it's time. Kai is finally debuting as a solo artist. 

Kai was so focused in practicing he didn't even notice the person who entered the room. "Hi there!" said the visitor. Kai looked at the person and smiled when he realized it's Seulgi. Kai and Seulgi go way back, they were bestfriends. That's right, WERE. Right now, they're both friends but obviously, not like before.

"oh! what are you doing here?" kai asked. "I just finished recording and thought I should see how you're doing. I also brought this" seulgi replied and showed a paper bag from kyochon. "I figured you haven't eaten" seulgi added. "You think you know me so well" Kai playfully said. Seulgi was taking out the food she brought only to notice that there are no chopsticks "oh no! they forgot to put chopsticks. I'll just go buy from the store, wait for me!" Seulgi said while running to SUM cafe. Kai can't help but chuckle because of how cute seulgi is. 

Thanks to the fans outside it took almost an hour for seulgi just to get chopsticks. When she came back, kai wasn't there. "Did he leave without saying goodbye?" seulgi said to herself.

*At the Rooftop*

"There you are! I thought you left without saying goodbye after I brought you food." seulgi joked. Kai smiled tiredly and said "I just need a breather" Seulgi looked at him "Do not overwork yourself, you know better. And I'm pretty sure you'll do great. It'll be a hit!" kai couldn't help but smile. hearing those words means a lot.

They just sat there, staring at the beautiful skyline. Then, Kai breaks the silence. "Do you think if certain things did not happen we'd still be together?"

seulgi looked at the skyline thoughtfully and replied "Hmm maybe?" she continued "If you think about it, if we didn't break up you wouldn't have dated krystal and jennie" seulgi teasingly said.

kai chuckled and looked at her "no, i wouldn't. because i think we'd be end game." seulgi looked at him and said "yeah, we would've been" then looked at the skyline again. Kai looks at her and think of how everything was so familiar. Him with his training clothes sitting on the rooftop with seulgi while looking at the skyline.

He couldn't help but asked her "does he make you happy?" seulgi smiled with a thoughtful look on her face and said "yeah, he does. I never thought I could be this happy again." Kai looked away and said "well, then, I'm happy for you." he smiled. he's genuinely happy for her, she has been a part of him. seulgi took his hand and looked at him "you know, I'll always be here for you" kai looked at her "yeah, i know."
