CHIAKI'S POV 

I turned around my bed with thoughts filling out my head of what happened two days ago, Valentines Day. I really cant believe I just said that to Keito, and I also wonder, are we going too fast? Seems like I need to know him more by now. I dont know what to do anymore. 

RING!

RING!

I reach for my phone on the bedside as I looked at the caller. 

"Dori-kun, doua?" I answered thru the call as i just heard nothing but a hum. "Dori?" I sat up on my bed as he laughed and i put my phone far from my ear looking at the time "What are you up to?" I asked as I can hear stuffs being thrown or set aside I dont know. "Wanna go out with me today?" He asked. "At this hour? Dor, its freaking 11AM and did you know that the sun is shining brightly today....I dont want" I said firmly as he laughed. "No you will, go out with me and lets eat at the park" I rolled my eyes as I sighed. "Im lazy" 

"Do you want me to pick you up instead?" I pouted on the other line as he laughed again. "Meet me at the park in 30minutes" He ordered me as I groaned in frsutration. 

Well i cant say no to him because first, I also wanna spend time with this guy i didnt see for almost years. Second, I just miss him. But hey, its not that Im cheating on Keito right?  Since we arent together so I think it will be fine. I talked to myself again while walking towards the park where he said to meet me, and yes. Im so lazy right now. 

"Boo!" A guy went infront of me as I jumped a bit holding my bag when I saw the guy who is now smiling infront of me. 

"Why are you spacing out hmn?" He said as he messed my hair and I just looked at him covering his bangs with my hand. "Why do you look so handsome when at the bar and not when you are out" I tilted my head as he pouted. "Do i look ugly now?" I shook my head as he cups my cheeks and squeezed it. "Did you just walk here from your home?" He asked as I just looked at him. 

"Bus ofcourse" I said when he let go of my face putting a hat on my head. "Wear that, its kinda hot today so shade yourself" I laughed as i followed him. "By the way, whats with this hmn?" I walked slowly as he walk ahead of me talking fast. 

"Huh?" I didnt get it. 

He turned to look at me as he smiled again. God, this guy is smiling lately. "I said, i want to have a picnic with you" He said as i crossed my arms and made an anoyed face. "What if i dont like? Didnt you even asked me if i have a boyfriend?" He scooted closer to me and leaned infront of my face. 

"Why? Do you even have one?" He said as he gave me a gummy smile. Do i have one? Im also asking myself that. "Chiaki, dont lie to me. Im the last person you can lie to. You still didnt give him a proper yes right?" I looked at him my eyebrows meeting at the center as he raised the tin can lock we have from years ago. "When I said go to the guy who needs your yes, did you gave it to him?" He smiled at him. 

"How can you still have that?" I looked at the tin can lock as i chuckled. "Hey, dont tell me you threw this away?" He pouted as I held on the tin can that is now attached to a metal chain made into like a keychain. 

"No, mine is on the box at the box, but i dont use it because i actually wore it from months, but then i got a bruise and it wont fit me anymore. So i hid it" I explained it as he smiled. "Well, it means we are still engaged right?" He chuckled as I pushed his forehad away. "Go away from me" I said walking ahead of him this time as he followed me with an arm around my shoulder. 

"What if i gave you a real ring now" He said as I looked at him. 

"What?" I looked at him and he smiled at me. "Im just kidding" 

I stood infront of him, arms crossed as I observed him. "Look, Chiaki. If that guy and you arent together yet then that means i still got a chance right?" He said as I pinch the bridge of my nose and thought. I wont deny that I once liked this guy, no, maybe he is my first love? I was too young at that time. 

"Say, Chiaki. Can I try to court you then?" My eyes widened at his sudden confession as I just blinked and he laughed. "This time, ill show you that Ill be the one to protect you. Can i do that?" He tilted his head as he crouched down on my height waiting for my answer patting my head. "Then ill treat that as a yes." then walked pass by me again. 

I cant barely recall when did i got a crush on Dori, but i just knew that this guy made me smile when we were young. Yes, he is a nerd and kinda clumsy but when he is serious, he is. I remember one time when I took off his glasses and asked him to walk on the corridor the girls whispered about him and even said "hi" out of nowhere, one even gave him a chocolate and a lot of girls asked him hows his day. Since he is older than me, I just looked at the window and I can see those things, until one day he went to school with his specs on again and looked for me. Luckily, that time I was off from the library to do homework as he went beside me and put an arm around my shoulder. 

"Should i accompany my princess?"

His words are so soft and mellow. Just like a song to my ears as he chuckled. 

Dori is always the top on the school, his batch do praise him for his outstanding skills but sometimes get bullied, they often ask him to do their homework. It last till he is ten where I met him and actually started to became friends with him. We always come together, eating at the back of the school during lunch. Eventually we got engaged at the age of twelve, iam twelve and he is fourteen and he gave me a tin can as an engagement ring, promised that we will marry each other. We were too young at that time. and after that schoolyear, I switched school and I saw him bid me goodbye while I hold onto the first button of his uniform as he gave it to me. 

"Chiaki, with chili or not?" I shook my head as Dori ordered a gyoza at the stall as I smiled when he turned around to gave me my share. "What are you smiling at" I shook my head and poked one gyoza before putting it whole on my mouth. "Careful, its hot" he blow onto it as i feel my cheeks reddened. No, Chiaki. You have Keito right? I internally told myself as he smiled,. "You are the same old Chiaki who eats hot food hastily" He pats my head slowly. 

Apparently the day went fun even its a little awkward, we end up talking how he messed up alot during our middle school days and how he actually peed on his pants because he is too nervous when he was asked to deliver a speech at the gymnasium. He offered to take me home but i declined, since i know he needs to go to work that time and I dont want to be a nuisance. One day is enough already, plus I know that it is too much for a small reunion between us. 

"By the way, would you like to go on a hot spring?" He asked when he was about to leave. "Next week, bring your friends, even that guy hmn" He said and bid me goodbye. 

Is he serious on brining Keito along?
