Strawberry Jam
Description
The jars stacked up as the days went by. He went through one a week. For someone who didn’t like strawberry flavoured things, he couldn’t seem to have enough of the stuff.
Foreword

I wrote this story when I was fifteen years old. I decided I needed to add this note because I knew some people might occasionally still read this. Here's the important part:
A character in this story suffers from and dies of cancer. I did no research on the matter, other than what I knew from family members having it. It may be deeply upsetting, as a story that is unaccurate, voyeuristic, disrespectful, or otherwise triggering on a personal level. The story I wrote was inconsiderate. Highly inconsiderate. That said, I won't admonish anyone for reading or enjoying it. It's in the past now.
Additionaly, I wrote this story before I realized I was gay. The depiction of gay characters was probably lacking, and if I was writing it today, it would be very different. That's something I can only hold myself accountable for.
That said, I'm very pleased that some people may be reading this foreward in 2016. This story meant a lot to my writing craft. Thanks.
