favorite day.

sunday

Eunbi slowly fluttered her eyes open, feeling a little bit dizzy and weak after getting her well deserved rest. Her vision faded a bit, making her close her eyes again, stifling a yawn.

Groaning softly, she shot her droopy eyes once again and wow— a familiar face of an angel greeted her, and a smile instantly curved up into her lips. She shifted a bit closer, admiring the said angel’s sleeping face with a grin— she looks like a creepy erted old man who kept staring at gorgeous women.

But then, in her defense— it’s not illegal to stare at your wife’s sleeping face, yes? She’s just simply admiring, worshipping, tracing her godly features with her gaze and soon after— her hand slowly reached for her face, gently cupping and caressing her wife’s smooth cheek and continued to watch her sleep peacefully like a log.

Eunbi heaved out a soft and silent sigh, not wanting to wake her wife up, let her get her well deserved sleep after working for six days non-stop. As far as she knows, the lady went home very late last night— must be overtime once again. She pities her wife so much— working diligently so she could afford their needs and wants, to give them a very comfortable life. Oh, Eunbi couldn’t help but to fall deeper and deeper each day.

“It’s a habit of yours to stare at me while I sleep, I noticed,”

Giggling, the woman with black bob hair pinched her wife’s cheek, eliciting a whine from her but her eyes remained closed. “You just noticed it today?” Eunbi asked, faking an upset tone which made the other lady open her eyes slowly, meeting gazes with her. Eunbi felt her heart skip a bit— this woman’s effect on her is seriously unbelievable.

They’ve been together for more than a decade or so, and been married for six years yet she’s still madly in love with her, so smitten and devoted— her feelings never faltered even a bit, just getting stronger and intense.

“Yah, Kang Hyewon, answer me.” Eunbi sulked, pouting a bit when Hyewon just stared at her as she rubbed her doe eyes. Hyewon then poked her tongue out to . “Of course, no,” She answered, rolling her eyes then cutely yawned— Eunbi’s sulky facade broke with that, cooing at her wife’s cuteness.

“You’re so adorable.” The older woman squealed, squishing Hyewon’s cheek once again while giggling. Puckering her lips, the beige haired woman shrugged. “I’ve been told.” She answered plainly, making Eunbi glare at her.

“By who?” She hissed, the pinch on Hyewon’s cheek tightened as her eyes narrowed, and brow arched— already flaming in jealousy. The younger yelped in pain, whining. “By you, duh!? You’re the only one who keeps calling me adorable.” She replied, sighing in relief when Eunbi’s hold softened.

Huffing, Eunbi finally sat up to stretch, in satisfaction and relief when she felt her bones crack satisfyingly and her stiff muscles relaxed. Hyewon snorted, also sitting up and stretched her neck slowly. “Damn, you’re getting old, Bi.” She joked, side-eyeing Eunbi who’s straightening her back.

“What did you just say, Kang Hyewon?” Eunbi asked firmly, throwing her wife a death glare. Hyewon cowered a bit, shaking her head to deny. “Nothing, love,” She lied, avoiding her eyes. The older one was not amused. “No, no. You said something about me getting old.” She grumbled, and pulled Hyewon closer to her, putting her into a chokehold.

“I’m pushing thirty but I could still bust your !” Eunbi said, laughing and Hyewon just nodded in agreement, trying to escape her wife’s hold, barely spouting words as she choked. “Y-Yes, you can! You could even reach more than ten—” She got cut off when a hand covered . “Oh, shut your naughty mouth,” Eunbi scolded, feeling her cheeks started to go warm.

Just a normal morning for the married couple, putting the younger one into chokehold after she teased the older one. Eunbi would rather say it, entertaining and fun— just enough scenario to make her wide awake, to start her morning with full of smiles and laughters.

Eunbi would love to keep everything this way, so peaceful yet happy— although their bickers could lead into something physical, ehem, no not that physical (well, who are we kidding, sometimes— it happens, no lies). And she’s glad that most of her mornings are just like this. Most couples get colder and distant with one another as they grow older but for Hyewon and Eunbi’s case— they most likely stayed the same like when they were just a new couple— and even became clingier and sweeter, also childish too. Eunbi turned twenty nine this year while Hyewon turned twenty seven yet they act like they were still in their teenage years.

Yelping, the bob haired woman gasped as she harshly retreated her hand that she used to cover Hyewon’s mouth, glaring at her while the younger just grinned at her mischievously. “Ugh, Hyewon, you are so disgusting!” Eunbi yelled, wiping her wet palm on the bed sheets while her wife just barked out a hearty laugh. Hyewon her palm, not surprising though, not like it happened for the first time.

Eunbi then pulled the younger closer to her again, peppering her a lot of kisses around her face to annoy her. Hyewon whined, pushing the older away and acting like she’s grossed out but it tells a lot at how she pushes her wife away with the slightest effort— Eunbi knows that Hyewon loves it whenever she shows her a lot of affection and gives her kisses, it’s not a secret— although, Hyewon would deny it, actions speak louder than words.

Her lips landed on the beige haired woman’s cold lips, pressing a soft kiss before pulling away, smiling at her wife who’s below her, staring back at her with her honey doe eyes. Beautiful, exquisite, goddess.

She then dipped her head once again, aiming for Hyewon’s lips for another kiss but the latter just covered — resulting for her lips to land on her knuckles instead. It made her whine, especially when Hyewon pushed her away gently. “Babe, morning breath.” The younger said exclaimed, still covering as she stood up from their bed, wearing her slippers.

Eunbi sighed, defeated as she stood up from the bed too, straightening her black shirt as she wore her fluffy slippers before walking to the bathroom— entering it with Hyewon who waited for her. It’s no secret too that Hyewon doesn’t like to kiss in the mornings because of their unpleasant breath but to be honest, the older couldn’t care less, she just wanted a kiss.

But hey, it’s not like a loss for her— the moment they brushed their teeth together and washed up, Hyewon will most likely pull her into a passionate make out or soft kiss— not forgetting her small promise.

The couple then brushed their teeth together, red toothbrush for Hyewon and purple for Eunbi. They would hit each other with their hips, making the both of them giggle. Sometimes, they would hum a song together as they brushed their teeth but today, it looks like their brushing teeth session will be more cheerful and playful.

Few moments later after rinsing their mouth, Eunbi just found herself getting pinned by the sink, with Hyewon’s lips moving against hers as she tried to match her pace— she could taste mint, it’s not entirely unpleasant but according to Hyewon, it’s much more better than kissing without brushing their teeth

And that’s how their morning brush took longer than usual.

After their heated morning kiss— they refreshed up and changed into their casual outfit for today, Eunbi finally went down to the kitchen as she left Hyewon at their room because the younger said she will fix some papers quickly and follow her soon.

The bob haired woman passed through another room, staring at the door with a lot of colorful stickers for quite a while, thinking. But in the end, she just went downstairs without disturbing them— they could get some more sleep, after all, she needed to cook first and it’s Sunday, there’s no school and there’s basically no reason why they should get up early.

With that, Eunbi finally went to their homey kitchen to cook a very delicious meal for everyone to start their day. She decided to just cook a simple western breakfast— waffles, bacon, and eggs. She also didn’t forget to prepare two mugs of coffee (for her and her coffee lover wife) and three glasses of warm chocolate milks for later.

In the middle of preparing the meal, she felt a presence behind her but she just ignored it and a moment after, a pair of arms s around her waist and she could feel something soft and warm behind her. She couldn’t help but to grin, especially when Hyewon tucked her chin on her shoulders.

“Smells good, darling,” She complimented, eyeing the food as Eunbi placed it on the plates. Eunbi just chuckled and let her wife back hug her. Hyewon usually does this whenever she cooks, the younger one is actually the clingier one anyway— she would always initiate a skinship with her like she would die if she wouldn’t feel Eunbi’s skin on hers.

Not like Eunbi is complaining, hell, she loves it.

“Ehhh! Mommy and Mother are being clingy and sweet again. It's too early for this,” A small squeaky voice could be heard behind, making the couple flinch but Hyewon did not detach herself from her wife, still hugging her tightly. Eunbi turned around and Hyewon did too, following her.

“Good morning, my love!” Eunbi greeted, chirping as she walked to their dining table, placing the plates there full of food with Hyewon following her around. She gestured for the kid to come near and she did, wobbly walking towards them with disheveled brown short hair as she rubbed her eyes.

Hyewon finally detached herself from Eunbi as she watched her wife adoringly. The bob haired woman crouched to match the kid’s height and pulled her into an embrace, she could hear a small whine of protest but she didn’t do anything and let Eunbi hug her, it’s like a daily routine anyway.

“You’re up first! This is new,” Eunbi exclaimed, breaking the hug and grinned when she saw the small girl huff, her cheeks puffing out. “Aye, mommy! I was the one who woke the other two up! They’re already awake when I went down, they will be out in a minute or so.” She said, and the older woman just nodded at the sight of her kid.

“What a reliable sister you are, Yujin! Now, where is our kiss?” Eunbi complimented then tilted her head sideward, showing her cheek and even pointed at it.

Yujin groaned but she pecked Eunbi’s cheek anyway and also went to Hyewon to give the latter a kiss on the cheek too. “Mornin’ mother.” The younger girl greeted the other woman. Hyewon just hummed and placed a kiss on her crown before gesturing to her to sit at her chair.

Not long after that, another two small figures appeared from the kitchen’s arch, rubbing their eyes as they walked slowly to Eunbi. “Good morning, Mom.” The shorter girl greeted with a raspy voice, trying to throw a sweet smile at her mom then placed a kiss on her cheek too. “Good morning, Minjoo.” She greeted back then watched her go to Hyewon to greet and give her a kiss too and got caught off guard when the taller one threw herself to her, whining. “Mommy~!”

“What’s wrong, Wonyoung?” She asked, carrying the girl with her arms as she stood up.

“Mommy! Wonyo kept asking us if we could go to the mall today! She kept whining about it ever since last night!” Yujin exclaimed after taking a gulp from her chocolate milk, the excess milk stayed above her upper lip, forming a moustache and Minjoo just wiped it with a tissue before turning to their older mom. “Yes, she said she wanted to go to the mall and buy barbie toys.” The shorter yet the oldest among them confirmed as she dumped the dirty tissue to the nearby trash can.

Hyewon hummed, eyeing Eunbi who’s still carrying Wonyoung. “Is that so?” She asked, nodding a bit. “Sure, Wonyo-ah. We’ll go to the mall later and we'll buy you the toy you want, sounds good?” She said with a small smile.

Wonyoung beamed, clapping her hands happily, obviously happy. “Yes, yes!” She said, then took the pink bunny stuffed toy that was tucked on her arm and reached for her mother. Eunbi passed the youngest yet tallest to Hyewon, the latter made her sit on her lap as she let the smaller girl place kisses on her cheek.

“Yay, we’re going to the mall!” Yujin exclaimed, jumping on her seat while Minjoo just smiled at them, excited for later too.

Eunbi chuckled, taking a seat beside Hyewon then looked at their lovely kids. “Okay, now. We’ll go later at nine. If you won’t finish the food, then you’ll get left behind, got that?” She playfully threatened but the three nodded, serious and determined, even Wonyoung went to her destined seat after giving one last kiss to her mother. “Yes!” They shouted simultaneously.

“Good. Let’s eat now.” The bob haired woman signaled and the lovely family of five started to eat their breakfast, and the morning is extra brighter because the three kids are so happy and excited for later.

Their mornings are usually like this but everything is more livelier every Sunday because all of them will be together for the whole day since Hyewon is too busy working six days a week while Eunbi’s schedule is less uptight because she’s just working as a barista at a nearby café, and noon to afternoon shift so she mostly stays in and do household chores.

Sunday is the day where all of them are free, and they will spend it together without a fail. Hyewon will never even take a call from the office every Sunday, she always refuses to accept the calls because this very day of the week is her only rest and the day where she could spend with her kids for a long time. If they are lucky enough in holidays, then they are also complete for a long day.

For those very reasons, Sunday is officially the Kang family’s favorite day of all.

For many, taking care of triplets is very hard, and not really ideal. Yes it is, if you’re not determined and patient enough— Eunbi snickers, but so far, Eunbi never really encountered any troubles taking care of her and Hyewon’s triplets: Minjoo, Yujin, and Wonyoung.

There were difficult times and hardships, but it’s normal but all in all, even if it was difficult, Eunbi learned how to see fun and loveliness in it.

Especially when the triplets were still babies and new to them. Eunbi learned a lot, and Hyewon too even though she was too busy working to earn money for them, her responsibility as a mother to the triplets— she never forgot that, even if she was tired from work, she will still tend the triplets— make milk thrice and cradle them each until they fall asleep, sacrificing her rest time and a lot of many things but no complaints can be heard from her.

When Eunbi thought she wouldn’t be able to love and admire Hyewon deeper because she thought she already poured everything in— her love, and admiration, also respect and devotion for her intensified even more, skyrocketing.

They got Minjoo, Yujin, and Wonyoung very early and Eunbi would like to say it, ‘early blessings’. The couple never really had plans to have children and stuff, and when they got married, it’s still off the table until they came.

Eunbi could still remember those three lovely babies, giggling at the sight of her and kept smiling at her whenever she baby-talked them. It was a one fateful day when the said woman volunteered to give away those donations and toys to a chosen orphanage.

She learned that the triplets were just all a year old babies. Their biological mother decided to give them away when they were still five months old because she’s suffering from an illness and she doesn’t have any money or relatives that could take care of her babies.

Eunbi knew that very moment that she needed to take care of them, adopt them and take them as their own. She immediately consulted it to Hyewon— they were just newly married that time and you don’t know how happy and grateful the bob haired woman was that time and even cried rivers when Hyewon didn’t hesitate to agree and even beamed at the thought that they will finally have children, triplets even! She thought it’ll be hard for her to convince her wife because there were a lot of factors and hassles but Hyewon just grinned at her, clapping happily as she asked more about the babies.

It was tough at first, but look at them now after six years, very happy and content.

“Yah, Kang Yujin! Don’t climb there, idiot!” Eunbi’s ears perked up when she heard Minjoo’s voice.

She turned around, spotting Minjoo from the distance, facing the playground as she shouted at her younger sister to stop doing stuff that Eunbi forbade them to. Her gaze went to Yujin who’s just sticking her tongue out to her older sister. “No! Just climb with me here, Joo!” She said, and even climbed on top of the monkey bars. Meanwhile, Wonyoung just sat beside Minjoo, laughing at Yujin.

Turning to Hyewon, she saw her wife sitting across her, filming her kids with a very bright smile. She frowned a bit. “Oi, Hyewon. Your kid is literally on top of the monkey bar, dancing but you’re filming it instead of scolding her.” She said, and shook her head.

They decided to take a rest at the indoor playground of the mall before they eat lunch, they’ve been strolling for a few hours around now and Yujin kept whining about it so they conceded.

Hyewon just laughed, briefly glancing at her fuming wife. “Bi, there’s nothing wrong with it. Let the pup have fun! Plus, even if she falls, the floor is cushion so no need to worry.” She muttered, and continued filming their kids, giggling when the ever so spoiled Wonyoung followed Yujin to the monkey bar while Minjoo just panics.

Between them, Eunbi is more strict and uptight with the triplets— she won’t deny that but it’s for their safety anyway. While Hyewon is your typical cool mom who doesn’t scold their kid and would just tolerate anything that would make them happy and spoil them— however, she knows where to be serious or not. There were some small arguments about the triplets, of course, because of how they act differently towards their children but it gets resolved in the end anyway.

Eunbi sighed, relaxing when Hyewon made a point and just let them, trying to enjoy watching them although her heart will stop whenever Yujin almost misses some steps. Minjoo turned to them, giving them panicked looks but Hyewon just waved her off and not long after that, Yujin is already dragging Minjoo with her on top of the slides with Wonyoung.

The siblings are seriously different from one another yet there are a lot of similarities too, their qualities are just noticeable among others so you could immediately tell who’s who even though they look alike so much.

Minjoo is the first one who got introduced to the world— she’s also the shortest among the triplets and the most gentle one. She really acts the oldest and would take care of her other sisters. Yujin is the middle, very energetic and loud, adventurous too but a reliable sister. Wonyoung is the spoiled youngest yet tallest, very timid and shy yet could also be sassy.

But all of them are equally smart and skilled, also talented in their own ways.

Hyewon cleared after pocketing her phone, sitting beside Eunbi and grabbed her hand, intertwining their fingers together. The older one just blinked, looking at her.

They never really get to date each other because of their busy schedules and busy with the kids, and they perfectly understand that so they take advantage of their moments like this. The triplets are playing all together while they get left behind, and with that, they will treat that short time as a date and quality time with one another— talking and catching up together.

“So, how’s the café doing?” Hyewon started off, playing with their intertwined hands. Eunbi just leaned closer, resting her head on her wife’s shoulder and settling there comfortably— the scent of vanilla became stronger and she liked it. “Hmm, the usual. We have new drinks. You should stop by tomorrow and get your lunch there. I’ll make you a nice drink.” She offered.

“Hmm, tempting,” Hyewon replied, humming in delight because of the thought. “I’ll take it. I will certainly not be going to reject this offer, free drink~” The younger chirped, happy at the thought of getting a free drink made by her wife herself.

Eunbi giggled, raising their intertwined hands and pressed a kiss on the back of Hyewon’s hand. “How about you? How’s work?” She asked, still has her eyes closed. Her brows furrowed a bit when Hyewon heaved a sigh, must be having a hard time.

“Mr. Park will retire and he said he recommended me to the president. Being a senior manager is already stressing, it looks like I will be the head of our department soon.” The beige haired woman whispered, biting her lower lip as she stared at the plant in front of them, just behind the seat she just sat on earlier. Eunbi finally opened her eyes and faced her wife— she noticed the pressure from her eyes, and stress.

She knows that Hyewon is dealing with a lot of work from the office. Hyewon is workaholic, diligent, and skilled, determined to do her job properly with focus so she could support her family but Eunbi knows how much she suffers from it too. She noticed how Hyewon is often stressed about paperworks and stuff.

Hyewon noticed the sad look from her wife and immediately panicked. “I mean! It’s a very good opportunity. My salary will rise up dramatically and it’ll make our lives easier— especially that our kids are growing up.” She reasoned out, her voice trailing off as her gaze lowered. Eunbi stared at her for a few seconds before sighing, giving the younger woman’s hand a gentle squeeze.

“Hye, you could always reject it if it’s too much for you. It’s alright, your well being and mental health are more important. Our life is comfortable enough,” Eunbi reassured, not wanting for her wife to push herself into her limits.

If Hyewon has a flaw then it’s being selfless— she usually puts family first before herself and Eunbi is having mixed feelings about her putting them as their top priority to the point she will put everything behind and herself as last.

The younger haired woman shook her head, giving her wife a very sweet smile. Eunbi’s heart fluttered. “I can do it. I’m just a little bit pressured? I just need proper training from Mr. Park and I’m good to go.” She responded with a sheepish smile to reassure her but Eunbi is not convinced.

Pouting, Hyewon flashed her puppy eyes and Eunbi tried her best to resist it. “Seriously, Kang-Kwon Eunbi, I could do it. I’m Kang Hyewon after all, your wife who can do almost everything!” She said, even patting her chest to show how mighty she is, and smugly smirked at the older woman who’s just giving her a look.

With one last pleading look from Hyewon, Eunbi slumped her shoulders and sighed in defeat— she couldn’t do anything with Hyewon’s choices anyway, if she’s determined then she couldn’t do about it and just support her, tolerate her. “Fine. But I’ll make you quit your job once it affects your health and time.” She sharply threatened and Hyewon giggled, finding her cute and even pinched her nose with her free hand before ruffling her hair. “Aye, aye, ma’am!” She saluted and grinned at her like an idiot and Eunbi couldn’t suppress a smile.

They stayed like that for another fifteen minutes or so when suddenly the triplets ran to them, whining for food. The couple just laughed and finally complied to their orders, leaving the playground and walked to their favorite restaurant to eat lunch.

“Hyewon, I told you not to spoil our kids too much.” Eunbi nagged, a little bit annoyed as she placed the other toys back to where it belonged. The triplets just pouted as they hugged the toys they badly wanted to have. While Hyewon kept mum, crossing her arms as she watched her wife place back the other stuff their kids placed at the cart.

“Bi, it’s alright,” The taller one said, scratching her head. “Let them pick whatever they want.” She softly said and Eunbi gave her a glare before firmly responding back. “No.” Then looked at the silent triplets, her heart clenched a bit when she saw the sad looks on their faces. “It’s too much and I don’t want them to get spoiled badly. It’ll affect them in the future, I told you that. So, no.” She added before moving again, dragging the cart with toys in it and tried to find where the toys belonged while the four just tailed her.

“Joo… Wonyo… D-Did we overdo it? Mommy looks mad,” The middle among the siblings whispered to her sisters who just gave her a sad gaze. Wonyoung’s lips quivered. “But I-I want those toys too,” She murmured as she watched her mommy put away the toys she happily picked earlier with a broken heart.

Minjoo bit her lower lip, looking at her sisters and comforted them. “Let’s just listen to mommy and just pick toys that we really like, okay?” She said, smiling at them but actually upset too because she badly wanted those stuff she picked earlier however, she understood why Eunbi was mad— they overdid it and took advantage of their mother’s instruction: you can grab anything you want and just dump it on the cart.

“Eunbi.” Hyewon called her wife but the older one didn’t look at her. “I’m not entirely spoiling them.” She clarified and Eunbi turned, giving her a sharp look and a frown. “This is basically spoiling them so much. This is too much.” She pointed out and shook her head in disappointment, pushing the cart again.

Sighing, Hyewon tried for it again. “Darling. I’m not really spoiling them that much— I’m just giving them what they deserve.” She said and it made Eunbi stop, turning to her wife once again and crossed her arms. “What do you mean by that?” She asked with a plain tone.

They argued about it a lot, Hyewon spoiling and tolerating their kids a lot. Eunbi wanted for them to learn how to be responsible and be humble, and also content with what they got while Hyewon wants to always pamper them. It’s not that bad but sometimes, the younger will overdo it— and Eunbi knows because it’s like making everything up for the lack of her presence all day and is only present every morning and night. And she doesn’t like it, because of Hyewon’s spoils— the triplets become whiny whenever they never get everything they wanted, especially Wonyoung who will be upset at her for a day if Eunbi didn’t comply with her wishes.

“Babe, I saw their outstanding marks in school and I heard that they all got perfect in their tests. Wonyoung won that singing contest, Minjoo also became the champion of quiz bee and Yujin got first place at that sprinting match.” Hyewon replied, still sharing eye contact with her wife.

Of course, Hyewon might be busy with work but she’s updated with her kids and wife. The woman never really entirely spoils her kids much but she’s just giving them what they deserve after gaining some accomplishments and stuff like getting good grades so they will strive harder but Eunbi has a different perspective with it.

“That’s a good reason enough to let them pick toys that they want.” The taller added softly, she could never be angry with Eunbi in things like this— heck, they rarely argue or fight. She saw how Eunbi’s eyes softened and a few moments later, the older one averted her gaze from her and looked at their kids who had their heads hung low.

Eunbi gulped, feeling her heart crack— okay, after hearing that valid reason, she felt guilty lashing out like that. “Alright,” She surrendered. “Pick whatever you like but,” She paused and her heart warmed a bit when the three kids’ eyes perked up and started to get brighter. “Know your limits. Don’t always take advantage of us, learn to be responsible and reasonable. Go, pick.” She instructed.

The triplets beamed, running to their mommy and pulled them down so they could give her kisses. Eunbi giggled, sweet angels— she really felt sorry for making them scared earlier. The three also didn’t fail to give Hyewon kisses before running off together away from the aisle. “Yah, don’t run! And come back all together here after twenty minutes!” She yelled and sighed.

Hyewon just chuckled, snaking her arm around Eunbi’s waist and gave her wife a dashing smile— making her blush. “Anyway, I saw some One Piece merch,” She started off. Eunbi’s eyes squinted, of course, she knew that her wife is an avid fan of that anime series. With a sigh, she just nodded and it made Hyewon squeal like a child, pushing the cart while she dragged her to where the One Piece merchandise is located.

They then went into an ice cream parlor because Wonyoung kept pleading her parents to go there because she wanted mint chocolate ice cream. And as usual, the couple complied almost immediately.

“Jinnie-yah, Joo-yah! Why do y'all don't want mint choco!? It's very delish!” Wonyoung retorted, upset as she her ice cream. Minjoo and Yujin just stared at the youngest with a weirded out and disgusting look. “Yah, Woni-ah! It tastes like toothpaste.” Yujin replied back.

Minjoo just gave her an apologetic look, not really wanting to offend her sister more so she just smiled as she continued eating her vanilla flavoured ice cream. Wonyoung huffed, throwing a tantrum because Yujin upset her while the latter just laughed at her expression.

The couple just watched the scene fondly, smiling at each other as the siblings bickered because of that.

Eunbi scooped a spoonful of her ice cream and faced Hyewon who's quietly eating her ice cream while watching Wonyoung throw tissues at Yujin while Minjoo tries to stop the fuming youngest. “Honey, open your mouth.” The older one instructed happily and the beige haired woman turned to her, giving her a look of disapproval.

She only opened when Eunbi gave her a pointed look. Gently, the older one fed her wife happily while the triplets started to whine over their sweet display of affection.

“Mom, let’s play in the arcade!” Yujin suddenly suggested after finishing her ice cream, the other siblings also perked up at the mention of it. Eunbi and Hyewon stared at each other before looking at the triplets. “Sure,”

Eunbi gasped, in awe when the ball that Hyewon shot entered the ring smoothly. She could hear the three girls’ cheers, they were also excited to see their mother’s basketball skills.

Another flawless in.

Suddenly, Eunbi reminisced about their early highschool days where she would watch Hyewon’s basketball match, every single of it— yes, she was once a basketball player. And surely, Hyewon playing basketball is one of the most attractive sights she has ever seen in her entire life.

Eunbi’s mouth formed a perfect circle when Hyewon effortlessly tossed the ball and it entered the ring once again. She then checked out her wife— her eyes shaking as she stared at her.

Hyewon has her sleeves rolled on her elbows, long beige hair tied up into a ponytail, eyes firing in determination, brows a little bit furrowed, and her tongue poking out from her lips as a sign that she’s into it— she looks so insanely attractive and Eunbi could feel herself deflating at the wonderful sight.

Wonyoung noticed that her mommy was in daze and couldn’t help but to call for her attention. She tugged the hem of Eunbi’s shirt. “Mommy,” She softly called. Eunbi hummed, looking at her with curious eyes. “Are you alright? You look red,” She pointed out, and even gestured to her face.

Eunbi’s eyes widened, tilting her head away from Wonyoung’s sight. “Haha! It’s nothing, mommy is okay.” She reassured and the youngest just shrugged, and continued cheering for Hyewon.

In the end, not a surprise that Hyewon got tons of tickets and gave it to the triplets who squealed in happiness when their mom gave it to them. After that, they decided to play some games that they wanted to play.

Eunbi latched to her wife’s side, tiptoeing to whisper something on her ear. “How are you so freaking attractive?” She whispered with a very low yet sultry voice. It made the younger one smirk, snaking her arm around Eunbi’s waist— leaning to her ear. “So smitten for me, my love?” She whispered and it sent shivers down to Eunbi’s spine— she could even feel Hyewon’s lips ghosting over the outline of her earlobe.

“Very much.” The older one honestly responded and Hyewon laughed, pulling her to where their kids are located, mumbling a reply which turned Eunbi into a blushing mess. “Nice, because I am too. I’m so smitten for you, still.”

“Y'all want to ride the carousel?”

The triplets nodded happily, eyes glimmering in excitement as they turned to the huge carousel inside the mall. There are some kids riding it with some parents too, accompanying them.

Hyewon and Eunbi met gazes, the former nodded along, grinning at her. “It's not just for kids, right?” Hyewon asked, looking at the signboard that says adults are also allowed to ride.

Eunbi hummed. “It seemed so,” She muttered, and stared at her wife again who's looking expectedly at her. The older squinted her eyes, feeling off. “You… want to ride it too?” She asked, her voice trailing off. Hyewon nodded and even clapped, her eyes lit up.

Oh, why is she even surprised? Hyewon is literally a kid sometimes and Eunbi doesn't really see anything wrong with that. Her wife is seriously one of a kind, she usually plays along with her kids so they wouldn't feel left out yet find fun with it. Plus, there is nothing wrong, adults could ride too as long as they pay.

“Fine. You accompany the kids.” The older said, opening up her purse and Hyewon's face fell. Minjoo's mouth went agape. “Mother, you'll go with us? Yay!” She excitedly exclaimed, making the other two beam in happiness because their mother will ride it with them.

“Let's ride it all. The five of us, Bi.” Hyewon suddenly retorted, and Eunbi froze for a while, blinking. But before she could even protest, Hyewon dragged her to the booth and immediately paid for five tickets.

With a sigh, Eunbi just followed along— the four of them looked very bright when they entered the carousel. She and Hyewon are too old for this but for the sake of the triplets' and her wife's happiness then so be it.

“I want to ride the tiger!” Yujin yelled, climbing to the tiger and sat there, squealing happily. Minjoo sat on the elephant while Wonyoung on the zebra, they're just close with one another so Eunbi is relieved.

“Babe, you ride the horse and I'll ride the lion!” Hyewon excitedly said and even dragged her to the horse figure, even helping her climb up before settling on the lion just placed beside her— the triplets are just in front of them, giggling and watching them.

The beige haired woman looked really happy and even kept petting the fake lion's head, as she looked around like a five year old kid. Eunbi giggled, watching her wife and triplets fondly.

And not long after, the merry go round started to move in circles, making the triplets and other kids who are riding squeal and yell in happiness. The animal rides are also going up and down, making it more exciting.

Hyewon giggled happily. “Yah, Kang Wonyoung, Kang Minjoo, Kang Yujin! Mother is coming for ya'!” She shouted merrily, and made the triplets squeal. “Ahh! Mother and Mommy are coming for us! Faster, boy!” Yujin yelped, petting the tiger while giggling.

The act made Eunbi laugh, deciding to play along. “Yeah, yeah! Mother and Mommy are coming for you three, so hold on tight!” She shouted and it earned some yelps from the triplets. Wonyoung looked back and stuck her tongue out.

They earned a lot of attention, some were judging, some were amusement. But they couldn't care less because they are genuinely happy that very moment.

Not long after, they got tired of shouting and just rode silently, giggling from time to time, tightening their hold on the pole.

“It's so fun,” Hyewon suddenly commented with a grin before turning to her wife. “Enjoying the ride, honey?” She asked, giggling while patting the lion's head.

Eunbi rolled her eyes, cheekily grinning. “Absolutely.” She replied and they all enjoyed the rest of the ride.

“Surely, they are exhausted.” Hyewon said, chuckling after she glanced behind her, spotting the triplets sleeping soundly on the backseat, leaning to each other. Eunbi laughed softly, nodding while she whipped her phone out to take a picture of their sleeping kids. “Well yeah, they just ran and played around the whole day.”

They are already on the way home, with Hyewon driving the car and Eunbi sitting on the shotgun seat. It’s a peaceful trip since the main causes of noise are in a deep sleep. After getting their dinner and shopping for some groceries, the Kang family decided to go home after a fulfilling fun day.

The moment Minjoo, Yujin, and Wonyoung were settled at the backseat of the Benz, they instantly drifted to sleep. Eunbi noticed that they were already sleepy and wobbly, all energy drained when the night fell. But all in all, they surely had fun, especially that they got their new toys.

Eunbi and Hyewon enjoyed this wonderful day too, also equally happy as their children. Satisfied that they managed to spend their day peacefully, smoothly, and full of joy together before weekdays enter again.

The ride back home was dead silent— Eunbi got exhausted too and even dozed off a bit but she didn't want Hyewon to be left out so she fought her sleep and turned the music up so the atmosphere wouldn’t be heavy and she would feel lively. Eunbi softly sang along to the song, and Hyewon would chuckle from time to time and give her some failed compliments.

The younger one is still having trouble showing her affection through words, but as Eunbi said, actions speak louder than words so it’s more than enough.

Also, Eunbi noticed something off about Hyewon— her wife kept reaching for her back, and would sometimes pat her shoulders then move it on circular motions. She also noticed the discomfort on her face. Eunbi mentally noted to herself to give Hyewon a massage earlier, she deserves it anyway.

After a few minutes, they reached home and Hyewon parked the Mercedes Benz car on their driveway while Eunbi started to wake the kids up, calling for them softly as she unbuckled her seatbelt. The triplets woke up immediately, groggy and still very much sleepy— Yujin even almost tripped on the gutter because she only got her eyes half open.

They entered their cozy and silent house, with Eunbi supporting the kids while Hyewon held the bags and stuff— going back to the car to get the kids’ toys too after placing some shopping bags and grocery bags in the living room.

“Babies, you should wash up and dress up into y’alls pajamas first before you sleep.” Eunbi instructed and led the sleepy triplets to their rooms, letting them wash up and brush their teeth all together while she tidies the room up— it’s not really messy but there were some few trashes and dirty clothes laying around the floor. And after that, she helped them dress up and in the middle of dressing them up, Hyewon entered the room— holding paper bags on her both hands.

She placed it on the corner of the room. “It’s your toys.” She announced and the triplets squealed, running towards the pile of paper bags, thanking their parents once again and the couple just watched them endearingly.

“We’re going to rest now too. If you guys are done unpacking, like before, place the trash all together neatly in the paper bags alright? Do not create a mess and after an hour— go to sleep already. There’s school tomorrow and you three need to wake up early, hmm?” Eunbi instructed and the triplets saluted playfully at her and cheekily smiled before getting their toys once again.

After that, they gave their parents their good night kisses and the couple went to their own room, also tired from walking around and trying to match with their children’s energy— they are seriously getting old.

“I already placed the groceries where it all belonged,” Hyewon muttered as she ed her shirt, eyes a little bit droopy and looking tired. Eunbi hummed, also changing her outfit. “Thank you, love.” She responded with a genuine smile.

They changed into their usual sleeping outfit, and Eunbi picked up their dirty clothes— dumping it on the basket, it reminded her to wash clothes tomorrow morning before her shift before walking to the bathroom. Hyewon already got her toothbrush ready with toothpaste and they did their usual night routine together once again.

The younger one jumped on their bed, plopping her tired body there and let out a soft groan when her body landed on the feather-y mattress, laying down on her stomach. She opened her eyes and watched her wife pace around the room, looking for something. She didn’t say anything though.

“Aha!” Eunbi exclaimed and Hyewon flinched a bit, surprised at the sudden outburst of her wife. She then saw her grabbing something from the drawer and closed it, running to her with a grin and before Hyewon could move— Eunbi already mounted her back, making her groan a bit because of the weight. “What—”

“Shush, my love! I’m going to give you a massage!” The bob haired woman said and uncapped the bottle of the liniment oil. Hyewon snickered. “Don’t you need that more, honey?” She deadpanned and earned a light smack from her wife.

With a defeated sigh, Hyewon just wordlessly rolled her shirt up and let Eunbi do whatever she wanted— plus, a massage doesn’t sound bad at all.

Slowly, Eunbi poured oil around Hyewon’s toned and milky back, she almost got distracted— not going to deny that but she’s determined to make Hyewon feel good and relieved with her massage! To relieve her muscle pain and stress!

“U-Uhh, babe, I think that’s too much.” Hyewon warned, a little bit scared when she felt a lot of oil embracing her back. Eunbi gasped, capping it immediately. “Oops, sorry, got distracted there.” She said, and finally got to work.

While massaging her wife, Eunbi kept blabbering and stuff to keep her and Hyewon entertained but along the way, the younger one didn’t even respond back anymore and it made Eunbi smile— it looks like she got relaxed, like a lot. She could hear Hyewon’s calm breathing and it’s safe to say that she’s already gone to sleep.

Feeling accomplished, Eunbi went off Hyewon and wiped her oily hands after pulling her wife’s shirt down then turned the lights off and went to the other side of the bed. She actually doesn’t feel sleepy anymore, maybe she’ll read this novel she had been reading.

When she settled beside Hyewon, she the lamp and grabbed the book resting on the coffee table beside the bed. However, before she could even open the page she book marked, Hyewon suddenly shifted closer to her and wrapped her arm around her waist and muttered, “Thank you.”

Eunbi giggled, Hyewon’s long beige hair as she placed her book away. “I thought you were asleep.” She retorted, and the younger one opened her eyes, meeting gazes with her wife and sat up properly. “Yeah, I dozed off because it felt nice.” She answered and side-hugged her wife, providing her warmth and Eunbi hugged back as they leaned to the headboard.

Silence. A very peaceful and comfortable silence. It’s quite nice, just feeling each other’s heart beat and calm breathing as they provide warmth to one another. Eunbi could feel herself dozing off when she heard Hyewon quietly saying something.

“I love you.”

Eunbi laughed a bit, tightening her hold. “I love you too.” She said and faced Hyewon, crawling on her and straddled her lap— caressing her face with both hands as they stared at each other so lovingly.

Slowly, Eunbi leaned in and Hyewon met her halfway, also eager as her.

It was sweet at first, but along the way, Hyewon deepened the kiss as she pulled her wife closer to her— sighing in satisfaction in the middle of the kiss while Eunbi moved her other hand to let her fingers massage Hyewon’s scalp and the other caressed her jaw.

The younger one moved her hands too, wandering and slipped inside Eunbi’s oversized shirt, resting the one on her side while the other one s on her back, gently moving her fingers along with her spine which made Eunbi shudder.

She let out a soft and small whimper when Hyewon started to trail butterfly kisses along her jaw to before the younger pulled her for another passionate kiss and gently nipped on her lower lip.

Not long after, Hyewon flipped their position and now, she’s on top— pressing another kiss on Eunbi’s lips and neck then she settled on her chest, resting there comfortably. The older one giggled, babying her.

“Good night, Eunbi.”

“Good night, Hyewon.”

It’ll be another long day tomorrow.
