Aren't EXO one group? What's EXO-K and EXO-M?

Basically, EXO is divided into two groups, EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K is consisted of Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai and Sehun and promotes in Korea, hence K. EXO-M is made up of Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Lay, Chen and Tao and promotes in China, therefore M. Overall, though, they are just one big group.
