“I didn’t sign up to raise kids with Jihyo or Mina!” Sana breathed to herself. 

She knew that Dahyun was busy; she knew that when Dahyun and Nayeon established the engineering firm together for themselves that it was going to be a lot. But she didn’t realize she would be spending so many nights and days alone. They quit in their old firms, and decided to start up their own. Dahyun had been busy working with designs, costings and contractors, while Nayeon works with their investors and other things Dahyun can’t handle. 

“Kim Donghyun, I swear if you don’t stop pulling your sister’s hair!”

“She started it!” The nearly six year old boy said.

“She is three, how did she start it?”

“Because Mommy, she won’t…” the boy paused as if he was thinking.

She opened her texts and typed.

Hey, anyway you can help with these rugrats a while? They sure miss their Auntie?

 

“Sounds to me like you are having an awfully hard time to think right there, Donghyun-kun…” Sana got up from her table and lifted the little girl into her arms. “Yuka-chan” She kissed her hair. “Is brother picking on you?”

“Eomma?” Yuka asked for Dahyun.

“I know, I want Eomma too,” Sana sighed.

“Where is she?” Donghyun asked.

“Working, she and Aunt Nayeon had to get something finished then she will be on her way.”

Her phone buzzed in her hand, and she checked it, sitting down with Yuka on her lap.

Yeah, of course. You at home or your office? Where is Dahyun?

I am at the office, trying to finish my plates with them is impossible, and I have that deadline next week… my client will kill mee… and this alien inside me. So… yeah my life is impossible at the moment.

 

“Can we go home now?” Donghyun asked.

“I can’t but Aunt Jihyo is going to come get you and I am sure she will take you home, or to her house…”

“Her house! Her house! Her house!” Donghyun chanted.

“We will see when she gets here.”

“Is Eomma there?” Yuka asked.

“No honey, Eomma is at work.”

“Okay” She sighed.

“I know, me too” Sana said. Kissing the little head…. “Me too.”

“Thank you for coming to get them, Jihyo” Sana said as she handed her best friend a bag with some stuff for both kids in it.

“You’re welcome. I love these children, you know that!”

“I do, but this is the third time this week you have had to take them for me, and I just… thank you.”

“Hey, don’t you worry… Your house or mine?”

“YOURS!!” Donghyun said excitedly, pulling on Jihyo’s arm.

“That is up to you, you know Donghyun loves your place, but I may not be home till late. My wife says she will be home in ‘two hours max’”

“So four” Jihyo nods, “Got it. Well, I will take them to my place. We will make dinner… I have pjs there. They have their beds.”

“Though they always end up in yours”

“You can’t say ‘no’ to these faces!”

“I do” Sana nodded, then kissed Donghyun, and handed Yuka to Jihyo.

“I will let Dahyun know to text you about pick up.” Sana said. “Thank you!”

“Of course, I love it” Jihyo hugged her friend, “And you, how is my littlest in there?”

“Little still. Long time to cook.” She smiled.

“Call me if you need me.” Jihyo said.
