Two days.

When he drove home from the vintage cars showcase with his friends, it sounded far away. He ignored the conversations in the car as he looked out the window, replaying the events that transpired earlier today.

Chan had felt slighted this morning, due to the fact that his friends backed out on two promises to let him drive their restored car and worst case, sit in the passenger's seat on the way to the showcase. Walking around to check out the other restorations helped him forget about his friends for a moment and in the process, he ran into a pretty girl who happened to share an interest in old cars and restorations. It turns out she had been looking for a fun car for the weekends and she made an offer on their restoration, the catch being he had to drive it one last time before she came to take ownership.

He had struggled to fall asleep as he replayed the events in his mind, smiling as his fingers traced his cheek where she had kissed him earlier today. The red lipstick mark was long gone, but the memory of the kiss lingered.

"Earth to Channie!" Jun called.

Byeongkwan turned in his seat and smirked when he saw the youngest was looking off in the distance, fingers touching his cheek. He waved his hand to try to get Chan's attention and commented that the young man was lovesick.

"A pretty girl talks to him, kisses him, and basically asks him out on his first date," Byeongkwan teased. "He's too busy thinking about their wedding and future children."

Chan snapped out his daze and flushed as his elders about Addy. "Stop it," he warned. "She's amazing and I can't wait for the handoff day. Sorry, what were you guys talking about?"

Jun looked up from pouring himself a mug of coffee and repeated his suggestion that he take Chan out to drive the car for practice. "You don't know stick shift very well, so it's safe to have you practice before you take your lady out on your first date."

"It's not a date!" Chan insisted.

"She asked you out, it's a date," Byeongkwan shot back with an amused look. "I think this is his first date."

"Who are we talking about?" Seyhoon asked as he came into the trio's shared townhouse. He put down a box of donuts from the local shop and Jun asked him why he was late.

"The line was super long," Seyhoon protested, "but I got the strawberry donuts! Anyone?"

Chan nodded and lifted the lid. His hand hovered over the donuts and he picked one that was medium sized. He the glaze off his fingers and placed it on his plate.

Jun thanked him as he brought his coffee cup over and Byeongkwan grabbed a donut and took a bite.

"The girl who bought our car," Jun explained. "We were saying that she basically asked Channie out on his first date."

Seyhoon snapped his head up at the announcement and Chan ducked his head, muttering that his elders were making too big of a fuss about it.

"It's a big deal Channie," Byeongkwan insisted. "Aww the baby's all grown up!"

Once they finished with breakfast, Seyhoon suggested the guys practice with his car, versus putting too many extra miles on the one they sold. Originally it was going to be just Chan and Jun driving, but then it turned into Seyhoon accompanying them in the backseat. Byeongkwan had planned to join them, but he got a call from a co-worker with a question about a particular document she couldn't locate.

"Okay remember, the shift operates differently than an automatic car," Jun began as he pointed to the stick shift.

Chan turned the keys in the ignition and glanced over at the older boy. "I know how to drive stick hyung. Why do you think I asked to drive the car to the showcase?" He turned his attention back to the front, looked in his mirrors, and shifted to drive before pulling out of the parallel park and driving through the neighborhood. They went down some side streets in the neighborhood and Jun added they should go a little further where the cinema was.

For the most part, the drive was quiet and Jun seemed pleased with the youngest's driving skills.

Seyhoon relaxed in the back seat and looked out the window as they passed strip malls and plazas with various businesses. His gaze drifted up to the front and he asked Chan how he was planning to dress tomorrow.

"Shirt, jeans, and Converse," Chan answered as he signaled a lane change. He stopped behind the car in front of him, giving himself plenty of room.

The older boy winced slightly, which prompted Jun to turn around and look at Seyhoon. The former shook his head and murmured that Chan was dressing like he always did.

"Seyhoon," Chan warned.

"It's a date Channie," Seyhoon reminded him. "You always dress like this – don't you have a tux or something?"

Chan raised a brow in the rearview mirror and demanded to know why his hyung was suggesting a tux of all things. "I'm taking her to lunch! Not Prom!"

Jun propped his arm on the top of the seat cushion and added that a tuxedo was too formal. "Channie's right, he's meeting her in the early afternoon and that's a little over done."

Chan carefully turned the wheel and steered the car into the plaza where the local cinema was. "Thank you Jun-hyung. Before we do anything else, do we need to stop anywhere?"

Jun bit his lip as he tried to remember if he needed anything. Seyhoon shook his head and declared that he was planning to meet a new client once they got back to the townhouse.

The mention of a new client made Jun and Chan look curiously at the other boy.

"Met them at the showcase and they liked the customization on the car," Seyhoon explained. "I agreed to meet with them on their Aston Martin."

Chan's eyes widened and he let out a low whistle as he pictured the pricey car. "Whoa that's a nice brand. You know the year?"

Seyhoon shook his head and confessed that the client didn't say much, other than it was a family car that needed a new paint job.

"Channie, I don't need anything," Jun spoke up, "but we should get gas in the car before tomorrow, you know so your lady has a full tank?"

Chan nodded and he shifted the car to Drive, checking carefully as he exited the plaza.

"Were you able to help her?"

"Who?" Byeongkwan asked.

"Your co-worker," Jun reminded him.

Byeongkwan nodded and sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I had to give her step by step instructions to find the document. She kept going to the wrong cabinet for it. That took longer than it needed." He turned in his seat and asked how the driving lesson went.

Jun flashed him a thumbs-up and said Chan was a natural. "I didn't have to give any guidance. He should be all set for tomorrow...ah wait! Gas!" He went looking for Chan who was in his room, chatting with Addy over texts.

Addy

Tomorrow's the day.

Chan

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. Should I swing by and come pick you up?

Addy

Actually one of my other friends offered to drop me off while she's on her way to pick up her niece from karate.

Is 2 PM okay?

Chan looked up when he saw Jun standing in the doorway. "Oh hey Jun-hyung! Addy wants to know if she can come over at 2 PM to pick up the car. Is that okay?"

Jun nodded and jabbed his thumb at the door behind him. "I was going to get gas in the car – did you wanna drive or should I drive?"

Chan sat up and quickly typed back that 2 PM was fine. He pocketed his phone and followed the older boy to the garage where the car was being kept.

"I'll drive," Chan added once they unlocked the car. He slid into the driver's seat and fastened his seat belt.

Jun got in on the other side and secured his seat belt. He retrieved the garage door opener and clicked it once to get the door open.

The guys drove around, checking gas stations for the best price. Jun spotted one station near a popular BBQ rest
