His Beginning
The Three Little Pigs
The minute hand on the wall clock moved so slowly. I wasn’t listening to what the others were saying about. I only knew that we were all in a really big circle, playing ice-breaking games. Till now, I can’t even remember what games we played exactly. I only remember that there were a lot of moving and shifting. My memory is failing me.
I sat in the circle, watching the others having fun. My eyes flickered to a tough-looking guy. His uniform didn’t seem to fit his strong build. The sleeves wrapped around his biceps, and I could see his toned body. Yet, he didn’t look a bit intimidating. There was a foolish grin on his face. I thought that he would make a good friend.
Lunch break came later, but I didn’t have a chance to speak to him yet. I proceeded to the canteen, and I found Jinwoon and Howon already seated at the table. Joining them was another boy whom I hadn’t seen before. Jinwoon waved me over.
“How’s it going so far?” Jinwoon asked.
I shrugged then turned and left to join the queue. I returned shortly after with my plate full of food.
“Who’s that new guy there?” I whispered to Jinwoon as soon as I sat down.
“Oh, he’s Howon’s new friend, Minho.”
I nodded my head. I was surprised actually. I had initially thought that it would be Jinwoon who would make the first friend. Howon was usually quiet so I really didn’t expect that.
“I’m Lee Sungyeol, nice to meet you.”
“Choi Minho,” He flashed a smile. “It’s nice to meet you too!”
