❀ Work From Home ❀
Perfect Imperfections [one-shots]Putting on his red suit with a floral pattern, Heechul smoothened the fabric of his shirt and checked his appearance in the mirror once again. It had been too long since he looked like a human and finally, today he got to dress up for work. This quarantine was killing him, both mentally and physically. People were going nuts and the situation did not seem to be better soon. He had been staying home for almost a week and a half without doing anything productive. Haeun's preschool had been following the recommendation to conduct online learning and the first few days were total madness. Haeun kept whining for being bored and the tasks given by her teachers were left for him to finish. Jungsoo—oh dear—could barely help him with Haeun because he was transitioning from managing the resort back to the main hotel. And doing that in this situation was not favorable. It was super stressful and one good thing he was glad was that he took the right decision to give his employees a week off following the outbreak news. If not, he might have gone insane for sure.
But this morning, however, he was getting ready for getting back to work because, after a long decision-making meeting last night with a few of the managers and his secretaries, they finally came to the decision that they had to start working in the current condition as best as they could because the orders were piling up. It was the weekend but he needed to give his staff some notices and thankfully, they did not mind working on Saturday.
He massaged his stiff neck and groaned. Last night, his husband wanted to have a drink together after Haeun was asleep. But it ended up with them being hella wasted. It was not a wise decision—he gulped down the hangover drink—because this morning when he woke up, his head throbbed like hell. It was a wonder how he managed to shower and put on his clothes. He sighed and glanced back to the sleeping man on the bed. Jungsoo was still sleeping soundly, curling under the blanket. He got up and slowly walked to him. Sitting on the edge of the bed, he bent down and placed a kiss on his husband's temple.

"No worries, Henry-ah. It's hilarious actually."
Heechul assured one of his staff whose dog decided to act up in front of the camera, bothering him. The other people in the meeting also found it funny although Henry still seemed to be feeling bad about it. Albeit the fit of laughter echoing from his laptop slowly died down, Heechul suddenly got nervous. He glanced at the clock and it was just about time before—
"M-mama."
—Haeun woke up.
Heechul had purposely chosen to do the meeting in the dining room because where else was he supposed to? His room with his husband, half-, in the background?
"Excuse me for a second. My daughter wakes up."
After muting his call, Heechul asked Haeun to come closer and hugged his daughter, kissing her cheek.
"Good morning, Haeunie. Are you hungry? Mama has made some peanut butter sandwiches in the kitchen. Go eat."
Haeun rubbed her eyes sleepily, examining her environment, and her attention was immediately drawn to the squares of people on Heechul's laptop screen. She stared at the screen with wide-eyes for the longest time that people started cooing at her. Heechul secretly smiled; he always loved when people adored his daughter like this. He lifted Haeun's body and put her on his lap. He unmuted his call and asked his daughter to greet his staff.
"Say hi, Haeunie."
"Hi, Haeunie."
"No, I mean. That's—"
Heechul could not help but laugh at his daughter's cute mistake. And his employees had gone crazy on it too. He ruffled her hair and asked her to do it again.
