unto the seas

take me beyond shore

far across the ocean lining

where we find home in the north star

carrying unbruised spirits, shots of whiskey

— while laughing;

curiosity keeps the ship afloat

seeking something braver than

the footsteps on deck

hoping that this adventure would be

more than just a shipwreck
