2010   “Unnie, I want to be your girlfriend.”  Hearing this from a sweet little girl sitting infront of her, Taeyeon choked from her hot Oolong tea. “You what?” “I said I want to be your girlfriend!”  Despite feeling taken back, Taeyeon just patted the girl’s head and chuckled. “Yah! How can I date a 15-year-old girl…”    After debut, Taeyeon always visited her hometown once every 3 months - just to stay sane from all the stress and overwhelming schedule. Visiting her hometown, she felt great from her family’s warmth, great foods (no diet at least), and particularly…a visit from her neighbor’s kid. That one mischievous girl. Jung Wheein.    Wheein would show her around - making sure she won’t miss a thing about Jeonju. Staying away from spotlight, she felt more like herself over here. What she liked most is she would get to enjoy the snacks with Wheein. Sometimes Wheein even brought her friend around too who was expert in food hunting, her name was Hyejin.   Debuting at such young age, Taeyeon didn’t really get to make much friends from school, therefore she was only interact within her neighborhood. She wasn’t dumb, she knew very well that Wheein was her admirer. There’s times Wheein would say that she want to be her girlfriend, and Taeyeon just laughed off and it made her cutely throw tantrum around.   After 2009 or during SNSD’s turning point, the schedule got so tight that she barely visited anymore. Due to some crazy promise without thinking from years ago with Wheein, Taeyeon would stop by her hometown at least once every 6 months.      2011   “Happy Chuseok!” Taeyeon cheered with her family. This year was pretty special as Taeyeon get to spend Chuseok with her family - which was pretty rare. Usually she would be packed with schedule, but this year, she already excused herself…plus she remembered her mother’s word very well, “If you do not come home this year, I will seriously cut you off from our family.” it was both funny, and serious.  Her family was very closed with Wheein’s family - so the family also joined the dinner. I always send you SNSD albums with all the member’s sign…What else do you want?” Taeyeon acts frustrated, and it made everyone laugh.  “Unnie…I am 2NE1 fan, can you get me their albums with sign?” Wheein asked innocently. At the time, Taeyeon didn’t know if she should kick the girl or flip the table.    That night, while everyone was still celebrating…Taeyeon washed the dishes at the kitchen, and Wheein came to help.  “You are here to bother me again?” Taeyeon scoffed. “Aye…I am here to help.” Wheein then joined in quietly, and washed the dishes beside Taeyeon.  “So what do you want for the gift?” Taeyeon was able to calm herself down from the scenario 30 minutes ago after her mother tried to suppress her.  “I… I want to date you, unnie!” Wheein winked at Taeyeon. “Funny. I do not date minor, kid.”  “FINE! After each trip, somebody is always smiling.” Yuri added, and it earned a glare from Taeyeon.  “Funny.”  “Next time, bring me there with you!” Tiffany asked with her irresistible eye-smiles.     2012   Right after year-end performance, Tiffany still followed Taeyeon around saying that she had nowhere to visit as her family was in the U.S- leaving Taeyeon no choice but to bring her along to Jeonju.
