Running at the staircase is the biggest regret that I did. Now how can I participate in the track now? The track meet is nearing, how could I join when I have a cast on me and a crutches beside me? Its my last year in high school, and this is really happening now? Now, my plans are all ruined. One of my goals for this last year of mine is to grab the top place at the track meet.

I should be at the track field to practice for the upcoming competition but here I am sulking at the hospital. Looking at the cast and crutches makes me frown.

If only I didn’t get excited over that someone nothing of this will happen. But then I’m just a high school student and can get excited over something or someone.

“Didn’t I tell you to erase that frown from your face?” I guess I’m thinking deeply that I didn’t noticed that someone walked in, “Chae” I said pouting at her

“Now, now. Don’t give me that look” She said placing the bag of food at the table beside my bed, “Can’t I really remove the cast now and be back at the track team?” I asked looking at her sadly

“You can’t, the doctor said that it needs to be healed before removing that. And even if you removed that you still need a month of healing for you to be able to run again” She explained while peeling an orange and feeding me one,

“So you better obey all those prescription, and drink the medicines your doctor told you so that you can heal faster. The faster you heal the faster you can go back on running again” She said patting my head before sitting at the bed with me. I can only nod, there’s nothing I can do but to obey then.

“Hey,” She said grabbing my attention, she held my hand and said. “I know you want to run again and be in the competition and grab the trophy, but be patient okay?” holding my hand tightly “Well, I guess that’s the only thing I can do for now” I said now looking at her

“Don’t be sad, I’ll be here by your side to take care of you so you can heal faster” She said assuring me. Gosh what did I do in my past life that I’m having this privilege to have Chaeyeon beside me. Thinking about it makes me blush,

“Better be since this is all your fault” I said crossing my arm in front of my chest “And why is it my fault? Who says to you to run downstairs to meet me excitedly?” She asked mocking me, gosh this girl

“Hmp! Is it a mistake to be excited to meet my girl after a week of not seeing each other, since she’s been out of the town” It should be a question but then dropped it and sulk not looking at her.

I didn’t hear a retort since she didn’t speak after that but then I feel her scoot over and now I didn’t even notice that we are now cuddling, luckily the bed is enough for two. “It’s an impulsive one than a mistake” She finally start talking

I looked up to her waiting for her to continue, I’m pouting now since I know that she’s right. Argh! Why did I even run???? I should have walk normally since I know that she will just wait for me at the end of the stairs. “Cute” She said and continue what she’s saying,

“You’re a runner Bi, the most important part of a runner is their feet. You should have thought of those before you start dashing down. You know that I am just there waiting for you arms wide open. But instead of that you welcomed me rolling down and clutching to your left foot”

She stopped and kissed the crown of my head.

Why is Chae so sweet?? Tell me please!!! I’m glad that she can’t see my face now since I’m blushing really hard. She really knows how to talk, but it takes her a long time to ask me out.

“I know, I know. That’s why I am repenting now, and it's my fault that’s why I can’t run now” I said, “You know what, the day of the track meet is also the day your cast will be removed which means that you only have two weeks with your cast” She said that makes me looked at her eyes wide open

“Really? So that means I can still go at the meet? Though I will just be there to watch and not run” I said sadly going back to her embrace, “Yes, you know that there’s a college for that right? And besides this is only the first meet this year there’s still like another 2 meets for you to join. So don’t sulk and frown everytime I come here” She said, so tell me what can I do without Chae beside me?

“You’re the best Chae, really!” I said, “Nah, you are! I have the best and the hottest track girl beside me” She said proudly that makes me hit her. While she just laughed contagiously that makes me join her. Chae have the best laugh for me.

She’s younger than me yet she thinks like she’s the older one between us. Chae is as caring as you can ever imagine. I’m really lucky to have her as my girlfriend.
