You were a crazy one. 
I was a bookworm. 
You were a jock. 
I was cold. 
You were warm.

You were outgoing. True opposites we were. But, like the popular saying goes, opposites attract. I never quite understood why you stared at me so often. Or why you tried to talk to me. But one day, I guess you mustered all your courage up and decided to talk to me. It was like winning the jackpot. We hit it off as if we knew each other for years. I didn't mind. I felt happy being with you. A new friend is always great to have. We were golden. Everyone knew who we were and what we had. I guess they envied us in a way. Some people disapproved of us, as if that even mattered. You were my best friend, and I cared for you. You listened to me when I needed it most and you were always there to make me laugh whenever I felt like crying. You tickled me to death so I wouldn't be mad at you anymore. You did so many silly things, and I took that all with a grain of salt back then. I wish we could have that back, but I know we can't. I'm so sorry for messing everything up for us. You were growing on me. You were like a fungus. Ah. Bad simile. I'm sorry. I couldn't think of anything else to refer to you as. Why am I apologizing? You won't ever see this.
