One drag and one sip, then repeat. A mantra of self indulgence. It was a Sunday night, they were supposed to be asleep in their respective houses. However, the rebellion of their youth screamed for some danger. So here they sat, the sky is painted black with freckles of white. The Newport’s sickeningly sweet aroma filling the small creeks air. The two females sitting in silence. The sounds of huffing and puffing out the toxic air conflicting with the serenity of the night sky. Tonight’s moon on full display. 

“I was terrified my old man would catch me sneaking out.”

The younger of the two speaks, the older girl just looks ahead. The creeks swirling dark blue water filling her thoughts. The older one, a self proclaimed veteran to this game. Providing the cigs and the gin,

The chipper voice broke her thoughts momentarily,

“Huh?”

The younger one just chuckled and put her cigarette out. As instinct the freshly-dyed-black-haired girl pulled out another one. This causing the younger auburn haired girl to wave her hand dismissively,

“I was thinking of the day we met Sooyoung.”

She smiled brightly at the memory,

“I remember, it’s ironic now huh?”

The younger girl now fiddling with her sweater agreed leaning into Sooyoung,
