The Sons are solemnly eating their palatable dinner in their home. The head of the patriarchy is leisurely munching a piece of his Italian pot roast while staring intently at her eldest child, Chaeyoung. "I heard Seungwan already introduced her girlfriend to the family," he uttered, which made Chaeyoung stopped eating her skillet lamb chops. Chaeyoung heavily gulped, "Girlfriend?" she asked. She can barely give a glance at her father. "Yes, girlfriend," Mr. Son sternly assured, gaze still at her daughter. "That's.. great," Chaeyoung said, and drinks the sangria given to her by their manservant. Mr. Son hummed in response, "I wonder when you will introduce that Mina girl to us," Chaeyoung almost spat her drink infront of her mom. "And I also know that she's the reason why you can't leave Seoul," he added. "Dad.. I—" she stuttered, panic and fear obviously plastered on her face. "Chaeng, we already know," this time, her mother spoke while smiling sweetly at her. "We want to meet her," her father said while putting a lobster chowder in his bowl, "this forthcoming spring, we will have a short vacation in Italy because I'll be meeting a friend at Vernazza, bring her with us," he added. Chaeyoung has no other choice. Her dad is flinty in nature, and every decision he makes are irrevocable. She can now imagine what will happen this spring— and she doesn't like it. She sighed in defeat. "Alright, I'll ask her. But.. how did you know?" Chaeyoung sighed, it has been months but she haven't informed Mina about this small trip to Italy and meeting her parents. She is in deep thought, thinking about how she's gonna tell Mina about it. The older one would probably go nuts because she has a lot of work to do in the firm and leaving it behind is a terrible idea. Chaeyoung messes her hair in frustration and decided to fetch Mina at the firm to talk about it while eating at a resto. "Why aren't you eating your perch?" Mina asked while pouring a water in Chaeyoung's glass. Mina is completely aware that something is bothering her cub. She knows her so well that she can tell what she's doing even if her eyes were closed. Chaeyoung sighed, "I'm not hungry," Mina raised a brow, "But aren't you the one who said you want to eat outside?" Chaeyoung sighed again, "Mina.. let's go to Italy," she finally said it. Mina was completely taken aback that she almost choke, "What?" she asked, hoping that she heard it wrong because she has a pile of works to do. "You see.. my parents wanted to meet you," Chaeyoung awkwardly smiled. This time, Mina really choked on her food. Chaeyoung panicked and immediately gives Mina a glass of water to ease her. "Chaeng you—" Chaeyoung hastily wave her hands, "It's not my fault, I didn't told nor forced them, I swear—" Mina narrowed her eyes, "Chaeyoung as much as I want to meet your parents but I can't, you know I have a lot of work to do," she sighed. Work is just another excuse, the reason why she doesn't want to because she's not ready. What if Chaeyoung's parents wouldn't like her? what if she disappoints them? a lot of dreading thoughts are circling in Mina's head right now. She heard a lot of things about Chaeyoung's parents, especially her dad— his notability and power. "Please," Chaeyoung begs.
