They had reached LA a day before KCON was to take place. And right now they found themselves exploring the city late at night.
"Isn't it been a while since we spend some time together? Just the two of us?", Jihyo asked.
"That's right. It's really been a while with all our schedules. I really missed this", Jeongyeon replied.

These two had just started going out together after crushing on each other (mind you not so subtely) for a long time.
Jihyo and Jeongyeon kept on reminiscing their memories and talked about how Nayeon messed up or did something stupid. They loved their Nayeon unnie even if they won't straight up admit it and she was the most talked about topic in their conversation.

They finally reached a beautiful secluded place where not many people were wandering.
"You know you never told me how and when you started crushing on me.", Jeongyeon suddenly spoke, surprising Jihyo.
Jihyo knew she had never told Jeongyeon about the crush on her. She racked her brain trying to find out how Jeongyeon found out about this.

'Nayeon unnie! Aah seriously! She can never keep a secret with her.' Jihyo remembered telling Nayeon about this back in their trainee days. She reminded herself to give Nayeon a nice lecture on not spilling her secrets to others.

"Earth to Jihyo. If you are thinking about giving an earful to Nayeon unnie, you can forget that. She didn't share anything else other than the fact that you had a crush on me since trainee days. You know after I shared about me crushing on you in my beautiful proposal speech, one would've expected you to do the same.", Jeongyeon said with a pout.

Jihyo blushed remembering the day Jeongyeon proposed to her. It was on the top of her 'Best days of my Life' list. At the same time, she was amazed at how Jeongyeon could read her mind. 'Guess it's time I tell her about it.', Jihyo thought with a sigh.

"It was during the monthly evaluation that we had to go through as trainees. I had always admired how easily charming you were. Everything you did screamed girl crush." Jihyo giggled making Jeongyeon smile. "You looked intimidating but you've always been kind and generous to others. Remember you did poorly in the evaluation and you got scolded a lot? Yet you were there wiping tears of other trainees and being your dorky self just so that you can bring smile on their faces. That's when I first noticed you and from thereon I kept on paying attention to those small subtle gestures of kindness. It wasn't deliberate. You just popped in front of me. Even in a room full of people, my eyes could easily find you. I came early to the training centre after school just so that I can see you entering. And I left the centre only after you had left. I paid attention to everything you did to find out about your likes and dislikes.That's how whipped I was for you."

Jihyo hadn't looked at Jeongyeon even once during the whole time. She was afraid that Jeongyeon would think of her as a crazy fangirl. She decided to stealthily peek at Jeongyeon and found her looking at her with fond eyes. Her eyes were Jihyo's favourite. She could express so many feelings through them. And right now, the only expression Jihyo could find in those eyes were of love. She was so drawn into Jeongyeon's eyes that she didn't see them coming closer.

Jeongyeon was ectsatic and stunned listening to Jihyo's confession. At that moment, she found Jihyo looking no less than a goddess with the city lights making her face glow up. She was mesmerised by Jihyo's beauty when she turned to look at Jeongyeon. Without a second thought, Jeongyeon leaned towards Jihyo's face to kiss her.

A second later, their lips collided and both were pretty surprised by this. Yet they didn't pull apart. It was slow, beautiful and intoxicating. They concluded in their respective minds that they didn't need drugs to get high. Kissing the other was enough.

They stood silently beside each other leaning on the railing overlooking the city with a smile on their lips. It wasn't their first kiss but it definitely felt like one. After a moment Jeongyeon nudged Jihyo and said, "Can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead.", Jihyo nodded.
"How am I as a kisser?" Jeongyeon's cheeks had flushed red after asking that question.
Jihyo was amused by the sight in front of her. "Why are you asking me that?"
"Yesterday Sana kept on teasing me saying I must be poor at kissing and I should take lessons from the Master Minatozaki herself.", Jeongyeon said rolling her eyes. Jihyo couldn't help but laugh. These two were like Tom and Jerry. Their day wouldn't pass by without throwing shades at each other.
"So did you take private lessons from her?", Jihyo asked still laughing.
"Maybe ?" Jeongyeon replied sheepishly. "More like she forced me to take those traumitising lessons. She said something about being perfect." Jihyo laughed hard at this.
"Seriously though, how am I as a kisser? Am I good, bad, average? Were those lessons of any use?", Jeongyeon kept on rambling on.
Suddenly Jihyo held her face firmly in place and placed a soft kiss on her lips.

She pulled apart, looked at Jeongyeon with fond eyes and said, "You don't need to put efforts to be perfect. Just be yourself and you'll be perfect for me."
Jeongyeon couldn't help but smile. Suddenly her smile turned into a playful grin, "Watch me boast to Sana about this! Ha! She and her stupid lessons can go to hell!" Jihyo smacked her arm while laughing.

It was 2 in the morning. They linked arms and made their way back to the hotel.
