Chapter One: "We've met"

Take Me Home

Taylor's POV

"And this is the gym." Hyung-Joon says, giving me a toothy grin as I stare in awe at the huge hall.

"Wow..." I breathe. It was huge! "This is incredible.." Hyung-Joon laughed at me and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"It's nothing too special. Just a big room." I smiled at how casual he was about it. He'd lived here for almost two decades longer than me. I guess he didn't understand how different it was in England.

"For you," I began, smiling, as I reminisced on cramped, sweaty Phys Ed classes back home. "We were all thrown into a gross, hall which was the size of two classrooms to do sports. This is a huge leap."

He nodded and took my hand to drag me through more of the University.

"Gaja!"

I should probably introduce myself, and you're probably wondering what the heck is even going on right now, don't worry, time will tell.

I'm Taylor! A 19 year old British transfer student to Korea. I like to think that I'm pretty cool, 19 years old, moving to South Korea alone to study Computer Science. I love learning, unlike most people my age, I left school in England with flying colours, but their universities didn't cut it for me. I wanted something more...Okay maybe the prices swayed my decision ever so slightly, I mean, it's so cheap to rent here! Anyways, I wanted something more from my next stage of education, and Korea looked like the place to be; and let me tell you. I was so right.

As soon as I stepped off the plane, I knew I was where I was meant to be. I lugged my two suitcases and backpack onto the subway and beelined for my apartment building. The hour it took me to get from the airport to my apartment is blurry. I was so excited!

But it wasn't all that it cracked up to be.

I opened the door to my apartment, which got stuck when it opened. That was probably my first clue that this apartment wasn't what I'd seen in the pictures. The door creaked open, it was dark, however as my eyes adjusted, all I could see was a dingy, funny smelling, spooky apartment. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the furniture looked like it had came fresh out of the 1830's. I could have cried. I paced around the apartment for a while, furiously scrolling through motels on my phone. I had alot of extra cash from a job I worked in England.

So that was where I was staying until now.

"And this is the--" Hyung-Joon was swiftly interrupted by the school chime. "Nevermind. We need to goto class, where are you?" I showed him my timetable and he grinned. "Thats my class!"

I quietly sighed, happy that I didn't have to stumble through the corridors on my own trying to find my class.

Hyung-Joon drags me through the corridors, however a deep voice yelling brings him to a halt. "Yah! Hyung-Joon-ah!" I spin around and see tall guy slowly jogging up to us. He's cute too.

"Who is this?" He says in Korean, looking skeptical as he scans me from head to toe.

"This is, Taylor, shes a transfer!" Hyung-Joon says enthusiastically at the guy. He glares at me. I put my head down and slightly get behind Hyung-Joon.

"Whatever."

Hyung-Joon looks quizzically at the other guy and shakes his head.

"Taylor this is Jung-min. Park Jung-min." He squeezes my hand in a reassuring fashion.

"Nice to meet you, Jung-min-ssi." I bow my head and he scoffs.

"English? Atleast you know how to greet properly." I look at the floor. His intimidating manner automatically sets off an alarm in my head. An alarm which tells me to stay away from Park Jung-min. He swiftly takes a spot next to Hyung-Joon, and I'm left to walk behind. I take my position and follow Hyung-Joon to class.

The door is already open and most people are already seated. I did join in the second semester after all. Jung-min walks in and Hyung-Joon holds me back.

"Don't worry about him, that's just how he is." I nod and follow him inside. He sits down and the teacher pulls me up front of the class. Nobody seems to notice as they're all infatuated with the five guys in the back corner, two of them being Hyung-Joon and Jung-min.

"Class! Attention! Please!" The teacher booms. "We have a new student joining us. Will you share your name." I look around, all of the students are staring at me. Hyung-Joon is grinning, Jung-min is glaring and all of the girls seem to be giggling.

"Umm..My name is Taylor Bird..I'm a foreign transfer from England..I look forward to joining your class.." I bow my head and look back up. The girls are giggling louder and so is Jung-min. I look down at the floor and see someone get up.

"Annyeong, Taylor! I'm Kim Hyung-Joon!"

I smile at Hyung-joon, but it is short lived as another person stands up.

"Annyeong, Taylor, I'm Heo Young-Saeng, nice to meet you!" A shorter guy also stands up, grinning widely, showing off a set of the cutest dimples I'd ever seen. I bow my head at him, thankful for being so kind.

"Annyeong, Taylor, my name is Kim Kyu-Jong, it's a pleasure to meet you!" Another guy gets up, he flicks his head and gives me a warm smile. They're all so nice..

"Gomabseubnida.." I almost whisper. But to my surprise, another person gets up!

"Yeoboseyo, Taylor-ssi! I'm Kim Hyun-Joong, it's lovely to meet you!" A cute, caramel haired guy gets up and flashes me a winning smile, whilst leaning lazily on his table. I can't help but smile back, and blush as he winks at me too.

Hyung-Joon kicks the leg of Jung-min's seat and pushes him to introduce himself. He turns around and looks me up and down.

"We've met."
