But you’re there when you are not

 

We pretend to be close,

We tell the world that,

How I wish it was real,

How I wish we weren’t two strangers sitting next to each other,

 

You don’t know me (you never wanted to)

I don’t know you (no matter how much I wanted to)

 

How much does my heart have to beat,

For you to notice?

 

I wish you would see my feelings (just for a second),

I wish you would realize it’s not all pretense (just for a moment)

 

When you look at me and smile in front of the cameras,

My dumb heart starts to dream,

Starts to believe (wants to believe) that it’s real....

 

It makes me want to be with you, in front of the cameras, forever.....

 

When you’re next to me, we are miles apart

But when you’re not,

I’m so close to you,

In my imaginations,

We talk and laugh and fall in love,

But when the morning comes,

I’m left wishing, that it wasn’t just a dream......

 

I wish that day would come (I live for it),

When it would all become real.

 

That we would be real,

Even in front of the cameras.
