A/N: Hello readers, another converted fic. This is an idea where Seulgi tries to bake something for Irene as she loves her so much, and in turn Irene eats it even if it’s gross because she also loves her so much. Seriously the things people do for love huh. Please enjoy.

 

It had been 3 full days since Bae Joohyun has seen her best friend Kang Seulgi. The monolid woman wasn’t answering texts or calls. She even tried to email her a few times, because that’s how desperate Joohyun was getting. She was naturally very worried about this sudden lack of contact. They talk pretty much every day no matter what. It’s not like Seulgi to just drop off the grid without saying anything. She really hopes Seulgi is okay, as she is also the person that doesn’t like to worry people if she’s hurt or sick. One time Joohyun had to basically break into her apartment to find her under her covers and not well.

 

Joohyun is worried that she would walk into something like that again, because the possibility of such a thing is very high. She  decided to go over to her apartment. That’s why Joohyun is currently standing right at the door, knocking. There is no answer at first, so she knocks again.

 

“Who is it?” Joohyun soon hears Seulgi ask.

 

“Seul?” Her voice comes out relieved to hear her friend. “Are you okay in there? Why haven’t you been responding to texts?”

 

“Oh,” Seulgi sounds nervous suddenly. “Hey, Hyun, don’t worry I’m good.”

 

However, the sound of a loud crash and Seulgi cursing under her breath definitely startles her. That really doesn’t sound like she’s okay in there. Her best friend can be very clumsy, so now she is worried that Seulgi fell and is hurt in there.

 

“Seul, are you okay?”

 

“Y-yes, I’m fine. You can go home okay, I’ll catch up with you later.”

 

“I’m not going to leave if you’re actually hurt in there, so you’d better open this door.”

 

“I’m fine, seriously…”

 

“I won’t believe it until I see you for myself. I’ll break your door down if I have to, Seul.”

 

That’s when Seulgi laughs suddenly, amused by the fact that Joohyun claims she will break her door down. Joohyun is small, smaller than her, and there is just no way she’ll actually be able to break a door down.

 

“What’s so funny, huh? You don’t think I could do it?”

 

“Of course not.” Seulgi is laughing again. “Hyun,, you’re so small and adorable looking. There’s just no way.”

 

Joohyun is frowning on the other side of the door. She doesn’t appreciate that Seulgi is in there doubting her strength. Joohyun knows she can take the door down if necessary, especially if it meant making sure Seulgi is alright in there.

 

“Hey, now no frowning out there. You look like a cute  bunny with your adorable cheeks puffed out when you’re mad.” Seulgi explains, and although it should probably freak her out that Seulgi knows her so well. It actually doesn’t. They have been best friends since they were young kids, it’s only natural they know each other so well.

 

“Anyway, I could definitely take your door down. So, open it now, Kang Seulgi.”

 

Seulgi recognizes that tone for what it is. Joohyun definitely means business, and Seulgi doesn’t doubt that she would try to take her door down. The sight of her smaller friend trying to actually break down a door. It makes her smile since it just seems too cute to imagine.

 

“Ok, fine...but you were warned.”

 

The second that Seulgi opens the door. Her brown hair is up in a loose, messy bun. There are flour stains all over her cheeks, and she looks super stressed out.

 

“Um, did you have a fight with a bag of flour?” The smaller raven asks, half seriously.

 

“Yes.” Seulgi deadpans. “I did actually have a fight with a few flour bags, and guess what, they all won.”

 

Joohyun chuckles, then wipes one of her cheeks. She looks really adorable like this.

 

“Okay, so what’s….”

 

Joohyun pauses though as she enters the apartment. She sees the mess the kitchen is in, and what a mess it is in. There are pots, pans, flour bags open, chocolate chip bags scattered all over, eggs cracked and broken. Joohyun looks at her with surprise.

 

“You look like you had more than one fight in here.”

 

“Yeah, everything else ganged up on me when I was already down. Well, you can go if you…”

 

The raven just goes into the kitchen. It looks for sure as if Seulgi was attempting to bake something. There are a lot of discarded pans of what looked to be cookies or burnt cake. She doesn’t know for sure.

 

“Hey, Seul if you wanted to bake something. Why didn’t you just call me? I could have done it for you.”

 

Seulgi knows that. It’s her friend that is the extraordinary baker. Only, there is a simple reason as to why she didn’t tell Joohyun. She looks away suddenly embarrassed.

 

“Seul, are you okay?”

 

“Yea, I just….” She pauses. “I wanted to try making something for you. You’re always making me everything and I’ve been practicing for the past three days. Only as you can see nothing really worked. Except these brownies they are basically the best of the worst.”

 

When Seulgi shows her the pan of brownies. It takes everything in Joohyun to not overreact visually. They just look so bad, half burnt and somewhat raw in places, then she remembers what Seulgi just said. She was trying to do something nice for her, and also spent the past 3 days practicing, that is honestly the sweetest thing Joohyun has ever heard. It’s very much like Seulgi to be this sweet.

 

“Seul, you were here for three days trying to make me brownies?”

 

“Well, trying to make anything really. I’m sorry it was a fail, but I did try really hard.”

 

Joohyun can imagine how difficult this must have been for Seulgi. She isn’t exactly known for her cooking or baking skills. However, Joohyun knows how hard Seulgi tries in everything. She looks hesitantly at the brownies. They are really bad looking. But, she sees how Seulgi is staring down at them looking so crestfallen that it tugs at her heartstrings. Also, Joohyun really loves this woman a lot. She’s always been in love with her for so long, and even if the brownies look like they could possibly make her violently ill. She reaches over and takes one.

 

“What are you doing, Hyun?”

 

“You made them for me right? The least I could do is try one.”

 

Seulgi looks alarmed, like she thinks Joohyun is absolutely crazy for trying to eat them.

 

“But, they look like they could kill you. Please don’t eat this.”

 

Joohyun smiles, despite the warning. “You made them, so that’s all I need to know.”

 

Joohyun then proceeds to take a bite. They don’t taste as bad as they look honestly. Seulgi is just staring at her with wide eyes. She really can’t believe what she is looking at it. Does her best friend have some sort of death wish that she doesn’t know about.

 

“Hey, you really don’t….”

 

Joohyun finishes the entire square. When she takes the last bite she offers up another kind smile.

 

“See, not so bad.”

 

“You don’t look like you’re going to be okay.” Seulgi mentions. Since she does look kind of  like she will be sick.

 

“What, I’ll be fine...just maybe I should sit down for a moment.”

 

“You look like you’ll throw up, Hyun.”

 

“That’s ridiculous. I’m not going to throw up Seul.” Although, she genuinely feels like there is a possibility that she might throw up, or pass out somewhere. Seulgi grabs her by the arm and helps her to the couch. She has her phone ready just in case she needs to call an ambulance or something.

 

“Hyun, what were you thinking? You didn’t have to actually eat them.”

 

“Seulgi, you made them. You spent three days trying to make me desserts. That was sweet of you.”

 

“Yea, but stupid too.” Seulgi shakes her head. “I don’t want you to get sick over this.”

 

“I won’t Seul, don’t worry.”

 

Seulgi really doesn’t understand why she would even eat them. They don’t look all that edible, and for her she really doesn’t want to possibly harm the girl she loves.

 

“I’m so stupid. I’ll never make you anything again. I mean, I only wanted to do something nice because I love you. But, I don’t want to hurt the woman I love or anything.” Seulgi mentions so casually while walking off to the kitchen. It takes Joohyun no time to react to what she hears. is dropped in shock at what Seulgi just said. She gets up and hurries into the kitchen after her. Maybe Seulgi doesn’t realize what she just said.

 

“Hey, did you hear what you just said Seul?”

 

“What, that I didn’t want to hurt the woman I love?”

 

“Yes.” Joohyun nods several times. “You did say that right, and you know what that sounds like when I hear it, yes?”

 

Seulgi definitely knows what it sounds like, as it was intended to come out just as it sounds. That she is in love with Joohyun and would never want to hurt her.

 

“I made these desserts or I tried to really, because I love you. I wanted to show you how much, even if I’m not good at cooking, or baking or anything kitchen related so…”

 

Joohyun cuts her off with a kiss. It’s been a long time coming, as she has always wanted to kiss Seulgi. The slightly taller woman wastes no time in kissing her back. They don’t stop at just the one either. They go in for several more sweet, tender kisses that quickly escalate into hotter, deeper lip locks. When they break away Seulgi is smiling at her.

 

“Yeah, so that’s the reason why, Hyun.”

 

“Seul, I love you too.”

 

“You do?” She blinks, surprised as if she didn’t expect for Joohyun to love her in return.

 

“Of course.” The raven nods. “Do you think I’d have eaten that brownie if I didn’t love you. I love you so much that I’d risk potential death for you Seul, that’s saying a lot.”

 

Seulgi can’t help but to let out a laugh at that. She really did risk her life to eat one of those brownies.

 

“You could have been sick.”

 

Joohyun shakes her head, then leans up to kiss her again, softer this time while wrapping her arms around her shoulders. She could have gotten sick this is true. She really loves Seulgi to the point that she would do almost anything for her.

 

“Hyun?” Seulgi whispers when they break away. “You could have been seriously injured because of those brownies. You have to promise me that you won’t do anything like that again, okay.” She runs fingers through her hair, looking so concerned.

 

“I can’t promise you that, Seul.”

 

“What? Why can’t you, don’t you care about your life? I mean, these look like they could really hurt someone.”

 

Joohyun puts her finger to her lips effectively shushing her.

 

“I can’t promise you that because I love you. I love you and I would do anything at all for you Kang Seulgi, even eat your gross desserts.”

 

Seulgi smiles at that. It’s an insult but at the same time it’s really sweet. Joohyun is just the sweetest person she has ever met in her life.

 

“I appreciate that you are willing to suffer my gross desserts, Hyun. I won’t subject them to you again. I’ll draw you something, or sing you a song.”

 

“I would love that.” As nothing is sweeter than having someone you love sing a song to you, especially if said person can sing as well as Seulgi can. Though, she really does feel like she could be sick as her stomach feels like it’s now fighting itself. Just as Seulgi is trying to lean in for another kiss. Joohyun backs up suddenly.

 

“Um, so don’t get mad but…”

 

“You’re going to be sick right?” Seulgi finishes her sentence knowingly.

 

“Yes! I’m sorry….” Joohyun hurries to make a mad dash to the bathroom. Seulgi sighs and shakes her head. It’s official she definitely caused harm to the one she loves.

 

“Okay, I need to go be a girlfriend and pull her hair back for her.” Seulgi decides and hurries after her. This will be the last time she makes anything for her. She wants to keep her now girlfriend and not possibly kill said girlfriend.

 

“Hey, Hyun, sorry about this. You know I love you right, and I won’t try to bake for you ever again.” She calls out to her.

 

“T-thanks…” Comes the groggy reply. “I love you too.”

 

 

A/N: This was essentially what I was going for, and it turned out okay I think. Personally I am Seulgi here  only I wouldn’t actually hurt someone through cooking lol. Hope it was okay to read though
