Dignity

Puppy [Baekhyun]

*the word for bastard in Korean directly translates to dog-like man

"Gunwoo," Ajung says cheerfully biting her bottom lip hoping to get attention from her boyfriend who still seemed more preoccupied with his phone, "Gun-"

"Why did you call me here?" His voice is rash and his eyes send daggers through her heart.

"You looked tired I just-" before she can continue she's already been cut off by him.

"Are you my dog or something?" Gunwoo spits out Ajung's bottom lip quivers when she opens to speak but no sound escapes it, "it's tiring how you always call me, you know I hate meeting for no reason," Ajung drops her head forward feeling dejected and heartbroken.

"I'm sorry," Ajung finally musters out, "I'll do better," Ajung grasps tightly at Gunwoo's hand and he scoffs, "let's work this out, please?" Ajung practically begs and sense of dignity gone.

"Let's call it off," Gunwoo says sternly but Ajung can't bring herself to let go.

"For how long?" Ajung says shakily.

"You really are like a dog," the buzzer signaling that their coffee was ready had been going off for a while now but neither of them made an attempt to move From the table Ajung finally breaks from her trance-like state.

"I'll go get our coffee," she pushes her chair back her hand shakily gripping it while she stands.

"You weren't coming," the employee trails off, "so I brought it to you," his eyes are wide and he looks nervous, Gunwoo stands up and takes his drink off the tray.

"Don't cry," he mumbles and Ajung hears the jingle of the bell before she fully realizes he's left the room.

"Thank you," Ajung mumbles sitting the tray on the table before sitting back at it again.

"Can you believe he did that?" One of the other employees' whispers, Baekhyun turns the music volume up noticing how Ajung was covering her ears and could most-likely hear the people talking.

"Baekhyun," Jongin says softly, "how could he do that to Ms. Yoon," he pauses, "she was too good for him wasn't she?" Jongin suddenly turns back cheerful.

"Do your job," Baekhyun says softly, "she probably doesn't want people talking about her," Baekhyun looks down at the ground.

Ajung leans back against the steps turning the can of beer back as well. Her chest still feels tight and she feels lost from the breakup earlier.

"Gunwoo you *bastard," Ajung calls out into the empty park the sound of a dog barking startles her from her slightly drunken daze, "I wasn't talking to you," she whines out her lips pull to a pout, "do you have an owner?" She moves closer to the dog refund for its nametag, "Baekhyun," that's a cute name.

Ajung pets the Corgi on the top of its head smiling to herself. The corgi lays down in front of her allowing her to pet him gently. She lets out a heavy sigh her bottom lip pulled into a pout.

"Baekhyun-ah, you need to go home, where are your parents?" Her voice is slightly slurred her head resting on the palm of her hand, "are you hungry?" She mutters standing up from her spot on the steps stumbling forward slightly.

I'm a co-author on this and I have no idea why? Anyway, Moon do you want a cover made + 강아지 means "puppy" 개새끼 the direct translation would be "Dog-like man" or "bastard" for an English equivalent. 개 is the regular Korean word for just dog lmao. If you want to be really out there and cutesy or 애교 you can use MyeongMyeong[명명] (Myungmyung) which is the Korean equivalent to a little kid calling a dog a Woof woof Myeong is the sound of a dog barking lmao. Anyway, ask me for Korean help, not my sister I lived there longer lmao.
