Start to Finish

Remembering Me [SEQUEL to Reminding Me]

"Ugh, that jerk," Yeonghee cursed under her breath and rolled her eyes so far that they might’ve rolled right out of her head. "He thinks he's so cool because he's so tall. I hate him."

She tapped her foot impatiently. "I very much hate him." She huffed herself up and started climbing. "I still hate him." Slowly, she reached her arms up and yet, still inches too far. She wanted to stand, but she feared of falling off and cracking her head open which she would then would really hate him.

She still stretched further up until she could feel the cool surface at her fingertips. Carefully, she rubbed her fingers against it hoping to bring it closer to edge. Inch by inch, it moved.

'Slowly....slowly...slowly' Yeonghee chanted in her head as a bead of sweat formed and ran down the side of her face. Her arm was starting to ache from stretching it for so long.

Finally, she felt it very close to the edge. She looked up and reached up with both hands to grab the bowl.

It was there in her reach and gliding along her needy fingers but then, she felt her body being pulled back by gravity and she was falling. She quickly grabbed the sides of the cabinet door and the fridge to keep her balance. However, the bowl had no hands for it to hold on to anything so as she was 'falling', she had let go of the bowl as it slipped out from the cabinet and came crashing to the tile floor, shattering to pieces. Yeonghee groaned loudly in frustration. She slumped against the fridge and waited for those heavy footsteps to make its way towards her.

Soon enough, Chanyeol came running out from his office after hearing the crash and Yeonghee's sound of distress. "Baby, are you okay? What's going on? Are you hurt?”

He frantically looked from Yeonghee squatting on the counter to the broken glass bowl on the floor.

"Don't move, honey." He quickly grabbed the broom and dustpan and began sweeping up the broken pieces. "Why didn't you call me?"

"You seemed busy and I didn't want to disturb you," Yeonghee answered and sat down with her knees to her chest. "But if only you didn’t choose to put the bowls on the highest shelf we have, there wouldn’t be a problem."

Chanyeol laughed and Yeonghee's eyes widen with anger. Chanyeol noticed her death glare boring holes into him and let his laugh die down to a short chuckle. "Sorry, but I just imagine if I put them up there, you would call me and we can be romantic about it like you lean against the counter as I lean my tall body over you as I reach up to grab the bowl."

Yeonghee blushed, but quickly beat the heat away. "Keep imagining then. Is this what you do as work? Fantasize about me?”

"No… but I think about it as I work," Chanyeol dumped away the glass and walked over towards her. He embraced her with her knees separating them. "Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t realize that you were going to need the bowls so soon. But that was very dangerous of you to do. What if that was your head?"

"Honestly, I was thinking the same thing."

"And you didn’t think to stop yourself?"

"No because I needed a bowl. I thought if I was careful enough, I should be okay…” she pouted and put her head down.

"Yeonghee, I don't know what I would do if I lost you. God, I would go insane each day and ending killing myself."

"Geez, don't say things like that, Chan. I’m not going anywhere, and you know it,” she wrapped her arms around him, feeling bad for worrying him.

"I know. I just worry about you a lot since you are my wife; I made it my duty to protect you forever and always."

They stayed embraced for a good long minute or two when Yeonghee's arms started to ache from trying to reach her short arms all around her husband’s broad upper body.

"Alright big guy, I need to cook dinner for us. Can you grab a bowl for me please?" Yeonghee requested.

"Anything for you, baby," he pecked her lips as he slightly leaned his chest against her and grabbed the new bowl.

"Wow, have you been working out?" Yeonghee placed a hand onto Chanyeol's firm chest.

Chanyeol blushed. "Y-yeah there’s a gym close by work that Jongdae and I go to once in a while."

"Ooh, the husband is feeling nice and firm~" she patted around the thin T-shirt he wore.

Chanyeol giggled and blushed more. "Stop, you're tickling me."

"And you were thinking of having romantic time in the kitchen," Yeonghee clucked her tongue and jumped down from the counter. "How can you giggle and say you're ticklish in a situation like that?"

"Oh, can we redo?" Chanyeol rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment.

"Sorry, it's a little too late now."

Chanyeol whined as he threw his arms around Yeonghee and pressed her up against his chest as she began soaking the pasta noodles. "Please, babe?"

Yeonghee rolled her eyes. "My answer is no. I have to cook, and you have to finish your presentation for tomorrow's meeting."

Chanyeol pouted his lips and snuggles his face into the crook of her neck. "Fine, fine."

"Good boy," she petted his head.

"Can I just have one kiss?"

"Of course, you can, Mr. Park," she let the noodles soak as she turned around in Chanyeol's arms giving him a large smooch in hope to satisfy him.

To her dismay, Mr. Park wanted a little more than a big smooch. He tightened his hold on her and with a tilt of his head, he proceeded to kiss her with all the passion he had inside of him. Yeonghee let him continue until she heard the pot boiling is when she patted his on the cheek to release her. Chanyeol groaned but obeyed.

"Satisfied, Mr. Park?" Yeonghee raised an eyebrow.

"Very satisfied, Mrs. Park," he winked and, eventually, padded his way back to his office.

Early morning Saturday and, of course, Yeonghee still remain sleeping. It’s a Saturday. Who's going to wake up early if they didn’t need to? Not she and sure, there was a little part of her that wanted to wake up to greet Chanyeol when he came back from Osaka. He had been on yet another work trip over there. Usually, he's gone for a good 2 to 3 days max, but he was gone for a week this time and the condo was incredibly lonesome.

After a long contemplation of getting up or not, she soon fell back into a deep sleep.

Yeonghee wasn't sure how much longer she had slept for when she felt the covers moving and the bed gradually getting warmer. She thought it was her imagination, which is the usual when she's missing Chanyeol when a large body gently laid itself on top of her. Yeonghee groaned a little from the pressure on her chest.

"Good morning, honey," Chanyeol's voice invaded her eardrums and she couldn’t help, but whimper at the sound of his deep voice.

"Morning," she whispered back with her eyes still closed.

Chanyeol snuggled his face into the crook of her neck before leaning back up to poke his nose into her cheek as he wrapped his arms completely underneath her making her giggle as his warm hands snuck underneath her shirt and tickling her back. She finally opened her eyes to meet his twinkling ones.

"I missed you so much, Chan," she pecked his cheek, reaching her hand from underneath him and caressed his waist.

"I missed you a lot more," he returned the kiss. This time on her lips.

"When did you get back?" She reached up to pet Chanyeol's head.

He leaned into her touch and hummed. "I got back maybe an hour or two ago. I' slept on the plane then when I got home, I slept some more on the couch.”

Yeonghee clucked her tongue. "You slept on the couch? Why not on the bed with me?"

"You looked too peaceful to disturb and I wanted to surprise you like this."

            "Surprise me?"

Chanyeol hummed. "Yep, just like this." He placed his lips back onto hers as he tightened his hold onto her.

Yeonghee put her arms around his neck and slightly pulled at the ends of his hair. He tilted his head to the side for more access that she was granting him. Chanyeol gently slipped one hand out from underneath her and placed it on her hip, caressing it softly with Yeonghee groaning quietly and then giggling at how ticklish it felt. He squeezed her side and continued to indulge himself in her sweet taste.

“I missed you so much,” he whispered through open mouth kisses.

This intense make out wasn’t going anywhere and that's the usual for the couple. They never really have and that was fine for the two. Of course, they do it occasionally when the drive was high, but they didn’t see a point in it unless they wanted kids. They’re many other ways to show their love for each other without the intimacy of feeling each other up.

He slightly leaned back and found home back in her neck. "How have you been, my queen?"

"Missing you,” she softly replied as she found home in his messy brown locks.

            "Anything else?"

Yeonghee sighed. "Drawing. One of my clients is a Co-CEO of some company and he wants a type of futuristic home and a precise outline and structural piece for his dream family house. Every time I show it to him, he picks out the smallest detail. I've been working day and night on it to make it perfect."

"Day and night? I told you already that you shouldn’t be working so hard for that long," Chanyeol pouted.

"I know that’s why I only did when you're gone so you won't nag me about it," Yeonghee joked.

"Hey~~" Chanyeol’s pout deepened and he wiggled around in her embrace.

"Okay, okay," she patted his head. "I'll try not to overwork myself again. But I didn't graduate with a Ph.D. for nothing!"

"I know, I know~ you're a good girl," he rolled out from her embrace and onto his pillow and began to embrace Yeonghee this time as she moved over onto his chest.

His hand run over the soft fabric she wore. "Huh? Is this my cardigan?"

"I told you... I missed you a lot," it was Yeonghee's turn to wiggle in his embrace; a little embarrassed. He laughed and pulled her much more closely to him that she nearly lay entirely on top of him.

"Okay, I'm sorry," Chanyeol kissed the top of her head. "I promise I won't go on trips for too long, okay?"

"Do you make more if you're on longer trips?"

"Yeah kind of…. well, yeah a lot more."

"Oh, never mind then please continue going on longer trips!"

"What? You're so mean, Yeonghee!" Chanyeol pouted.

"I'm just kidding," she kissed his pouting lips. "I want you to be home as often as you can. How long is your vacation now that you were gone for so long?” After Chanyeol’s work trips, he’s granted at least a couple to a week-long paid leave.

            “A month,” he answered.

“That’s a really long time to be off from work.”

“Yeah, but I’m still getting paid,” Chanyeol winked. "But you know what's would be better?"

She looked up at Chanyeol who smirked at her. "What?"

"It would be better if you work hard to finish up your design so you can make money so I don’t have too," Chanyeol laughed.

Yeonghee sat up immediately and crossed her arms. "Hey, you're the one being mean now."

“I know, I just love teasing you,” he dragged Yeonghee back down to his chest. “Anyway, Suho and his wife want to meet up for lunch later. Do you want to go?”

            “Sure, I’m down for food.”

“Of course, you are,” Chanyeol chuckled and planted a kiss on her forehead.

“The kids are great. They’re at daycare right now,” Suho smiled taking a sip of his coffee. “Ah!” But without realizing how hot his coffee still was.

“Daycare as in my mom’s house,” Jihyun patted her husband’s shoulder.

If there was a word to describe Suho and Jihyun, it is dysfunctional.

Suho was 27 years old which made him a year older than Chanyeol and yet, he and his wife make it seem like they’re both fresh out of high school. They had their first set of twins two years ago and they’re honestly just a mess. With no experience at all and both being the only child in their families, they knew nothing about childcare. Most of the time their children were at one of the grandparents’ house or they were all at some parenthood facility. They’re attempting to be functional when in reality; their life is being wrecked at every single moment.

Now they were somewhat over that stage and are awaiting a third child. “I’m hoping its girl since the boys are so active,” Suho mentioned.

“Yeah,” Jihyun smiled once more before tapping on Yeonghee and pulled her close to whisper in her ear. “It’s another boy.”

Yeonghee leaned back and bit her lip. “When is the baby shower?”

“Next week. I hope you both can make,” Jihyun clapped her hands together.

“Um, we’ll see with our schedules,” Chanyeol mentioned before standing up. “Well, we have to go. Thanks for inviting us to lunch.”

“I can’t tell if I should like or not like Suho and Jihyun,” Yeonghee puffed out her cheeks. “I mean I like them, but sometimes they’re so dysfunctional that it bothers me that they choose to make the choices they do. I know I don’t know any better, but I just feel like it’s the better way to go.”

“I honestly have to agree with you,” Chanyeol sighed and dug out his wallet for his card.

“Ah, wait,” Yeonghee grabbed Chanyeol’s wrist to stop him from handing the cashier his card. With her phone in hand, she waved it over the card reader. “I got it.”

“Aw, my beautiful wife paying for my meal,” Chanyeol gushed. “This is why I love you so much more.”

“Oh, stop it,” she giggled and lightly hit Chanyeol’s chest.

Before heading back home, they spent more time together by going shopping at the mall which the couple really loved doing together. Fortunately, they had a very stable income that they were able to do so much shopping.

After shopping at some stores, they made a last stop to the grocery store to quickly whip something up in the kitchen at home.

“Ah, I missed your cooking, Mr. Park. I want you to cook for me every day,” Yeonghee jumped onto the bed after showering and changing into her new pair of silk sleeping clothes Chanyeol bought for her today.

“And I missed your little cute demands,” Chanyeol walked over and sat on the bed next to Yeonghee, who continued to sprawl herself out onto the sheets. “I’ll cook for you every day; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You name it.”

He laid himself on the bed and pulled Yeonghee towards him. “Ah, I don’t think we’re going to make it to Suho and Jihyun’s baby shower.”

“Oh, why you do think that?”

“I got bigger plans for us.”

            “And what would that be?”

“Check my pants pocket,” he replied.

Yeonghee scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. “You mean the pants you’re wearing right now?” Chanyeol nodded.

Yeonghee slowly reached down to his sweatpants pocket and reached inside. She tapped around for this surprise and couldn’t feel for much. Why are men’s' pockets much larger than women’s'? She reached slightly over until she found something quite large and thick. She squeezed it.

Chanyeol choked slightly and shut his eyes. "Baby, that's not it."

She immediately let go after realizing what she grabbed. "Sorry."

Finally, after reaching down the deep abyss of his pocket, she pulled out a folded piece of paper or at least two pieces folded together.

"Hmm, what is this?” She looked up at Chanyeol whose face went back to not being so flushed. “Are these plane tickets?" She unraveled the papers and she was correct; they were indeed plane tickets. "We're going on a trip to Japan?"

Chanyeol nodded as Yeonghee's eyes light up. “I’ve been to Japan so many times for my job, but I’ve never been able to have any fun there and I want to spend this time with you. So, will you go on this trip with me?”

“Well, you already bought the tickets so do I really have a choice?” Yeonghee giggled.

“Of course, you do! If you don’t want to go then we don’t have to,” he winked. “Plus, there’s a thing called a refund.”

“Are we really going on trip?” Yeonghee couldn’t help but hide her smile from this sweet surprise.

            "Hai soodesuyo~" Chanyeol answered.

            "What?"

"Yes, we are," Chanyeol laughed. "I guess I got to teach you some Japanese beforehand."

"I think I need to know some very basic stuff because I have my cute boyfriend as my guide and translator." Chanyeol couldn’t help but roll his eyes at his wife. However, he for sure knew he would have to teach her more than the basics.

"Wah, Japan is so nice and clean!" Yeonghee skipped around in front of Chanyeol as they walked around the small neighborhood streets. "Ah~ it's so nice here! You should teach me some words in Japanese.”

“Okay, what do you want to learn? Just to let you know that I just know basic conversational stuff. Anything more complicated can be crossed off,” Chanyeol said.

“How do you say Coffee shop?”

"Hmm... kissaten? Kissaten is more of a tea-drinking shop and traditional. Coffee shop would literally be coohii shyoppu or there is just Ca-fe" Chanyeol replied.

"Ah! It's almost the same as Korean!"

Chanyeol hummed in agreement. “Yeah, I think Japanese is pretty easy. It’s very similar to Korean; both the language and culture and they hold the same sentence structure too. I just think reading and writing is hard because I’m not good at kanji.”

“Well, we’re both not good at Hanja either so I would think it would be hard. So how do you say, 'let's go to...'?"

"So, it would be like ‘blank-ni ikimashou'."

Yeonghee stopped walking and turned to Chanyeol who stopped walking as well. "Oppa~ Starbucksni ikimashou!"

"Hai, ikimashou!" Chanyeol held Yeonghee's hand as they made their way to the nearest Starbucks.

"Do you know what you want, babe?" Chanyeol asked placing an arm around Yeonghee's shoulder as they waited in the line of the busy Starbucks.

"Hm, I should get a cold drink, shouldn't I? I think I'll try the Sakura Blossom Cream Latte."

When it was their turn, Chanyeol ordered for the both with ease. It must be easy though since it's him telling the workers what drinks they want and then paying and leaving. It just brought a new light to her husband as he is a man of many languages.

"Stop staring," Chanyeol nuzzled his face into her hair.

"I just can't help that my guide is this handsome," she teased and dragged a finger along his arm. "I hope he'll give me a tour him later~"

"Hm~ I will gladly give you a tour of me and in return, I hope to get a tour of you too."

Yeonghee usually wouldn't be this explicit outside the house, but she was in a country where no one probably knew any Korean so she might as well say whatever she can.

"Ah, I'm totally loving this kind of Yeonghee," Chanyeol moved her closer to him. "You seem happier and freer to be out here."

Yeonghee looked up and smiled at him as he lovingly looked back at her. “It’s because I’m with you that I don’t have any reason to be scared in an unknown place.”

            "Drinks for Chanyeol!"

It was around 2 o'clock in the morning when Yeonghee began to stir awake. She didn’t know why she was waking up this early, but it was just one of those nights when you sleep so much during the day that you met that quota of sleep.

Yeonghee slowly opened her eyes and yawned and immediately pouted when the room of Chanyeol's condo is still blanketed in darkness. She looked over at Chanyeol who was sound asleep with his mouth slightly open. She sighed and attempted to go back to sleep, but there was no use. She scooted over closer to Chanyeol and snuggled into his chest. He immediately wrapped his arms around her bringing a hand down her back to slightly grab at her slightly exposed cheek.

"My queen, are you having trouble sleeping?" Chanyeol whispered his voice full of sleep still.

She was surprised that he had woken up, probably from her rolling around so much. Chanyeol isn't much of a heavy sleeper while she's like a rock when she sleeps hence why Chanyeol likes sleeping with Yeonghee because she's not trying to kick him off the bed in her sleep. However, from time to time, he must check that she's still breathing because she's so still.

"I’m sorry did I wake you up?” Yeonghee snuggled back into his hold.

"No, it's okay. Just tell me what I can do to help you sleep," he gently caressed her back. "Do you want to watch a movie? Want me to sing you a song? Bake brownies?"

            "Bake brownies?" Yeonghee laughed.

"Yeah," Chanyeol chuckled. "Sometimes when I'm bored, I bake. Do you want to go bake some?"

            "Okay."

Chanyeol flicked on the kitchen lights and for a second the couple went blind due to the trip being made in the dark. "Are you cold? Do you want me to bring you some pants or turn on the heater?"

Chanyeol eyes traced her legs as she only wore one of Chanyeol's large T-shirts, although all Chanyeol's T-shirts are quite large for her being the giant he is.

"No, I think I'll be okay. Once we turn on the oven, it'll get hot," Yeonghee said as she padded over to the refrigerator. "So, are we making from scratch or the box?"

"Who do you think I am? The box of course," Chanyeol ruffled Yeonghee's already messed up hair. It honestly never occurred to the couple how messy the couple looked from their post-sleep state with Yeonghee's hair being one side puffed up and the other straight and then one side of the shirt being tucked in a little revealing one side of her underwear covered cheek. Chanyeol on the other hand had stray hair flying in all directions, his muscle tee all wrinkled up, and his baggy sweats seem to be baggier than ever.

"You're so right!" Yeonghee laughed already knowing that Chanyeol's culinary skills stops at baking.

The next few minutes were then spent prepping and mixing the brownie mix and then placing the batter in the oven to bake for 20 minutes or so. Then finally when the brownies were finished, they were cooled, plated, and served with two glasses of milk.

Chanyeol took his place on the couch as Yeonghee found her place lying down with her head on his lap as they conversed over their 4 AM brownies.

            "Oppa?"

            "Hm."

"Do you like being in Osaka?" Chanyeol looked down at Yeonghee as her head was turned away from him and she continued munching on her brownie.

"Yeah... but it's not as fun when you're not around."

"Do you really love me that much?"

"Of course, I do! Why are you asking such weird questions?" Chanyeol laughed and gently caressed her stomach and then moved up to play with her hair. "I can never get enough of you even after 11 years."

"Has it really been 11 years, Oppa?" Sleep was finally catching up to Yeonghee and her conscious state was as if she were drunk.

"Yes, it has. 3 Years of dating, 4 years of cheating on each other, 2 years of dating, and now 2 years of marriage. We sure have at least those 7 years together."

Yeonghee gasped. "You're right! Wah, time goes by fast and you're really not sick of me."

"I would never in a million years," Chanyeol leaned down and kissed her forehead. "And I hope the same from you too, but it’s okay. We all know I love you more."

"I don't think I would ever marry anyone else but you, Chan," Yeonghee yawned after her 5th brownie and Chanyeol continuing to massage her scalp because he knew how much she enjoys it. "I love you too much to share it with anyone else."

"Why did you ask then, honey?"

"Hmm... I just need validation from time to time..." her voice seems to dwindle in and out a little.

"Oh baby, I'd give you validation any time of the day whether it'd be me saying or showing it. I don't think I could ever stop loving you and I'm always loving you more with each day, hour, second that passes," Chanyeol let a small smile creep out onto his face at the warm, fuzzy feeling he feels inside whenever he talked about his true feelings for Yeonghee.

There was silence in the room. Chanyeol wondered why she was so quiet until he looked down and realized that she had fallen asleep with a brownie piece still in her hand. He quietly chuckled as he took the small piece left into his mouth and repositioned himself in order to carry Yeonghee. She stirred a little as Chanyeol moved around since he honestly had no idea how he should pick her up from the position they were in.

"I'm sorry, baby, but let's go in and sleep on the bed. I need my queen to have a comfortable place to sleep," he whispered. Yeonghee slowly nodded and sat up as she leaned back to lean against the couch and continue sleeping. This time Chanyeol could get up and then grab Yeonghee from the front and got her to koala bear hug him.

He looked down at the coffee table with the brownie plate and almost empty cups of milk. He shook his head and knew that they'd clean it up later in the day. They'd probably just spend the day in with each other anyway on this rainy spring morning.

Chanyeol gently placed Yeonghee down on the bed and her arms immediately went limp as she relaxed herself on the bed. He covered her with the blanket before crawling over her to his side. Feeling him in the blanket, Yeonghee rolled over to find herself in Chanyeol's arms.

"Is my king comfortable?" She placed her lips on an exposed part of his neck.

"If my queen is comfortable then so is the king."

For the past few days, Chanyeol and Yeonghee spent each day just traveling and touring different cities in Japan even if it was hours of train rides, they always managed to get back for the last train or they'd just make due with a hotel room for the night.

Their trip was finally coming to an end and they woke up especially early to have the entire day filled with one last adventure in Osaka. They spent the early morning with a quick breakfast that Chanyeol very much insisted in cooking, which was French toast and scrambled eggs. He also insisted in setting up the table outside on the terrace in the cool, warm spring air.

After breakfast, they got to packing some of their clothes back into their luggage in case they returned late and had no time to pack everything before their flight. Chanyeol was the first to call in to take a shower.

Yeonghee laid out some clothes and souvenirs that she was going to take back with her. As she placed everything back inside and began to zip up the luggage, up around towards the middle. the suitcase was so full that it refused to zip up any further.

"Honey," Yeonghee called out. "My suitcase won't zip any further."

            Silence was the only response.

"Chanyeol?" Still no response. Yeonghee pursed her lips together and headed over towards the bathroom when she heard him talking. There was no one, but them in the condo so he must be on the phone.

"He has those big ears of his and he doesn't use them," she grumbled.

She was about to just walk in when Chanyeol starting chuckling like the chuckle he does when he flirts with her.

"So, we're going to meet up later, right?" Chanyeol chuckled. "No, she’s here with me. I already told you that I went back to Korea to bring her a long with me. Of course, I didn’t tell her,” she can already see him rolling his eyes behind the closed door. He sighed. “Why would I do that? She’s oblivious to the whole idea.” It was hard to pinpoint if he was calling her stupid or not.

“Don’t worry, it’s our little secret.”

Yeonghee froze. So many things were running through Yeonghee's mind. She didn't want to jump to any conclusions, but she wanted to jump so badly. She couldn’t exactly tell who he was talking to, but it sounded too friendly to be a business partner of some sort nor did it sound like one of his friends because if he talked to Kyungsoo like that, Kyungsoo would give him a big, long scolding through the phone nor would it be Suho because he never picks up due to his dysfunctional-ness. Who could it possibly be?

"Alright, I have to get ready before she gets suspicious why I'm taking so long. God, I love you! Bye," Chanyeol hung up and after hearing that I love you, Yeonghee quickly slid the door open.

Who on earth could he be saying 'God, I love you' to? Especially, in that lovey-dovey tone? There was no way he could be cheating not after that talk a couple nights ago. And she wasn't up for him to cheat on her again. On the real side, the only people Chanyeol ever talks to like that is her with the exceptions of saying I love you to Baekhyun, sometimes Sehun, his parents, and his sisters.

"Oh, hi Yeonghee," Chanyeol waved his hand. His hair was still wet from his shower and wearing only his robe. He opened his arms up for a hug which Yeonghee gravitated towards him and into his arms. He smelled like honey.

‘Why did he use my name? He usually calls me honey, wife, or baby.’ Yeonghee glared up at her husband. “I called for you, but you didn’t answer. I just wanted make sure you were okay.”

"Ah, oppa is sorry. I was on the phone with a friend. What do you need?" Chanyeol rubbed her back and looked down at Yeonghee finding home in his chest. He knew that anytime he called himself oppa, Yeonghee would give in to him.

"My suitcase won't close, and I need help closing it," she mumbled in his chest.

"Okay, oppa will help you," Chanyeol kissed the top of her head and brought her out to the bedroom. With ease, he zipped up the suitcase. "There you go!"

            "Thank you, honey," she beamed.

"That's all I get? Nothing else?" He pouted and Yeonghee pursed her lips and shook her head thinking that’s all she needed to give him. Chanyeol rolled his eyes and grabbed Yeonghee by the waist, pulling her close to him. She blinked quickly at the sudden intimacy.

"I think I deserve a little more than a thank you," he roughly whispered in her ear causing her to sigh hearing his deep voice. His voice will forever be the best ASMR she'll ever want to hear. He leaned forward taking in both her lips to his. It was a very quick yet, passionate kiss making Yeonghee forgot the whole phone conversation and only fall deeper in love with Chanyeol.

After they parted for a breather, Yeonghee giggled. "You're a little rough this morning, Chan."

"Sorry, but you seemed a little more upset with me. I know it's not because I didn’t come to your side when you called me. I don't want to know what I did wrong. I know I did something, and I just want to fix it and pray that I’m forgiven," he smiled and pecked her lips again. "Let's hurry and get ready, okay? We have a long day ahead of us."

“Chanyeol-ah, this place is so beautiful. Osaka Castle is a beautiful place,” Yeonghee spread her arms and ran around the falling cherry blossoms. She didn’t realize the loud snapping noises of a camera until she stopped to look for her husband who didn’t seem like he was running after her.

She turned her head just in time for the last snap of the camera and Chanyeol peeking out from behind to smile at her. “Perfect.”

“I want to see!” Yeonghee quickly ran over to husband to scan over the photos. They were all so mesmerizing. It was just the way the cherry blossoms froze and her subtle present in the corner of all this beauty. The last photo was what got her. It was a close photo of her face as the flowers once again froze in time for background accents and her hair frozen as well to act as if the wind was blowing through when she was just turning her head. Then there was the slight tilt of her lips that she showcased when she found that her husband still following behind her.

They were finally walking out the garden hand in hand when Yeonghee spoke up. “Ugh, I really love it here, Chanyeol-ah. I could live here and never get bored. Also, I’m kind of hungry.”

“Really?” Chanyeol looked down at his cute wife. Yeonghee nodded excitedly to the thought of food when he was more referring to her wanting to live there. “That’s good to hear because I have one more surprise for you.”

Chanyeol quickly led Yeonghee to the train station and they hopped onto the next train boarding.

“Where are we going?” Yeonghee questioned her husband as they left the train and back onto the streets.

“A great café with great food and there’s someone I would like you to see,” Chanyeol smiled and pushed open the doors to another coffee shop.

“I’m hungry though… I don’t understand who you want me to-” Yeonghee stopped when she saw who Chanyeol was referring to and then it reminded her of this morning. There was only one person Chanyeol would talk to on the phone like that. “Byun Baekhyun.”

“Hello, Mrs. Park. Are you shocked to see me?” He wrapped his arms around Yeonghee.

“Of course, I am! What are you doing here?”

“I actually live here with my wife,” he gestured to a small girl sitting at the table. He said something in Japanese to her and she quickly made her way over. “Yeonghee, this is my wife, Kimiko.”

“Hello,” Kimiko greeted in a rather good Korean accent. “I’m half Korean so at least the language barrier won’t be a problem, but I do suppose Chanyeol has been teaching you some Japanese along your trip. I tend to be better in Japanese than I am in Korean.”

“Yes, but only really basic vocabulary and greetings. The only conversation I can hold is when ordering food,” Yeonghee explained. “Chanyeol sneaks off to the bathroom right as the waiter gets to our table so I’m forced to order.”

Suddenly, the bells on the door rang violently. “Ah, sorry we’re late. The puppies got out of their cages and they were hiding all over the clinic.”

“Don’t worry, Oh Sehun. We just got started in introduction,” Chanyeol said.

“Do you guys live here too?” Yeonghee questioned the couple that just walked in.

“We sure do,” Eunbi replied. “Korea was very jammed pack and the doctor that Sehun was interning for suggested we go to Japan to teach others the skills and other equipment that are more helpful in animal care.”

They all found a table big enough to fit all six of them and continued catching up with each other.

“Ugh, I hate you~ why did you wait till the end of the trip to tell me that they’re here too?” Yeonghee poked Chanyeol’s side.

“I wanted to see your reaction seeing them here first so that maybe you’ll like it here more, but then you already told me that you like it here and I thought that it would make this meeting a little more special and—"

"I'm just glad you're not cheating on me."

"I would never cheat on you, Park Yeonghee," she knew he was being serious whenever he said her full name. He hugged her tightly. “Why would you think of such a thing like that?”

“I just heard you talking on the phone this morning and it was just strange the way you were talking, but now I realized you were talking to Baekhyun,” Yeonghee laughed. " Why did you set this all up?"

"I think it'll be okay, Chanyeol, you should just tell her," Baekhyun reassured the male.

            "Well, Yeonghee..."

"You used my real name again," Yeonghee pointed out.

"Okay, I'm not going to cut corners. It has been a wonderful vacation for the both of us, but I just wanted to see if you'd like being here because the company asked me to come back to live here again and it might be a permanent move. If not permanent, then it could be a long time. With you being my wife, I can’t, and I won’t leave you in Korea by yourself-”

"Wait, wait," Yeonghee interrupted him. "When were you going to tell me this? When is this happening? This trip was just a test?”

“To be honest, yes, but don’t think it isn’t any less special. I brought you here so that you’d like it enough to live here with me.

Also, now you can see that you will have friends here so you won’t be lonely while I’m at work and I just really wanted to you come here with and I really like really want you to, but I didn’t want to be inconsiderate like last time and I just and I can’t and like-”

“Baby slow down before you have a panic attack,” Yeonghee cupped Chanyeol’s face to make him stop rambling on and running out of breath.

"I just- I wasn't so sure with myself until I was sure you would like to be with me in Osaka, but don’t worry because this wasn't going to come into play for another half a year. I was asked that time I was gone for a week and I came back to give you the tickets... I'm sorry I tricked you like this," Chanyeol sighed deeply. "I did really mean it to be a vacation since we haven’t been out of the country yet and I remember when I first was getting promoted to move to Osaka, you didn't want to come because it was too foreign and I wasn't considering your feelings."

"And you can easily find work here too! You can work with me. It would be nice to have another fellow architect for ideas," Baekhyun said. "Kimiko is an interior designer and she's fantastic in giving suggestions on the structure of your designs."

"I can help with your Japanese too!" Kimiko pitched in.

"So, Mrs. Park, what do you think?" Chanyeol turned to Yeonghee, who was still taking in all this information. It was truly incredible to how much thought Chanyeol had put into this announcement. He went through to taking her to Japan, mapping out how she can find work, how she can make a living, and it didn’t even have to include him. She was thinking too long and she knows that she may be giving off the wrong idea, although, she's still unsure herself. "Yeonghee, you don't have to say yes. I was also given the option to decline and continue in Korea."

"Mr. Park," Yeonghee started off slow. Chanyeol already knew the answer and sighed. "I'd love to move to Osaka with you."

Chanyeol gasped and immediately threw his arms around his beautiful and amazing wife. “Honey, are you sure? You really don’t have to do this because of me."

"Chanyeol, that whole thing about moving to a different country was years ago and I've learned a lot more about trust and being in love with you. I was ready to take the first step when we got married and now, I'm ready for the second step," Yeonghee explained. Chanyeol had tears in his eyes.

"Yay! Now we won't hear Chanyeol complain about being lonely anymore," Sehun cheered. "No offense Yeonghee, but I'm kind of annoyed of hearing your name coming off his lips."

"Did you know he makes brownies at 3 in the morning because he can't sleep, or because he’s bored and lonely? I woke up and the house smelled great, but I was so confused because it was freaking 3 in the morning!" Eunbi cried out.

"Wait, you weren't sleeping at your condo?" Yeonghee questioned her husband.

"The excuse is that he's too lonely and needs company," Sehun rolled his eyes. "It's true, but still I don’t know how you deal with him being so attached. I love Eunbi to death, but I know she needs her space and I need mine."

Yeonghee laughed and kissed Chanyeol. "My baby giant~ I'm so in love with you."

"Okay, okay, guys, we have even bigger news!" Sehun clapped his hands.

Sehun and Eunbi quickly glanced at each other, before looking towards the two other couples. "We're having a baby!"

The six friends went into frenzy. Customers looked at them with strange faces and annoyance that they were being so noisy.

“Wow, everyone is just popping out babies,” Chanyeol laughed out loud as he recalled Suho and Jihyun’s baby shower two weeks ago.

"That's why you looked fatter than usual," Baekhyun pointed out.

Kimiko turned and smacked his arm, "Baekhyun that is no way to speak to a woman."

"I'm only joking. I love you, Eunbi and congrats to the both of you. Plus, it’s hard to tell when you're wearing that oversized sweater anyway."

"So, when is the due date? Boy or girl?" Yeonghee asked.

"About 7 months from now," Sehun answered. "And we're not sure yet. We've decided to have a surprise baby shower which will be held a month before the due date."

"We'll be there for sure," Chanyeol looked down at Yeonghee smiling at back at him.
