All of the students in Class 1A nervously sat at their seat while the homeroom teacher called their names one by one for their exam results.

‘ Kim Sohye.’ There was a moment of silence when he called her name.

‘ You are first again.’ The teacher smiled as he gave her the result.

The whole class clapped their hand.

Sohye smiled and went back to her seat with her friends.

She looked again at the paper in her hand. Slowly her smile faded.

Later that day during dinner.

‘Sohye, how was your exam?’

She could look at both her parents expected expression.

They both smiled to see her result.

‘This is good. You can make a great doctor, my daughter.’ Her mom told her.

‘No. She should be a lawyer.’ Her father interrupted.

‘And it started again.’ She murmured in her heart. She sighed and stood up.

Both her parents were arguing about her future that they both did not even realized she already walked out of the house.

As she walked, an abandoned building caught her attention.

She was already at the 2nd floor of the abandoned building.

She looked down carefully.

She took a deep breath. ‘I can do it!’ she half screamed to herself and tried to bring herself to take a step forward to jump.

Suddenly, a thought cross her mind.

‘Ani….Why should I do this?’ she asked herself loudly.

‘I got good result. I can choose what I want with my life.’

‘Hahahahahaa….Huh?! Ya, Kim Sohye..can you do it?’

‘I should have messed up this exam…why can’t I do it?’

‘This would end in just a split second. It won’t hurt if I jump.’

‘This is tall enough right?’

Her expression kept turning from bright to confused and sad as she talked to herself.

After 10 minutes,

‘Let’s just do this then…They won’t listen.’ She gave up.

She closed her eyes, and nervously, took a step forward.

‘You won’t die.’ A voice stopped her from what she was doing.

She opened her eyes and the corner of her eyes she could see a figure was walking towards her.

He squatted beside her and looked down.

He sighed.

‘You won’t die from this.’ He told her.

‘How can you be sure?’ she asked him as she turned to only see a figure in darkness.

She can sense that he was looking at her.

 They both looking at each other in the dark.

‘Who is it?!!!!’ A guy shouted at them and she closed her eyes as the light blinded her eyes.

The next thing she knew, she already running with that guy holding one of her hand.

She could also hear the guy that that flashed light at her was running after them.

They both were panting and sweating as they hide behind a wall.

She could feel his breath face as they faced each other in the dark.

Her eyes searching for his face. Curious.

‘ I think he already gone.’ He told her after a while.

‘Oh…’ she replied and raised her hand that he still held tightly.

Flustered, he let go of her hand.

They were both still facing each other.

‘how can you be so sure?’ she asked suddenly.

‘hmm?’

‘That….I won’t die from falling at that height?’ she asked as she searching for his eyes in the dark.

She caught a glimpse of his eyes as the passing cars lights straight to them.

‘I’ve.Tried.It.’ he answered honestly.

He walked her to the park nearby her home.

‘Gomawo.’ She thanked him and finally able to see his face.

‘This never happened.’ He told her. She stared at him as he seemed familiar to her.

‘oh?!..Oh..k…This.Never.Happened. Trust me.’ she assured him.

He just nodded and turned and walked away.

‘Who is he? Why he seems so familiar? Do I see him somewhere?’ she muttered.

The next day, at school and during lunch,

She walked in the hallway with her friends as they were going to the café.

She was talking, laughing and giggling.

Then she stopped walking as she recognized the figure that was walking into the class 1B.

She shook her head not wanting to accept what she just saw. She then ran to the class window.

‘Sohye..why? why?’ Yoojung, her best friend asked.

‘Who is he?’ she asked her friends as she showed it to the guy that was sitting at the back of the class near the window.

‘Yah! Seriously? Have you been living under the rock?’ Doyeon, her other friend asked.

‘Seriously…who is he?’ she asked again, her eyes still on that boy.

‘It’s Park Woojin.’ Doyeon answered.

‘Park Woojin? Yah…isn’t he the one that come 2^nd under you for the school ranking?’ Yoojung said.

‘No wonder he looked familiar.’ Sohye muttered under her breath.

Then both Yoojung and Doyeon dragged her away from the window as her mind wandered.

They both shocked as Woojin suddenly stood up in front of them. Meanwhile, Sohye eyes were on the floor.

‘ You are blocking the way.’ He told them. Her eyes shifted towards him.

‘Ah. Mian…’ Doyeon then make way for him.

He walked between Doyeon and Sohye.

Sohye turned around and took a step forward to him.

‘Excuse me…’

He stopped and faced her.

‘Do you know me?’ he asked seriously.

Flustered. She remembered yesterday’s promise.

‘No…Ani…’ her eyes wandered from left to right as she speak.

He walked to her as both his hand in his pocket.

His face was just an inch from her. Their eyes met.

‘You are such a bad liar.’ He told her and smiled.
