Taemin and Minho have been together for 2 years. But recently Minho has been distant with Taemin. Taemin never doubted his boyfriend always seeing the bright side of things.  This was until he found Minho having dinner with another person. They looked to intimate to be just friends. His fears were confirmed when he saw them kissing. He went straight up to the table and shoved Minho's face into a  plate of food and took the pitcher of ice water and poured it on the girl. After making a scene he left the cafe and ran home to his apartment and packed all his stuff and went to his parents' house. When he arrived there was no one home since his parents were on a business trip. He slowly and lifelessly climbed the stairs. Once he had reached his room, he threw himself on the bed and pulled out his phone. He quickly dialed his best friend's number. It rang...

 Minie what is it? 

he... cheated.... on .... me

What?

Minho was at dinner with a girl and I caught them kissing. (sob)

Shh sweetheart, do you want me to come over?

yes, I don't want to be alone.

Kai was downstairs putting on some shoes by the time the call ended. He got in the car and drove to Taemin 's parents' house. (You may be asking yourself how does kai know that Taemin is at his parent's house without asking.) He knew whenever Taemin was upset he would always end going back to his room because that room was where all his happy memories with kai were. Nothing could ever beat his friendship with kai.

Kai let himself in with the set of keys his uncle gave him. he went straight up to Taemin's room. He walked right in and laid next to the curled human ball.

Taem, he's not worth your tears.

But I love him so much

I know...

Kai has wrapped himself around Taemin and continues to rub Taemin's back soothingly. Taemin's slowly subsides and his breathing returns to normal. As he starts to fall asleep he is reminded that Kai seems like the only person he can trust other than his parents. He dreams of the time Kai gave him a Valentine. It was a hand-made card and he had taped a sterling silver ring and wrote under it "I'll always be yours hopefully one day you'll be mine."

The next morning was unexpectedly pleasant. Kai woke up and smiled at seeing Taemin still peacefully sleeping. He decided to head to the kitchen to make breakfast. He made pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausages, and fruit parfait. He put all of the food on a tray and took it upstairs.  He placed the tray on the bed. Then sitting next to Taemin, shaking him softly. 

Min-ah wake up.

mmm. 5 more minutes.

the food's gonna get cold by then...

huh...

With that Taemin sits up and stares at the feast set before him.

Did you make this?

Yes, it's for you.

What did I do to deserve this sort of treatment?

Nothing  It's been a while since I made you breakfast so yeah.

I can't eat all this myself.

Are you sharing it with me?

Yes.

Taemin thinks to himself (After 2 years of dating Minho, he has never done anything like this for me.) He then looks up at kai and sees something he has never noticed before. On a chain around Kai's neck there an identical sterling silver ring to the one Kai gave him.

What's wrong?

That ring. it looks like that same as the one you gave me.

it came in a pair.

why did you give me the other one?

it a reminder for you that no matter what I will always be by your side. until death. You are stuck with me for the rest of your life.

You are also stuck with me for the rest of your life kai.

I am happy to be with you for eternity.

3 months later

Minho and Taemin are back together again.

But Minho starts to stary again.

This is the final straw.

Taemin comes home to find women's clothes scattered around their apartment and he walks toward his shared room with Minho to find him in their bed with that same from the restaurant. 

He slams the door and runs out of the apartment. he finally stops at his and kai's spot at the Han river. He slowly slides down to the ground with his back against the tree and hugs his knees up to his chest. After a couple of minutes, he is somewhat calm enough to call Kai.

Han river, our favorite spot.

Stay there I'm coming

Kai gets there in a heartbeat.

Honey, let's get you home.

They arrive at Kai's apartment.

Kai lays Taemin on his bed and covers him with the blanket. Kai stands up to leave.

Don't leave. I don't want to be alone Taemin whimpers.

Minnie I'm just going to get you some hot cocoa I'll be back.

promise?

I promise!

Kai returns a couple of minutes later.

He places the cup of hot cocoa on the nightstand on Taemin's side.

He then climbs into bed and wraps Taemin in his embrace. with this action, Taemin starts sobbing loudly.

What did I ever do to him?

Nothing he's an idiot for cheating on you

I love him so much was I the only one holding on to our relationship this whole time.

I know. I wish you would see that he was not the one sooner.

HUH???

He's not the one for you Tae...

They are enulfed in silene.

The next morning Kai's sleep was disturbed by Taemins's phone ringing.

He growled.

who on earth would be calling this early?

when he looked at the caller id. he internally cursed at the caller. He left the room to not wake the sleeping angel. He also left the apartment at lightning speed. Once he was outside.

What the hell do you want ?

Jongin?

Yes

Why are you answering Taemin's phone?

He crashed at my place last night. Why is that any of your concern?

He's my boyfriend.

Not anymore.

he is still my boyfriend.

What kind of man would cheat on his boyfriend with a girl no less?

Minho you ar scum. You don't deserve to call yourself Taemin's boyfriend anymore.

with that Kai hung up on Minho before the other had a chance to respond.

Taemin wakes up to find his phone missing. he runs downstairs to find Kain walking in with his phone in hand.

Who called?

Minho...

With the mention of that horrid name, Taemin's eyes start to well up with tears.

Kai rushes to Taemin and hugs him.

How long are you going to protect me?

Until you find somebody who can protect you better than I can.

What if I can't?

It's been a year since the end of 2min.

Kai has finally gathered up his courage to ask Taemin out.

Taemin will make me the happiest man alive and be my boyfriend.

They passionately kiss each other.

Minho and his girlfriend happened to run into Jongin one day.

They head to the jewelers.

The ring jongin chose.

It takes a year for Jongin to plan the proposal.

Jongin takes Taemin to their spot looks out on the Han River for a picnic that bright sunny day.

Taemin was enjoying the sight of seeing kids play with their parents. He was daydreaming of him and Nini have kids of there own running around when a frisbee came flay towards their area. Taemin was brought back to the present with the object flying past him. When the frisbee landed he picked it up and went towards the kids and handed it to them again and return to his spot. He found Jongin on one knee.

What are you doing?

Lee Taemin, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?

Huh?

I'm asking you to marry me.

Why so sudden?

Taemin I've been planning this for a year.
