Wilt or Bloom

"12/10/19

Dear Diary,

I came back from Thailand just 2 days ago, am im ecstatic to be back but why do I feel somewhat unhappy..? I knew I would have to come back to my own living space without both my parents but why does everything seem so cruel..? I don't want to feel like the only one happy that's unfair..

I feel suffocated, I want to go back to the good old times... who said I wanted to sit here on my couch alone and crying? No one, I have no one to tell me anything since i basically have myself right now, at least to me I do..

Maybe i've had far too many wine for tonight and just being dramatic as I write but ddont worry I'll be fine tomorrow and act like nothing happened. Tomorrow shall b a new day

"You would think I would still be sulky the next day but here I am painting the pretty Cherry Blossom tree in the front yard.", Sora said as she brushed lightly to color in the tiny flowers. No one wouldn't even know that she was crying like a storm last night as she was painting with much ease and a small grin as she was feeling content with how her painting was turning out.

"Susu, you want to enjoy life while you can..you and I are still young we have lots to do. We can't be sad forever, we have to get back on our feet and just enjoy what life throws at us. Right?", hearing a small yawn Sora immediately giggled, putting down her brush to the side she got off the stool she sat on and layed on the glimmering green grass. Seeing her lay down and pat the space right next to her the small, black furry friend came running to his owner with delight, aiming to Sora's face first showing her that he loves his owner so much before laying down. Sora hair was now sticking to her face with the thanks of her dog's slobber that acted like the glue.

"You yawned and didn't even listen to a single word I said but yet here you are giving me your nasty but loving kisses?", the girl breathily asked before laughing. Thinking that the slobbery kisses were done a much bigger furry friend came running after the girl making Susu jump up from his spot while barking happily at his friend joining. Knowing where the big white dog came from, Sora couldn't help but smile widely while quickly sitting up so she can hug the big baby.

"Moushi, my fluffy baby! Did you have a good groom?", hearing a bark and a big to the cheek the girl rubbed Moushi's head lovingly. Now that her dogs were distracted by playing with eachother; Susu running after Moushi that had a stick in his mouth around the front. Sora quickly got up from her place and walked to the luxurious black car that had the trunk opened. Walking nearer she walked faster to hug the old man who was gathering groceries into his arms and hands.

"Thanks dad for taking Moushi, that's all I needed but here you are buying groceries for your grown daughter. What can I do without you?", her father let out an airy chuckle and bopped his daughter on the head, shaking his head at her silliness. Before knowing it, Sora was handed all the bags of groceries in an instant as her dad quickly ran to where the dog's were playing; calling out their names, makingg the two stop what they were doing and run towards him. Sighing in defeat, Sora arranged all the bags onto one arm and the other so she can carry all of them altogether, walking her way to the front door she couldn't help but smile at her dad laughing while playing with the dogs, the sight made the girl happy but made her chest tightened. Sora couldn't talk about how she felt, she just couldn't- because she was the daughter that was always smiling and just always radiating a positive aura, she didn't want to make her dad feel alarmed and worried about her. Shaking her head at the sudden tinge of guilt she had, the girl quickly went inside her house and put all the groceries into their rightful place.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was just hours after her dad left Sora's so he can finish grading papers and writing an essay about a famous portrait, he said his goodbye with their special handshake that they made that ended with eachother smacking their foreheads. Following her dad outside, she grabbed her keys and got into her car, waiting for her dad to back out of her driveway so she can back up as well- seeing him wave out his window she did the same and blew a kiss his way but what made her laugh was the way he imagined to smack the nonexistenced heart and quickly pressed his gas to catch it. Seeing him gone, Sora made her way to her mother's law firm, feeling a bit queezy but dismissed it.

And she was right about her gut instinct as she was now in her mother's office feeling suffocated in the tense aura surrounding her.

"Since you're back from Thailand did you pick a university that you want to go to?", asked her mother, eyes meeting her daughters. Her eyes emitted a calm demeanor but with her crossed legs and lined lips, she just made the younger latter feel uncomfortable. Her mom was a well known lawyer and expected that her daughter would follow her footsteps but to her dismay Sora was the exact opposite- she was more like her father a free mind who loved to paint his heart out, he loved the arts. Sora mother was agianst all that and felt as if that sort of image was just dishonoring on her part.

"Seoul of Arts ..Private Academy.", Sora said plainly, eyes staring at her feet not looking at her mother. She heard her mother scoff and tsk which mad the girl clench her fist into a ball.

"Arts..it'll take you nowhere. Your good for nothing father is an example. Look at him, he's just an art teacher at an elementary school. Well a private one I'll give him credit for that.", her mother said with a smug look on her face. Sora furrowed her brows and looked up at her mother with disgust.

"Don't talk down about dad like that. He's not ''well known'' and prosperous like you and he doesn't have to be. He's doing what makes him happy and that's arts. He didn't want to live a life where he'll be out in public views like you and enjoying fake happiness when in reality your torn down and miserable! I see it on your face, mom! Those eyebags and wrinkles arent healthy.", Sora felt her face get hot and her eyes feel teary as she bursted out on her mom like that. Her body was trembling a little bit and felt a bit shaky. Not being the daughter to just yell at her parents especially her mom, she felt her stomach turn as she watched her mother touch her face and clear throat while uncrossing her legs, standing up to walk to her organized desk with some cases and files piled.

"We're done talking here. You may leave.", Sora just stared at her mother's figure for a quick second before standing up and leaving. Walking to the elevator so she can go down to the parking lot the girl couldn't help but feel her adrenaline rise. She hated when her mom talked bad about her father like he was a sore loser because he wasn't. The sore loser here is not her dad but her mom. Sora loved both of her parents even if they were divorced and didn't talk to one a another due to her mom being corrupted by money and fame that led to an unhealthy relationship. Not happy with everything that was going on, her mother's dad sent Sora to Thailand to finish her studies. Her grandparents were the one that greeted their granddaughter's arrival at the airport with happy smiles and kisses, they loved her and will always will. They spoiled her when she was born and will never stop.

You would think her parents would pick her up but nope, they were both cowards. They didn't want to meet eachother. Though her dad did come by her house plenty of times to spend qaulity time before he had to leave to do his homework unlike her mom who was so engrossed in her work. She didn't even call her own daughter.. a reason why Sora couldn't follow her steps.

Turning on her car with just a push of the button, Sora decided to go to the famous campus cafe she was hearing about; so she can have a spot where she can go to often and to just have a little breather. So turning on her GPS on the navigator board she typed in her destination and sped off out of the big law firm that her mother owned.

"Not even a welcome back..or I've missed you. Straight to the point as usual.."
