There it was again, her inner dialogue, but it wasn't her friend. It whispered to her, "Everything has gone wrong, it's terrible, no way back, disaster, ruin..." The world seemed closer to her eyes and the air became more soupy, harder to breathe. A glossy sheen coated her eyes that wasn't there before and her thoughts scattered like there was an electrical storm in her head, too many short-circuits to make any sense. All the while the only thing that came through was "It's over, give up, run away..."

The six boys entered her chamber with their heads hung low, while they mumbled words to each other the innocent, human mind of Maya couldn't understand. She looked at them once and the waterworks came undone. The boys stared at her with pity. 

"I thought...we were a f-family," Maya hiccupped while holding the charm bracelet the boys pitched in for her birthday. 

author's note : So, this idea got stuck in my head. This fanfic is inspired by the multiple vampire lore I have encountered, and some will have some sprinkles of my favorites I have read. The only difference is that these vampires are not meant to be romanticized or admired. These kind of vampires will be different. I am the writer Hellody, but lately, I wanted to drift from that account - that have stories that will be completed eventually - because while the writing is passable, I am becoming less and less proud of them save for some that hold up well. However, 90% of the stories I wrote on that account are just not that great in my eyes. You know the feeling when you read a Facebook post when you were in middle school and cringe from the crazy things your young mind wrote? That's how I feel about that account. Anyway, I hope this story isn't confusing since usually I have backbones/outlines for a story, but I don't havecompleted one for this story. We'll see how it goes! Please bear with me since I haven't written a story with so many characters before or at least for awhile. Some chapters may have to be rated M. We will see if this whole story will have to change its rating depending on the reaction of the readers. Please let me know! Hope you enjoy what I have in store~
