Unrequited love

The words I wish I said

A/N:  A one-sided love of Kwang Soo for his Ji Hyo noona.  A love story seen in the eyes of Jae Suk.

Story #1

"I love her. But I can't make her happy" -Chuck Bass, Gossip Girl

"Are you okay?"

We were on our feet and dressed in our perfect fit tuxedos.

Some of the ladies are eyeing you openly.

But you did not mind them. Not even once.

Your eyes were clearly fixed on one woman only.

You coldly responded with two words.

"I'm fine."

But I know the clenched fists inside your pocket says otherwise.

For years I've watched how you hopelessly fell in love with her.

I saw you grinning from ear to ear when she makes her entrance.

I saw how worried you are when she cried after doing a penalty she doesn't like.

I saw how jealous you are when guests compliment her and she responds back.

But what I remember the most was the day when I saw you hide your pain with a big yet empty smile.

The day she secretly told us she's engaged, you were not Lee Kwang Soo, a man deeply in love with a woman.

On that day, I saw Lee Kwang Soo, the actor.

A man giving his best to act happily while congratulating Song Ji Hyo.

You thought you fooled everyone but you didn't fool me.

Remember when you ask me to talk to the producers if you can go home early?

I knew you're going to cry yourself to sleep that night

"I know you're in love with her"

Finally,  I let the words I held in for so long tumbled from my mouth.

"Kwang Soo, why didn't you say anything?"

"Look at her Hyung."

I gaze at the lovely woman dressed in white standing a few feet from us.

The cheers and the applause echoes at the room as the crowd follow the bride and the groom out of the room.

I saw a glimpse of Ji Hyo. And at that moment,  I understand what Kwang Soo meant.

I never saw Ji Hyo smiling genuinely like that.

"She's truly happy Hyung. I can never make her smile like that."

As if the admission hit you harder than you thought.

The tears you held it in is now falling in our cheeks.

And I, your Hyung, did the best thing I could do.

I wrapped my arms around you.

"Why can't I stop loving her Hyung?"

You cried louder as you ask the most difficult question I have ever heard.

"I'm sorry Kwang Soo" I whispered, "I'm sorry but I really don't know why"

Chapter 1: Waw, really a great story. When Kwangsoo said "Why can't I stop loving her hyung" it makes me feel sad too.
This is really a good story.

Chapter 1: Wow, that was simple and yet incredibly moving. For me, it sums up what truly loving a person means. To put their happiness above your own. Well done!
I could really feel Kwang Soo's pain at his sentence, "She's truly happy, hyung. I can never make her smile like that." Such a simple sentence and yet it speaks volumes about the character's emotional state and how much he truly cared for her.
Hope you continue to update. I've subscribed and hope to read more from you!
