Jiwon was dragged by his mom to the hospital to visit his grandmother who was hospitalized since a week before. Not that he disliked or didn’t want to see his grandmother. It’s juts.. he hated hospital. From its smell, its all-white stuffs, and the beep of those machines he didn’t know the name that reminded him of those movies he watched where the character died. Wow. He should stop watching useless thing. And it was weekend! Seriously. He had a plan to play football with his friends but his mom was being stubborn. Even saying she would not let him play video games. Yikes.

They entered the room where Jiwon’s grandmother was nursed. She was on her bed, slowly eating a bowl of healthy porridge that had Jiwon looked away because he hates rice porridge. It looked disgusting. Ew.

But, despite the smell of meds mixed with the room;s fragrance that annoyed him, Jiwon still walked towards his granny to gave her a hug. He was the only child in the family, thus made him the only grandchild. He loved his grandparents so much that he was gloomy for a whole week after his grandfater passed away.

“Aigoo, Jjioni.” His grandma gave him a tight hug and light pecks all over his face. “You’ve grown so much. Granny misses you.”

“I’m sorry for not visiting earlier, granny.” He said sincerely. “How are you granny?”

They talked some more times about anything. Mostly about grandmother’s health which was getting better after a week of nursing. After awhile Jiwon excused himself, saying he wanted something from the convenient store on the first floor. He walked out f the room and got into the elevator. He hit number 1 and the door slowly closed. He shoved both hands un each pockets of his hoodie as he waited. The elevator went two floors down before it stopped. The door slowly opened.

That was the first time he saw the boy.

A nurse was standing behind a wheelchair where a brunette sat on. His hair was partly hidden under a white cap. The boy was so skinny, Jiwon could notice even with those hospital pajamas covering him. His was so pale, a stark contrast with Jiwon’s tan skin. His eyes were big but he looked tired. His lips small and pink, they reminded him of strawberries. And he was pouting. Jiwon’s jaw dropped in awe because the boy was hella beautiful. He immediately stepped aside to gave a room for the nurse and the boy on the wheelchair. The thirteen years old didn’t know he had been staring at the boy before their eyes met for a split second. The elevator went down after the door closed and it st
