“I’m ho -“ Hyunwoo was surprised when Kihyun was already standing in front of him with a smile 

“Let’s have dinner together Hyung” Kihyun said before he took Hyunwoo’s coat and put it on the coat hanger, when Hyunwoo nodded silently Kihyun took his hand and led him to the kitchen

“So what do you have in mind hyung?” Kihyun asked while putting on his apron “Come to think of it… never mind I know what you want, first thing first here’s your apron” Kihyun gave a black apron to Hyunwoo but instead of took it Hyunwoo just stared at it confusedly “Go put it, I’m too tired to cook alone, but no, you are not going to touch my masterpiece aka main menu, you’ll be the incharge of rolled omelette again tonight” Kihyun showed the leader the egg and smiled when Hyunwoo finally took the apron

“When will I get upgraded from master of egg job?” The older joked

“Well… let me think… never” 

The couple spent the rest of the day cooking in the kitchen with Kihyun nagged at Hyunwoo most of the time making sure the older didn’t do anything ‘funny’ that could ruined up his favourite place - kitchen. 

“Waaaa… what smell is this? Smells so good… is that what I think it is?” Hyunwoo approached Kihyun who was mixing sauce for his ‘special grilled beef’ 

“Yup you’re right, it’s a smell of something burning, go check up your egg hyung” Kihyun rolled his eyes, the older get distracted easily when it comes to food and it was amazing that Kihyun let Hyunwoo joined him to cook for dinner that night. Kihyun shook his head when Hyunwoo muttered a ‘’ knew the egg was really burnt. After the burnt egg incident the couple spent their cooking time quietly with Hyunwoo trying his best to be focus on his egg didn’t want to burn it for the second time because he’s the master of cooking egg. It was quiet, only chopping board and cooking oil sound was heard although sometimes Kihyun would hummed to a random songs and Hyunwoo tried his best to stay focus instead of grinning like an idiot. Watching his boyfriend cooking has been always his greatest pleasure, Hyunwoo loves the way Kihyun would frown when he felt something was missing from his recipe or the way Kihyun chopping the vegetables, but what he loves the most from Kihyun when he was cooking is… the look when someone ate Kihyun’s food and they said ‘it’s great’ the smile that lit up on Kihyun’s face, that’s what Hyunwoo loves the most from his boyfriend cooking, the way he smiled genuinely, feeling satisfied of himself, of course sometimes he would fail, nobody is perfect in this world after all but he loves everything about Kihyun, he loves the younger with his flaws, and to be honest those flaws are what make him perfect for Hyunwoo

“I love you Kihyun-ah” Hyunwoo blurted it out of nowhere after staring at Kihyun with those thoughts on his mind

“I love you too but I will kill you if you again messed up our egg, that’s my favourite pan and soon you’re going to ruin it hyung”

“Oh !”

“Thank you for the food” Hyunwoo said before he took his chopstick and chewed the meat excitedly, soon the sound of pleasure filled up their small dining room

“Nice?” Kihyun chuckled watching Hyunwoo eating the meal like he had starved for few weeks, the older didn’t reply but nodding in agreement. Kihyun let Hyunwoo filled up his stomach first and when he was half full and slowed down Kihyun started to open a conversation “You did great today hyung” 

“You weren’t even there” Hyunwoo chuckled but Kihyun could see the leader tensed up a little bit

“Our manager recorded it and sent it to me, I wasn’t there but I have a lot of eyes everywhere so don’t ever think of cheating on me” 

“Do I look like a type who will cheat around?” Hyunwoo tried to change the topic

“Well you are not, but a lot of girls around you are ready to do anything just to be with you - ANYWAY” Kihyun said before Hyunwoo could say anything “you really did great, trust me hyung, you’ll be on the top search during broadcast day” Kihyun put down his chopstick to give two thumbs up to Hyunwoo, the latter smiled and ruffled Kihyun’s hair from his seat across of Kihyun

“All I need is your compliment, that feels great, thanks Kihyunnie” 

“But you really did great” Kihyun pouted “You know what hyung? It doesn’t matter what the result is, I just want you to know that you’ve done well and the result isn’t as important as the journey”

“You are right, and don’t worry I don’t feel down or anything, I just feel happy that finally I can show my voice to everyone, people often think I’m a rapper, time to show them the real me” Hyunwoo said while Kihyun analysing the older’s reaction and was glad that he was telling the truth “Thank you for tonight anyway, I know you were trying to distract me just now, I know you don’t like when people touch your territory, your kitchen” Hyunwoo put his hand on top of Kihyun’s and squeeze it lightly

“That will be once in a blue moon kind of Opportunity hyung, especially after what you did to my pan today” Kihyun frowned

“I’ll get new one for you”

“I want 10 of it”

“I’ll get 100 if you want” Hyunwoo laughed when Kihyun rolled his eyes

“Just help me clean up the plates and I’ll be happy” Kihyun said before he stood up carrying all the dirty dishes 

“Gladly” Hyunwoo followed Kihyun behind and when finally they finished clearing up everything Hyunwoo carried Kihyun and put him on the counter

“YA! Hyung!” Kihyun was about to jump down back when Hyunwoo pushed him back to stay still and kissed the younger “What was that for?” Kihyun laughed when they parted

“For the meal, for making me happy, I love you, I really love you, thank you Kihyunnie” Hyunwoo put their forehead together trying to calm himself from the overwhelming feeling he had that night

“You are welcome hyung, and I love you too” Kihyun smiled and the moment Hyunwoo saw that he put his lips on Kihyun’s again, indulged himself in his version of ‘home’, showed the younger how glad he was that he has a home to comeback too whenever he felt down

“Hyung, are you really going to get me 100 of that pan?” 

“Ummm… I…”

“You are sleeping in your own bed tonight hyung, good night” Kihyun said before he jumped down from the counter and left Hyunwoo to his own room
