Chapter 2

“Jae ah, let’s go out!” Yunho called me. I was tired of ignoring him. I didn’t know why, but I wanted to see his face again. I opened the door slowly, he’s smiling.

“What?” I asked, trying to look annoyed.

“Let’s go out! I got a place I want to go, well, you can come if you want…” OK, this was so strange, but didn’t know why, I followed him.

“Wow! It’s so big!!!” I said excitedly as I came closer to the huge Christmas tree. I’ve forgot now already December, 12th December to be exact.

“Want to take a photo?” Yunho asked. I nodded happily, He asked a woman near us to take a photo for us. When it’s done, I saw it; Yunho was holding my shoulder.

“Yunho…kumawo..” I said as we walked along the street.

“Jae…mianhe…” he said in the contradiction. It made me confused.

“For what?” I asked.

“For being such a rich dictatorous bastard…” he said. I laughed. OK, he got me again. I never thought that Yunho would ever say that to me. I mean, really?

“Haahaha…” still stuggling with my words,” O…OK, that’s fine…”

“Jae ah, what’s your favourite food?” he asked.

“Hmm, let’s see…Well, I love sushi so much, but it’s kind of expensive, that’s why…”

“Let’s eat sushi then!” he dragged me to one of the sushi restaurant. I knew it’s not a cheap one, I wanted to tell him not to eat there, but I was too late. We sit on the seat where we could take the sushi from the rotating machine beside us.

“Just take whatever you like...” he said as he took a plate. I knew that plate, it’s worth 30 times more than a bowl of my meatball. Damn it, how supposed I ate in this kind of restaurant. Seeing my uneasiness, he took an octopus meatball, the takoyaki. OK, I wanted that.

“You like meatball, don’t you? Here…” he gave me the plate. I stared at him happily.

“It’s my treat^^” he smiled as I blushed. I ended up eating it, not just the meatball, but lots of others, until I was full.

I was lying on my bed when the rain started, I prayed there’ll be no lightning, I hate lightning. But it seemed my prayer didn’t get an answer, the lightning stormed my room with its noise. I kept my eyes shut and my hand was covering my both ears. Slowly, I crawled to the wardrobe. I opened the door as I entered it. I hid in it, I thought it’d get rid of the lightning, but it’s not. Tears started to flow from my eyes. I couldn’t help but to remember, the memories. 

That’s when I heard a voice of someone entered my room. I didn’t dare to take a peek. I was so scared. I could feel his presence coming closer. I hid my face behind my knees. Then, the door opened. I didn’t dare to look. Later on, I just found myself on Yunho’s embrace.

“Jaejoong ah, are you OK? Is there anywhere hurt? Or do you feel dizzy?” he asked as he hugged me. When he saw I was crying, he became more worried, he kept telling me to stop crying, yet the tears wouldn’t stop.

“Don’t leave me…” I uttered the words again and again.

“I won’t leave you. It’s OK, I’m here…” he said as he wiped my tears. I couldn’t help, but to bury my head on Yunho’s warm chest, I could hear his heartbeat, it made me calm down. I fell asleep on his embrace.

“Hmmm…?” I opened my eyes as the sunlight greeted me. I yawned as I straightened my back. I changed my sight to the side and I was shocked! It’s…it’s…!!!

It’s Yunho!!! 

Omooo…!!! 

Aaarggg…!!! Noooo…!!!

WE’RE IN THE SAME BED!!! I was in his bed to be exact. I looked down as I opened the blanket. I’m…SAFE! I really thought that Yunho…err…you know, doing something like that. Yaaa! Kim Jaejoong! What are you thinking?!! I shouted in my head, that’s when I sensed a move. Yunho’s arm got my waist, pulling me nearer to him. No! Let me go! I scream in my heart. 

I couldn’t breathe. Our face just few inches apart, I could feel his breathing. His fragrance was drugs to me, it’s so unresistable. The perfect eyes were shut, but I felt like they’re staring at me, it made me stunned. The mole near his lips seemed to make me feel hotter. Damn it, what happened to me?! That’s when he opened his eyes; he looked at me as he examined me. I just stayed silent when he did all of it.

“Jae ah, are you OK?” he asked. I could see he’s worry. I nodded as I remembered last night. I got up and smiled to him,” Kumawo, Yunho…”

“Wait! Jae…!” he pulled my hand. But, unfortunately, he pulled it too powerful; I fell down on his bed again. But this time, I could feel something, something for the first time in my life. I opened my shut eyes as I saw his eyes; staring at me exactly. Our nose warmed each other cheek. Our lips became in one packet, wait a minute! Our lips touched, that’s mean…

I LOST MY FIRST KISS TO YUNHO! NO WAY! TO A GUY?!!

I immediately got up and rushed to my room, but Yunho stopped me.

“Jae, wait!” he pulled my hand.

“Let me go! You ert!” I said.

“What? Hey, come on. Just now was just an incident!” I succeeded to free myself and went to hide in my room. I could hear Yunho’s calling my name a few times, but I ignored him. In the end, he gave up.

“I love you, my other half…” a man voice echoed.

“Oh, Roy. I love you too…” the woman said as the man kissed her.

OK, this isn’t going to work out. It just made me remembered this morning unbelievable scene! I lost my first kiss! Aaargg! I turned the television off as I went to the kitchen. Today was no work since it’s Sunday.

I opened the fridge. Good, there were some ingredients; I could make an omelet for lunch. I cut the onion carefully, together with other stuff. When I was making it, I could hear Yunho’s presence coming to the kitchen. He was searching for water, I ignored him. Eventually, he’s the one who talked first.

“Jae ah, about this morning…” (Yun)

“Just forget it…” 

“But…Hmm, OK. Jae, I want to ask something…” (Yun)

“What?”

“Do you afraid of lightning?” (Yun)

I stayed silent. I was afraid, but I didn’t want to answer it. I stared at Yunho to make him silent, and he did.

“Well, actually, the weather broadcast said there’ll be storm this evening…” Yunho said. I couldn’t believe what I heard. What? A storm? Damn it, I wouldn’t be able to sleep this night, but I need energy for tomorrow! What should I do?

“Jae ah, you can call me if you need anything…” Yunho said as he left. Great. This’s just great!

I could see the cloud became darker. I didn’t want this to happen. Well, I could hide in the wardrobe again, but it’s not helping at all. I sat blankly at the couch. I could ask Yunho to accompany me, but he’d think me a coward or tease me. I hated it. I walked to my room, slowly. That’s when I saw a light flashing on the wall. Damn it! I closed my ears and eyes. I was scared. 

Strangely, I could feel warmness in me, not the fear anymore.

“It’s OK. I’m here…” Yunho whispered in my ear. I looked up, he came for me. I hugged him tightly. He took me to his room; let me take a rest on his bed. He smiled as he put a headset to me. The lightning didn’t bother me anymore. I could hear a beautiful voice, I recognized the voice, it’s Kim Junsu’s.

“Yunho…” I called him, he noticed. I said another thank you to him, he just smiled again. Yunho had change now, he never dictatored me anymore. He’s so kind to me, I thought.

“I’m tired…” I said. Then, he said,” Go to sleep, I’ll be here…” I couldn’t hear it but I could read his mouth movement. So I closed my eyes. I could feel his warm arm covered me with the blanket. I felt safe from the lightning for the first time in my life. It’s all because of Yunho.

“Yunho…” I called him as I opened my eyes, the headset wasn’t there anymore and so was the storm. It’s so silent.

“Hmm, Jae? What is it?” he asked as he rubbed his eyes, well, I thought it’s cute.

“I want to share something…” I said. I knew I was about to tell Yunho more about me, I wanted him to know me more strangely.

“My ears are all yours…speak…” he said.

“I have a dongsaeng. He’s very genius, the opposite of me. I dropped out from school and I was so naughty, but he’s so intelligent and smart. We’re like an earth and sky, totally different. Sometime I fight with him, but I love him. Next year, he’s going to have new semester for his university, that’s why I need lots of money for it. That’s why I work…” I said.

“Jae, don’t you have any relative that could help you with the matters?” Yunho asked. I shook my head.

“I and Changmin didn’t have any parents…We’re...orphan…” I said,” He’s not my biological dongsaeng, but I think he’s like one…”

“Jae…”

“And there’s one night when…” I couldn’t help but the tears were just unbearable. Yunho seemed too confused with my sudden outburst.

“I…I was…” I couldn’t help but to sob.
