Nocturnal Strings

Description

Old said, there's nothing in this world that last forever. I believe it's true. Be it fame, love, interest, friends, family, anything you could name of. It won't always be yours; under your possession. What will one's do when the thing they used to have is no longer belongs to them? Someone tells me, if travelling time is possible; they'll get back into that certain time where things were the way it used to be then they will lock themselves there forever. Then what if even time travel won't prevent you from losing?

Henry Liu is the said main character in this story. No matter how far you go, you can always heard people mentioning his name. He was the most popular violinst and composer back then. His talent on playing the said instrument was once recognized by the world. "The real artist", that was how people called him. But nowadays, you have never hear a person mention his name. Those people who used to praise him disappearing as if they never existed before. Started with the rumors spreading about his injured arm until his absence during the music night gala festival caused people to doubtful toward him. As if the typhoon refused to leave him just yet, some people used this opportunity to spread more bad rumors about him telling the world that the well known Henry Liu is not injuring his arm but is no longer able to create another wonder into the world of music. They made it sounded like he is just a coward who hides under his roof and stopped to publish more music because he's afraid of the unsatisfying result. That time, his silence towards those bad rumors taken as a soundless admission by public which caused people to lose faith in him. As time passed, people started to moving on and forgets about him. "The real artist" in the public hearts had been replaced with "the real coward".

But is that really what happened before? And what happened to him after that? How would he feel when fame leave him behind? If he is given the power to travel the time, will he lock himself in the time where "the real artist" label still belong to him?

This is my first time writing a story of Henry and not featuring any romance (in terms of human to another human feelings) inside. I still yet to figure out how this story will turn into but if you accidentialy bump into this story of mine, I hope you will stay and keep reading until I finish it. And it it's not too much to wish for, perhaps you can give me some input so that I can improve on my other works too!

Anyways, I would like to say thank you to lucidhoney10 for the lovely poster!
